  4. That gives us a solid mechanical and explosives skills on the squad. Plus a highly skilled (and angry) markswoman. Still need a medic or two, some good trainers, some more grunts. I'm figuring we should take about 10 mercs to start with.

  9. I'll pretty much leave it up to you guys to decide and pick those who seem to get the most votes. Over the course of the game I'm sure we wil have a chance to get most all of them into the action! We'll probably need all of them, too.

  12. More votes for Dr. Q, Hitman and Sydney. Ice is like WOlf, another solid all arounder. Steroid is just well steroid. Totally awesome! We've got enough money to hire some of the high end mercs as well. And we're going to need them. Shadow especially, should get some consideration. And Raven and Raider make a greta trainer/shooter team. But Raider and Hitman won't work together. ALso Hitmna is fat and doesn't travel well. But he's a good garrison merc for sectors that are under threat of counter attack.
  13. It looks like Wolfie and Trevor are already getting a lot of support. Trevor is going to break our bank once he levels a few times.
  14. Losing the main merc thing is just a house rule. I think it adds to the tension. ANd defintely when the MERC mercs come on line we will snatch them up. They are good for the lulz and some are awesome. Plus we are going to need landmine detectors and door openers. They usually don't last long in a no relaoad game.
  15. I vote for marksman then. Shooting demons with a gun just seems more awesome to me than cutting them open with a sword.

  17. IS there much of a power difference between magic and melee and ranged combat?
  18. Utilizing the native population will definitely be a big help. But I think we should make sure we bring enough of our own people to do the job until we have enough confidence in the local recruits. I agree that Wolf is a great all-arounder. Plus he has training AND night ops, which is a plus since I imagine we will be forced to conduct much of our combat under cover of darkness, at least initially.

My initial thoughts on the available roster: Possible medics: MD, Fox, Dr.Q, Danny, Thor, Sidney Possble mechanics: Barry, Steroid, WOlf, Static, Trevor Possible explosives: Barry, Trevor, Possible trainers: Buns, Stephen, Raider, Len Good combat mercs: Wolf, Ice, Stephen, Raven, Raider, Len, Lynx, Ivan, Shadow, Reaper, Scully. Good budget mercs: Igor, Grunty, Steroid, Dr. Q, ANy mercs can be trained to do anything reallly, with a few exceptions. But it takes a while and starting skills make a big difference initially.

  21. MD: A newbie just getting his feet wet. Doesn't cost much. Low stats except for med, but a High wisdom indicates he will learn fast if given a chance. Or he may just die quickly.

  24. Enrico has funded us with $1,000,000 USD to commence the operation. Although that seems like a lot of money at first, I warn you that we will be facing heavy oppostion immediately and will most likely suffer setbacks to our income acquiring operations. We should plan on having to live off this money for a considerable time. Probably 3 months at least. Anyway, we do have a great deal of freedom in choosing our starting team. All available mercs can be signed for 1 day, 1 week or 2 week contracts. Generally there is a price break on 2 week contracts, although how much of a break depends on the merc. Also note that mercs on 2 wees contracts will always make themselves available for a contract extension. Mercs on one day or one week contracts may make other plans and not be available for an extension. In choosing our initial mercs we also need to make sure we have the basics of field operations covered at least: medic, explosives, repair, leadership and training. We will be using the Association of Internation Mercenaries as our contact for our mercenaries. The following AIM roster is currently available. Those who are not available we cna leave messages for, and if they return alive from other assignments we can hire them on later. Please peruse the following and consider who would make the best additions to the team. If you want more info on mercenaries, let me know and I will post their current stats, gear, and bio.
