Tell me something. What's the purpose of a penalty kill unit?
  2. What do you mean? He's as much a murderer as Sideshow Bob is. He didn't actually kill anyone.

  4. W00T! I win!
  5. It doesn't have support for EAX 4 though... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> EAX is Creative's creation, and it's not even up to license for other makers of soundcards. They simply have to wait until Creative feels like releasing it public (like they recently did with EAX 3.0 and OpenAL added it shortly after). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh I know. Just pointing out something that the card doesn't have that the creative cards would. "

  7. Shopping for speakers in kind of like shopping for a monitor. You'll want to check out a big electronics store that will hopefully have a number of different speaker sets all hooked up to an audio source so that you can try them out. It'll give you a chance to check the volume level of the speakers and the sound quality as well. Something like this you'll definately want to experience first hand before you make your purchase.
  8. Sounds kind of fanboent. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's from the Codex. What's your point?
  9. Heh. That's pretty neat.
  10. OMG! A patch from EA! Supposed to fix the missing movies. Link

And Montreal's offences has just caught on fire! 3 goals in 2:06.
  12. "Normal" has a pretty long learning-curve, but when you get into it, it's awesome to say the least. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can't imagine a people who's playing the game in Master Ninja mode. He/She shouldn't be normal..(pysically and mentally) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I got about a third of the way through on master ninja mode. It was tough getting that far.
  13. Starting from mission 7 (Nod) and mission 5 (GDI) if I remember correctly, the game crashes as soon as any player-controlled unit goes near the upper left corner of the map. There are variations, and the extent of the bug is variable (I, for instance, had the crash occur anywhere in the upper quarter of the map). Considering that in some missions you actually start around those areas, and in some others you actually have to go over there, this bug effectively renders Tiberian Dawn unplayable. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay. That's an awful weird bug.

Well considering he's doing much better than their other goalie I can see why they are playing him so much. Montreal is back with Huet tonight!
  15. It's a total mess. Not only did they do zero bugfixing because "we're talking 10 years old code here", but they also managed to create new ones. Tiberian Dawn suffers from a showstopper around which a fan-made solution appeared only recently (haven't tested it yet so I can't assure it works), and the music tracks from the expansion are missing. Same goes for RA, and that one has the Soviet FMVs missing. Those are bugs everyone is encountering. Everyone. There seem to be problems with the launcher asking for the DVD, even when it's already in... etc. My advice, steal it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd heard about the Soviet FMV's not appearing but haven't had the oppourtunity to test it yet. Haven't tried Tiberian Dawn yet either. What showstopper is in that one? As a matter of fact, the old Westwood Chat system and TS/RA2 multiplayer lobbies are now managed by the community. There are patches and detailed guides to make both Tiberian Dawn and RA1's multiplayer modes work, and quite simply, to boot. Of course, EA's involvement in this is reduced to allowing the community to manage the lobbies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah, good to know.
  16. I'm not sure either, but it seems to be something about Tome of Magic which was recently put out by WotC. Has some stuff about new types of magic.
  17. Maybe it's just best of the ones that a person has played. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly, no one who didn't play all the games can say that one of them is the best of all. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe they have played the entire series. As soon as I get my new hard drive, I've got 10GB of C&C games to install. "

  19. Were nice, but would be better if original team makes it. But even now with old graphs, Tiberian Dawn is the Best RTS :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Westwood did make RA2. RA2 was the last game in the series that they made I believe. I liked the campy, not entirely serious feel of Red Alert 2. I spent more time playing it than I did Starcraft. That depends on how much of the series you already have. If you are missing several in the series then it's probably a good pick up for you. Unfortunately the multiplayer is broken in the earlier games so no C&C or RA internet games. Even if you have the entire series, if you play them often enough it may be worth it to pick up just to have the entire series on one DVD so no more disc swapping.
  20. My current group in which we play online using OpenRPG uses the built in map grid. It's come in handy a couple times so far what with the fireballs being thrown around by my kobold sorceror. "
  21. He's being pelted with all those flaming arrows and he's still eager. Morale of steel! "
  22. Hah! I remember those. Got that video saved on my computer. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The real artist really was working on c&c3, but the game was halted when problems between Westwood and EA began. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Too bad.
  23. Hah! I remember those. Got that video saved on my computer.
  24. My 9600 Pro will be three years old this summer. I probably won't be able to upgrade it until next summer though. In the meantime though it seems to play everything that I want it too without too much of a hitch. Plays most things that I buy on medium settings still.
