Yeah, he is. Forgot about that. And what's this about rumours about half the team wanting him? Only half? "

Why not ship him off to Ottawa in exchange for Redden?

Isn't there also an alternate cover with Thorton as well? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thornton is on the NHL 2k7 game. Different games. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That explains it then. I remember seeing a headline that said they were the '07 series box shots, but didn't actually read the article. " And Volourn, Luongo even with Florida was playing much, much better than Theodore played in Montreal. Theo couldn't stop a beach ball in his last several games before he got injured. <_< It was painful to watch.

So who's got the better goalie now, Edmonton or Vancouver?

Hmm, you know, the Sharks are looking for someone to complete the Thornton-Cheechoo line. Ron Wilson came out and made it pretty clear that Nils Ekman is losing his spot. I would LOVE to see Havlat take that spot. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure, what are you offering in return though?

Isn't there also an alternate cover with Thorton as well? Havlat wants one year deal. What do you guys think? He getting ready to bail? Who would you trade him for?

Selanne? Selanne got the Masterton Trophy? What did he do to deserve it? <_<

I'd like to say Staal as he's the only one that I've actually seen play (guess where I live. " ). Put him on a line with Crosby. Staal is a big guy that should be able to keep the other teams bigger players off Crosby and is also pretty good in the defensive zone.

Everyone is apparently saying that the top 12 are good prospects but there is a steep drop in quality after that. TSN's Top 30

John Cleese on soccer vs. american football
Bah, a Canadian was the one that invented the game though.

Was I right or what
I'm sure that they would for 34.2 billion, but the article said 34.2 million.

That's what I meant. I was agreeing with domination portion rather than the slaughter. It was no where near a slaughter.
-
NHL
I'm not sure what game you watched, Frenchie, but a three one game isn't really a slaughter. And when one of those is scored into an empty net with less than two minutes left, does that mean Carolina was running up the score? Ah well, you know what, the world kept turning today even though the Oilers lost. I've been keeping to myself at work today so as not to listen to everybodies opinions on the game. Better luck next year, Oilers!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You sure the world kept turning, I could have sworn it stopped this afternoon for a little while. Seemed as if the sun had stopped moving, and the clocks were slowing down. Curiously enough this was around 2:30. On another note, I'm done school now except for my final exams. With regards to the game, I have to agree with Astro. Carolina showed up for the full sixty minutes. Edmonton was only really there for the last twenty and by the time that happened it was too late.

NHL
The only difference was that I wasn't nearly as pissed off this time when the Alberta team lost. Not sure why, but I guess it was the fact that Edmonton didn't end up blowing a 3-2 series lead... <_<

NHL
Was I the only one that was thinking EXACT REPLAY of game seven between Calgary and Tampa from '04? Canes come out to a two nothing lead through two periods only to have Edmonton turn it up and score a big goal, but are unable to get the equalizer. Except for the empty-netter, it was the exact same game. O.O

Top Ten NES Games of All Time
Probably the game you are thinking of, cause it did indeed rock! Metal Storm was indeed released in 1991. I was only 3 when it was out and so wasn't even born when Megaman 2 came out. Didn't really get into gaming beyond C&C until '98 when I really started building my own game collection, so I missed a lot of the classic NES and SNES games. Got to play a few like Metal Storm, Zelda, Mario and Secret of Mana on my trips to visit an uncle who had both a NES and an SNES. Haven't actually played any of the megaman games. I've never really been a fan of megaman for some reason. Just never appealed.

Top Ten NES Games of All Time
How about Metal Storm? Side-scrolling shooter game. Not a very long game, but I thought it was pretty fun. It had a password feature that would allow you to go back to whatever level you were at with your score and item selection. Not sure quite what you are referring to with the energy tanks idea, it only allowed you to take one hit. Two if you managed to find an armour powerup. There were very few special items and you could only use one at a time with the exception of armour. It had a shield powerup that would project a shield on one side of you that would block shots or kill enemies that ran into it. There was also a plasma beam that was stronger than your basic weapon and could shoot through walls. There were two difficulty levels however you had to beat the game once on normal before you could play it on hard. If you go through it again on hard some of the maps atually change a fair bit and are much harder. The coolest thing about the game though was the inclusion of the gravity feature. Your mech had a gravity generator that could reverse gravity on the level. If you switched gravity then you could walk on the ceiling and avoid certain hazzards. However when you flipped all the enemies on the level would also flip so say that there was an enemy on the roof above a spike pit, you could jump up and reverse the gravity to send him falling into the spikes. " Now that I think of it there was a final item that would turn you into an invicible fireball when flipping gravity that would kill any basic enemy and massively damage bosses if you hit them while flipping.

Top Ten NES Games of All Time
Wasn't Battletoads for SNES? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope. It came out for the NES. I remember playing it with the old square NES controllers till my thumbs could no longer bend. That damn racing section was one of the most infuriating moments in my personal gaming history. <_<
