I understand the chanting their name to supposedly distract them somewhat, but I don't recall a crowd actually chanting something like "You suck!" before. The Ottawa crowd was chanting "Fleury!" earlier tonight and I've seen crowds boo a player everytime he touched the puck, but that's it. Maybe I just haven't been watching the right games. EDIT: So far my predictions are on track. Min and Van are both still tied, so we'll see how that goes... And of course now Anaheim scores...

If you want some better draft picks then you need to have a Philadelphia Flyers 06-07 style season not an Atlanta Thrashers 05-06 style season. I think I'll have to find some way to weasel out of my Martial Arts class tonight. I don't want to miss the first 2 hours of the Ottawa game. I should be able to juggle my attendance around to when the games are not playing...

Here's my fantasy team. I think this team will do better than last years. Half of the people I chose last year were great in the first round, but they were still eliminated. Last year I had a bunch of Montreal players (including Koivu. Damn you Williams!), my only Carolina player was Brind'Amor and 9/10th of my starting players were gone by the end of the second round. I've got another couple days to make changes. There are some people on there that I'm not sure about, but managed to find a spot based on the rest of the picks in that round. I'm hoping that I can beat my showing last year in the Future Shop pool. I managed to come in around 2000th, which isn't as bad as it sounds considering there were around 30,000 people entered. I like your predictions for who wins each series, but only a couple changes. Eastern Conference Buf/NYI : There is going to be at least one game when the Islanders come out flying, but it won't change the outcome of the series. Sabres in five. NJD/TBL : Sorry, but I've gotta go with the Devils here. The Lightning goaltending is the weak spot and I don't think they'll be able to power enough past Brodeur to make up for it. Devils in six. ATL/NRY : I like the Rangers and I think they'll be able to down Atlanta. Rangers in six. Sens/Pens : Likely going to be one of the best match-ups in the first round. Senators in seven. Western Conference DET/CAL : Calgary has been pretty bad lately, but I do think they will be able to take the Wings in the end. They'll need a couple games to get going and Hasek will go down in game 4 with a groin injury. Flames in six. ANA/MIN : Anaheim has been pretty bad lately while Minny has been hot and I think that momentum will carry over into the first round. Minnesota in seven. VAN/DAL : I predict another choke job by the Stars and another first round exit. Vancouver in five. NAS/SJS : This is a tough one to call, but I think the Sharks can do it. Sharks in seven.

I never got past that one mission in Homeworld 1 where you have to get through the sphere of Ion Cannon frigates and destroy the warp thingy. The closest I managed to get was sending wave after wave of kamikaze fighters. I ran out of money before I could kill them all though.

How about a game where you are not the chosen one, but rather some guy who scams people into think that he is the chosen one. After all the chosen one is the one who gets all the perks, fabulous riches, all the girls, that new castle next door. All through the game you have to dodge assassins sent your way who think that you are the real chosen one and various other people all mistaking you for the real hero. You could either help or hinder the real hero depending on how you act in his/her name, possibly ending up thrown in the dungeon by the BBEG who really doesn't want to hear your story about how you aren't actually the chosen one and just happened to have the same name...

With the regular season all but wrapped up (with the Islanders beating the Devils!) it's time to start talking playoffs. Who are your picks? Whose going all the way? Who's getting upset in the first round? Who I ask, who?!

I finally beat the Nod campaign, but I had to lower the difficulty to do so. No matter what I did GDI always wiped out the Scrin. I managed to work my way to a near standoff where I had enough vertigo's that I could wipe out 90% of the forces that GDI sent at the Scrin, but it was that last 10% that really did the damage. I was so busy sending waves of vertigo's out that I didn't have time to do anything else. It didn't help that the Scrin had absolutely nothing in the way of units and didn't bother to build anything despite having 6 harvesters constantly harvesting and several production structures just doing nothing!

According to TSN his contract this year was $7.6 million and I found this on CBC. Mats Sundin for $5.32 million? That's a good 2 million less than this year, why wouldn't they pay it?
