Is Bulis greased up or something? It seems like he's managed to just slip out of about 5 bodychecks along the boards there in OT. EDIT: Holy crap. *hopes he didn't wake anyone up* Hurray! Cowan scores. Banked it off Giguere. Did you see the shot from inside the net? Its like it just phased through his pads or something. No. I must have missed the net cam shot. I saw the usually centre ice zoomed in shot and one from right above Linden along the boards.

Neither game really went as I would have expected. 5 goals on Brodeur and the Wings shut out?
  6. Okay, maybe it won't teach Bok. I've been reading through the comments there. The XT at least still seems to be a good buy and hopefully the 2600 series will smack the 8600 around.

I'm guessing they didn't make a miraculous comeback. I stopped watching after the first... EDIT: Ouch...

I should probably get my second round predictions out there before the games start, so here they are! Eastern Conference: Buffalo vs New York: Sorry Volo, but as well as the Rangers played in the first round I just don't think they will be able to win 4 against Buffalo. Buffalo won't sleepwalk through this series and will take it in 6 games. Ottawa vs New Jersey: With all due respect to Brodeur I don't think he'll be enough. Ottawa will have their hands full with the stifling defensive game, but their depth up front will give them an edge. Ottawa in 7 games. Western Conference: Detroit vs San Jose: Sorry Detroit, but this team won't be relying on it's goaltender to make 80 saves per game. San Jose is fast enough that I think they'll be able to pepper Hasek for more than 20 shots a game. Sane Jose will take this in 6 games. Anaheim vs Vancouver: As much as I hate to say this, I have to go with Anaheim in this round. I just don't think that Vancouver is playing well enough to beat Anaheim. They'll need to be much better if they hope to win. Anaheim wins this 5 games.
  12. I bought my copy on release day. I went around to a couple EB Games stores that didn't have it. Finally ended up at Future Shop, but they only had the normal edition. If they had a collector's edition I would have bought one.
  13. I just read the article now so I think I know where you are coming from now. The article is arguing that the 7600GT had such a massive performance increase over the 6600GT that it was well worth it for people to upgrade from the 6600. Even though you could find a 6600GT for much less, the performance edge that the 7600GT had still made it a good buy. They argue that this is not the case with the 8600GT. According to their benchmarks the 8600GT is actually a worse performer than the now much cheaper 7600GT so there is no reason for a gamer to buy a 8600GT.
  14. The 7600GT is considerably cheaper than $200. The 7600GT is in the $120 range. There really isn't anything worth buying around $200 at the moment. The X1950 Pro and the 7900GS Are pretty even and can both be found in the sub $200 range. I know. But it wasn't at that price when it was released, which is what matters in context of this specific review. Why should it's introduction price point matter? Are you planning on going back in time to buy a 7600GT?

Supposedly you are allowed to trim it after a loss.

You tied Maggie. The monkey went 4-4 as well.
  17. Apparently Paizo wasn't the only one to get a license yanked. Dragonlance is gone too.

  19. Pick up an XTX. That'll teach Bok!

  21. My thumb is killing me today. I need to work on my blocks before I go to next weeks martial arts class. Somehow my opponent managed to hit my thumb in the same spot with three consecutive kicks. He was wearing padding on his foot and I was wearing gloves, but it still hurts.
  22. I'm usually the guy stuck in line behind this person. Because we like to piss you off.
  23. Because you never have the one that we want in plain sight! It's always hidden off in some corner!
  24. Are you a pimp, or possibly some kind of drug lord? Mafia crime boss maybe? WTF do you get the money for all this stuff?

Canucks kept the faith and proved my prediction right. Vancouver over Dallas in 7. :D Linden leads all active players with 6 Game 7 goals (6 assists as well) with the game winning goal tonight and an assist on the second empty net goal. Vancouver deserved this one. Turco kept the Stars in it during the second period onslaught. The final score is right where it should have been thanks to the two empty netters.
