  1. First off, no one cares. Secondly, weren't you the asexual guy? Edit: I just saw your sig.
  2. Indulgences was precisely one aspect in which protestantism was more traditional than catholicism. Indulgences was just one of the things where Luther wanted the church to go back to its more traditional and stricter ways of not selling indulgences. Of course, the Catholic leaders told Luther to go and take a running jump in a lake, and thus a schism happened. Luther was fundamentally a traditionalist, who wanted a stricter, more literal following of Christian teachings, specifically the Bible and Saint Augustine. In fact, both Luther's and Calvin's theology was basically taken from St. Augustine.
  3. Blank, I don't think you understand that the Catholic worldview is based upon a Medieval mindset whereas Protestantism is more dependent upon Renaissance and Enlightenment concepts. First, I'd argue that the Catholic worldview was the basis for the Medieval mindset and not the other way around. Second of all, Protestantism is not more dependent on Renaissance and Enlightenment concepts by itself. In fact, Protestantism as envisioned by Luther, Calvin and the rest, was dogmatically, at least as backwards as Catholicism. While Protestantism did prove to be a lot more conducive to progress than Catholicism, that wasn't due to any doctrinal progressivism on its part but rather, on the fact that they had very little political power and as such couldn't influence goings on as much as the Catholic Church could.
  4. I thought educated people were able to write in their native language without too many mistakes. I guess I was wrong. Also, they lost money in the sense that they voted based on the assumption that that vote would allow them to save money due to the change in taxation. When that didn't happen they, of course, felt robbed.
  5. What about violence to vegetables? (I am not kidding)

I cleared the cache, and the problem persists. Also, after clearing the cache, the tab icon turned into the blue V loststraw mentioned in his post. @Rosbjerg: LINKY

I don't have that icon problem in the tab. However, one thing I've just noticed is that topics with developer posts no longer show the appropriate "O" icon.

The friends and the tabs issue is resolved, the smiley isn't. The smiley I'm seeing when I post :)) is the same as when I post :) (except for the white borders). I'm guessing this problem is universal, and not exclusive to me.

I don't think so. Would Dom Inspector make a difference? Edit: I have no idea what just happened, but after uploading a personal photo to my profile using IE, everything started to work as normal in Firefox.
