  1. Armando Iannucci. He also created I'm Alan Partridge, The Thick of It, Veep, and Avenue 5. All very much worth having a look.
  2. Every time I see the words Steam Deck I think this guy named it:
  3. See, positively slathered in thick sarcasm.
  4. I'm not unaware that your whole deal with UBI and the like is written maybe-really-actually-obviously-sarcasm, and plausible deniability in order to avoid actual discussion and defuse debates. I'm a regular genius sleuth. I am so good I even infer things
  5. Your posts read as sarcastic more than half the time.
  6. Yet the Austrian school of economics soldiers on.
  7. Not every single election, just every single election the GOP loses. Both sides, someone will, maybe, say.
  8. In a similar way that politicians that are against abortion, are actually ok with it, as long as it involves, their family members or, perhaps, mistresses.
  9. Jean Paul Belmondo has passed away at 88.
  10. Prices have gone up again in the past couple of weeks.
  11. For how long can the courts not do their job? Can they just delay things forever?
  12. That's exactly it. It's why I'd like to read Gromnir's view on the law. It seems absolutely insane.
  13. I'm rather curious to know what Gromnir has to say about Texas' new abortion law and the Supreme Court's role in the situation.
  14. In Portugal there's a Philosophy class in the 10th and 11th grades. I assume there's something similar in other European countries. In the 90s the curriculum was mostly Greek philosophy
  15. They did not have a monopoly on genocide, no.
  16. I mean, it is true that the British Empire caused genocide, famines, and destruction worldwide in order to achieve political and economic gain. But to say it was equivalent to the Phantom Menace is, perhaps, too much.
  17. Thinking about it, I guess I have no idea what spirituality even means in the context of that graphic. A vague, nonbinding belief in the supernatural? Openmindness regarding the supernatural and religious? Shunning of organized religion? Strong belief in the holy ghost? Willingness to ignore all the crap in the world in order to feel content and accepting of your daily life? Spirituality is very vague and wide-ranging as a concept, really.
  18. Spirituality seems out of place?
  19. I believe that at around 10 million, give or take, a single person can live off interest, comfortably.
  20. I have Calax on Facebook still, if I recall correctly. He is the one who is in New Vegas.
  21. Generally a nice quote for Libertarians.
  22. That Gorgon guy also totally disappeared. He was never seen again.
