Do not say anything negative about the witcher on the biosidian forums. I stated it didnt impress me and misspoke about its supported camera angles. Well a witcher dev posted a reply to my comments and got his panties in a bunch and cried to bioware 'their moderator' was bad mouthing the witcher. jay from bioware was better about it, and seemed to bring it up to me just to appease the witcher dev so he could say he 'spoke to the mod'. Also that witcher dev posted counter points in a fairly forceful fashion anytime anyone else posted non-praise for the game. Brian from Obsid then stepped in and in toughpants fashion posted that cooled the emotions that were about to spill over. I was seriously debating to tell the guy to go screw, mod tag or not, for his rude reply to me. Thankfully Brian stepped in and better heads came out on top. I doubt This thread would have survived over there. As a side point, I saw myself as a Obsidian mod not a bioware one, which I publicly stated more then once. That prob didnt build me any goodwill with bioware however, even if IMO it was truthful. But thats another story. heh

I'd be happy to host such if you need forums, article/wiki space, email addresses or what not

Sorry to hear about your issues What kind of video card, cpu and how much RAM do you have. I have a 6600GT video with dual channel 1gig ram and a amd64 3000+; bloodlines played smooth with fairly quick load times. This is with highest eye candy on. Deleting your cache, temp folders and defragging helps. May also want to turn down eye candy.

Keep in mind they have stated nwn1 scripts must go though a "import process" via the toolset. That implies to me: a. some functions, formatting has changed and the import process converts the scripts b. nwn2 scripts will not work with nwn1 c. functions bioware adds to nwscript1 after they lock the function list of nwscript2 will make those scripts incompatiable as the import tool wont know how to handle, convert those functions. Note: none of the above points are confirmed, just my educated guesses, I certainly may be off base. FYI

Also on a related note, its the (lack of) honor system. When you get a exclusive screen for example sadly most people, other sites will post it and not give credit where it came from and indirectly take credit for it.

Instead of being a Christian Witch? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know a couple of those acually. And yes, I am not chrsitian... anymore

To Wiccans they are an oath breaker who betrayed their coven. Strange to have a class like this in a game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because thats a fairly moden viewpoint of warlocks (50 yrs tops), from a wiccan/pagan standpoint. From a mythos, historical standpoint warlocks have been part of mythology for thousands of years pre-modern wiccan religion and did not have anything to do directly with being a oath-breaker. Speaking as a pagan witch of course.

They are trying to bring the ruleset closer to the PnP version of not literally then at least the spirit of the rules. The whole bioware familar mess is not only against the rules but also the spirit as well. I for one am glad they are trying to bring the gameplay, rules back to its roots. My 2 coppers

NWN 2 News brings you a interview with Ferret on the topic of the Protoganist and PC on the main NWN 2 story. Here is a snip: Strauss: You have said in past interviews you do not want the PC to lift himself out from obscurity in his village to being a 'hero' via repetitive 'fed ex' type quests. What are you going to do specifically that is different from other games of the genre to get around this? Ferret: Obsidian Entertainment has some veteran designers who are making sure that things stay more engaging than a simple

Sorry V but until you get the toolset you really dont know how well you can, or cant emulate sewers. You are jumping the gun on this topic. And second this may turn out to be more a issue of lack of skill with the toolset then not having the tools to do so. Something to consider.

The FAQ is your friend. short answer: Q2 this yr

RE: Sewers First of all this is not new, if you would have followed the front page of nwn2news this surfaced several weeks ago. That aside from what has been described it is not that big deal to emulate a sewer. Use the dungeon tileset, paint some water streams down this hall and that. Drop some rubble and garbage here and there, spawn some rats. Boom, done, instant sewer. Really not a huge issue.

Ok I am doing something wrong... perhaps someone can give me some advice on the sim part of the package. Long story short, I keep going bankrupt. by the 60's or 70's. LOL I *think* my issue is this, when ever a new script bld opens up I demolish the old and build the new. However the newer the script bld the more time/ppl it takes to make a movie. So my movie output per yr goes down as my costs go up. And I eventually go deep into debt by the middle of the game. Should I keep a old and new script bld and use the older to pump out quick movies, for cash revenue and the new to pump out high quality? Or is there something else I am totally missing? Any input appreciated. Oh and how the hell do I get more people to join my studio? My orginial plan would have worked if I wasnt so short on crew and extras!

Thats more of a IE issue then the site. The site expects the browser to be 100% W3 compliant. If it isnt, like IE, then it has a few quirks. If the browser in question is 100% compliant then it displays as intended.

A discussion was had to use a wiki module within the site or, as others suggested, have a dedicated subsite such as wiki.nwn2news.net or what not. It was decided against the subsite and it would be easier for all involved to have the wiki as part of the main page. I personally was on the fense and didnt take a stand, those community members brought into the discussion decided such as I left the final decesion in their hands. (these people were all well known from in the nwn1 custom content community.)Not saying it was the right choice or not, but explaining why it was done this way.

Maybe I'm blind, but I can't see where can I do it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Main page, bottom left side.

If you change the theme of the site to the ICE theme is very wiki-fied look with almost no images. The poster who did the compairsion did not look though the selection of themes and find a less image intensive one. Which typlical users are able to do. One does not have to keep the default theme. The point of the default theme is to draw attenion for new members/visitors not so much be a wiki exclusive look. Also I enjoyed how they compaired a NWN2 wiki barbarion pages from the barbarion NWN1 wiki page. Shouldnt they compaire a nwn2 entry with a nwn2 entry? After all the nwn1 pages have eben up for some time and has has a lot of time to tweak and edit and look all pretty. With all that taken into accout I dont hold much water into the 'comparison'.

NWN 2 News is proud to announce the first NWN 2 Wiki is now online! The community has been working on it for about a month populating it with a foundation of information. Of course there is still a fair amount to get done, and we would appreciate any help and input you can offer. The Wiki is mainly focused on toolset, custom content and the technical aspects of the game (such as game mechanics). But if you wish to add other related NWN 2 data it is more then welcome.
