  1. You're never going to get a KDR like that with the Pyro, its just not how the class plays. Its theoretically possible but unlikely considering how close you have to be to get a kill. That sort of engagement is way too risky to run constantly, even inept players can fire a rocket properly at close range sometimes. I think my record is 24 kills in a single life, although I've beaten that with the demoman. When I said tougher classes I meant those that had more HP and could spam their primary. A soldier is very straight-forward. A demoman is almost trivial to play in the chaos of a pub game. The Spy is difficult to play well, most players are dead giveaways. Then again, my perception might be skewered because of the class I play so I generally hunt them rather then the other way around. Now the Sniper is generally easy to play, but I've run into so many players that are zoomed in all the time and focused or something else that they never see me coming I couldn't help but think they'd be better served by playing a class that isn't so specialized. But yeah, the Pyro is hard to play well. You have to be on the top of your game constantly because the only thing you're good at (close range combat) is where everyone else can actually defend themselves. I enjoy that tension. I play the Medic and the Engineer to relax afterwards.
  2. I need to find some TF2 servers with better players. Its no fun killing noobs. It got ridiculous at some point, I was on this server and my entire team was snipers and spies. I **** you not. All the noobs think snipers and spies = easy kills with little risk. Rubbish of course, both classes die in droves when played by poor players, unlike the tougher classes. I thought we were going to be destroyed. It turned out the other team was just as bad although they had better composition. I was waiting for them by the spawn and they literally went in single file over a bridge, and I lined up my flamer behind the heavy and burned five of them at once. The ensuing confusion was glorious, everyone turning around to see where the fire is coming from but obstructed by the heavy until the end because he had more health than all of them. Of course, I only dared to do this because of how bad they were, it takes far too long to flame a heavy to death and a good one with shred you in a second. I ended up winning another match on my own, taking the final control point while my comrades, all of them spies and snipers were god knows where, probably on the other side of the map. I hold no illusions though, the few times I played with what to me look like pro players I was barely able to hold my own and got my ass handed to me more than once. Playing the pyro is too much fun. There is nothing like reflecting a Demoman's grenade or Soldier's rocket at close range and to see them explode to gibs.
  3. I recalled it being pretty bugged and not easy in the first place either.
  4. What's the current opinion on Wasteland 2 development? Has anyone been following it closely? I've been watching some youtube vids and the game looks like a Russian Fallout 2 knock-off. Confusing UI design, ****ty art direction, 2003 graphics. Frankly if I didn't know who was making this I wouldn't give it a second glance.
  5. There are 12 straight options, 30 gay guys for buggering, 41 lesbians, 57 transsexuals, 1 table and we're still not sure if the sheep from Arcanum is gonna make it to the party or not. Wow you talk about hyperbole. Do you have an issue with Romance options for gay fans of the game? You seem to be making a big about the fact that Bioware takes the issue of Romance inclusivity seriously? No. Took a page out of Volo's book for this one.
  6. I find you abundance of faith in BW disturbing

  8. If it were the latter I think the Bioware inquisition would have already turned it to kindling
  9. more important: they better all be romanceable, or there will be hell to pay. HA! Good Fun! If the cow man, or the the woman on the left is romanceable, how do we classify that. Or are those helmets
  10. The burning question is... Are there any straight people in that pic?
  11. Jesus and his Apostles at the Last Supper? If previous titles are anything to go with it will more likely be the Last Days of Caligula. You make me laugh lil' buddy
  12. I heard only good stuff about new Wolfenstein. After long time FPS focused on Single Player mode. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2014/04/preview-confronting-nazi-horror-in-wolfenstein-the-new-order/ Didn't know they were going single player only. That may actually end up being good.
  13. Achievement unlocked: Slaughtered hahahahahahahhhaahhahahahahh 2 gold for a boss hahahhahahahahah
  14. Dunno why you're excited for it, I can't tell games of this type apart. They all look same and play same, like Rune from ten years ago. Its the lack of fluid animation and reaction that kills this type of game for me. The guy hit him with a maul and the boss didn't even move. Also a man in full plate mail rolling around just looks silly. I'm not saying its a bad game, just this type of experience is no longer for me, its too... gamey.
  15. I haven't seen an anime that tops it in visual quality, but then I prefer realistic drawing to real anime and Jin Roh leans towards the former heavily.
  16. I mean the story and the visuals and world exploration. The actual stealth mechanic was crap.
  17. A decent anime film, preceded by a manga called Kerberos saga. It created the armor-with gas mask and glowing eyes that was later ripped off by helghast troops in Killzone and everyone else.
  18. DX HR was far too easy. On top of that the stealth could be quite ridiculous at times since the enemies can plainly "see" you but don't react at all. The endgame was poor. On the other hand the design, the beginning and the middle were a lot of fun.
  19. Has anyone noticed the blatant Jin Roh rip off in the Wolfenstein New Order ads? Btw the trailers don't show anything remarkable. I think this one is going to bomb.
  20. Well that certainly won't hurt. For me personally, I couldn't get over the crappy controls, they felt so imprecise and sluggish. Yes it reminded me of Deathtrap Dungeon and the early Tomb Raider so I played it for about an hour and gave up. May come back to it though
  21. Oh Jesus I forgot what the previous one was. This is a Da Vinci by comparison
  22. Well its better than most I've seen. Of course box art had a certain something when the boxes were large, now only the collectors editions look like a package should.
  23. It was a good idea, but ruined a bit by too much fantasy kitsch, in the colors and the flaming sword imo. Too much unnecessary drama in the picture. Seas boiling, sky is falling the ground burning etc. Should have hired Brom or some such (I would if I had the money) Its also kitsch in its own way but its less in your face.
  24. This always makes me laugh
  25. The US slide from only power to one of great powers is definite but gradual. One must remember that the US rose to prominence because: a) its a huge country without real enemies on its borders b) Europe, where all the great powers were, imploded twice. Those are extremely favorable conditions. None of the US's competitors have that now, because they often have other regional powers as their neighbors and, at the very least, the US, which will do as much as it can to keep them from rising too high. That said, a multipolar world is inevitable in the near future, if the tempo of changes that characterizes modernity holds up.
