  1. I've heard Square forgot were is Europe again and they are trying to find that world map the portuguese left there in the 15th century so they can locate it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Convince Europeans to buy more games About 10? years ago, NA was on the short list (if we got games at all) until they realized we REALLY want them to send them our way.
  2. Yeah, screaming for more guards to come and help! (Being truthful, the only qualms I have with that tactic is the dang thing runs out of napalm too quickly ... ) And their screaming leads their allies into a trap :D If you're running out of ammo, you are using too much flame Only about 5 shots are needed to light someone up... and then they'll die eventually. So a full Flame thrower is good for 20 people (give or take) that's VERY good ammo use the world may never know.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm sensing that may be a good thing. (Unless this is a cover for the fact that some people in the world already know ... then again, that may still be a good thing.) Reminds me of a joke (stop me if you've heard it): Sadist and Masochist meet through a newspaper ad (old joke: let's modernise with chat room), and decide to take their meeting to the next level. Going back to the Masochists place, who undresses and stands quivering with anticipation, naked before the sadist, who stands swinging the cat-o'nine-tails jauntily. "Whip me!" says the masochist, breathlessly. "No." says the sadist. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's pretty funny
  3. It seemed more like black smoke creatures to me, and remember that Danielle was talking about "When you see the black smoke," which we all thought referred to the pillar of smoke from that fire on the beach. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ouch! that's a good point.
  4. Thanks KQD :D
  5. Thanks KQ3 :D
  6. It means you enjoy the inflicting of pain more than the efficiency of a quick, quiet kill ... but, but, when they're on fire they can't shoot back :D They just run around screaming :D the world may never know....
  7. Killer instinct? Does enjoying using Flame Throwers on enemies in Deus Ex just to watch them run around on fire make me a bad person?
  8. I've heard next year.
  9. Until you get used to the controls, go for Legshots. That'll slow your enemies, or knock them down, giving you more time to plan and execute your moves.
  10. I'm not sure what to make of it.
  11. Baldurs Gate 1 : 87% (It started the modern era of RPGs) Baldurs Gate 2 : 85% (started good, but the end was a bit underworked) Icevind Dale 1 : 60% (bugs made it unplayable) Icewind Dale 2 : 70% (better than the first) Planescape Torment : 90% (Awesome) Fallout 1 : 90% (also awesome) Fallout 2 : 99% (the BEST) Vampire Bloodlines : N/A Temple of elemental evil : 75% (Dry and dull and buggy, but still better than IWD/2) Neverwinter Nights : 76% (Go and fetch only works so well) KOTOR 1 : 95% (Awesome) KOTOR 2 : N/A Morrowind : 80% (great game, but there is such a thing as 'too much' of a good thing) Dungeon Siege: 60% (meh) Diablo : N/A Diablo 2 : 80% (good, mindless fun) System Shock 2 : 96% (Fantastic Horror game :D ) Arx Fatalis : N/A Gothic : N/A Gothic 2 : 50% (only tried it, sucked too badly) Soulbringer : N/A Wizardry 8 : N/A Sacred : 78% (pretty... but it's no Diablo2) Arcanum : 75% (Would have been far better if the game was balanced) Jade Empire : N/A Dungeon Lords : N/A Deus ex : 85% (totally changed my view on combat) Lionheart : 72% (it has it's fun moments, the end isn't one of them) Might and magic 9 : N/A

  21. Yes, because it's obviously shallow for a game to be portrayed well visually. He wasn't saying that a game with good graphics is a good game (worth ooing and aahing over), but simply that the graphics help him enjoy the game. The idea of anyone who likes good graphics in their game being shallow is a silly one. And if you disagree - I challenge you to post how the Resident Evil series could be played, in its current form, with NES-style graphics (2d 8-bit sprites). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I misunderstood him then, I thought he meant affectively that "graphics make the game". Graphics, music and voiceacting enhance the game... but nothing more. And Resident Evil could be played NES style... for a good example... go find a copy of Sweet Home
