Blue takes patience and strategy. Control/Counter/Draw makes for a nasty 3way strategy.

I like Black for it's drain life and life stealing cards as well as it's card drawing ability. Mix in some decent blockers and some mana production cards and you can just eat your opponent... litterally

Then you really haven't grasped the game very well.

You'd be amazed how affective an all black monocolored deck is. It takes something very specialized to kill it.
