Going with what Lexx said is it possible to mod all the junk out of Big MT so that he has nothing to do?

Team Fortress 2? Portal 2?

Highly stylized, high profile role playing game.

August 2011 to present: [Redacted] ...how cryptic. -
Okay. Okay... Oh...kay.... Hmmm, I can't find a facebook page for Tim Cain beyond the public one that doesn't have any details beyond a minor biography. Is there really a source for the fact that he left Carbine? As for the MMO....that image doesn't inspire much confidence, but it's Tim Cain right? Has he let us down before?

I think according to the SA forums he's talking about how Alpha Protocol implemented the rng into the shooting mechanics poorly. EDIT: No wait, it's the fact that the reticule for the shotgun is ridiculously huge. This presentation looks really interesting- I do hope someone posts it on youtube like that Chris Avellone one.

Hmmm, so I guess it's unlikely then that the "Highly Stylised" game Obsidian is working on is IWD3?

I'm not sure if PS:T really requires spoiler tags anymore...
Best ending: You go to hell
Ah thanks for that. I'll probably still use spoiler tags for Torment since I have been surprisingly spoiler free for it myself. And, yep that's the ending I got. Good to know. Great game. Even though that's the best ending video and outcome, it still might not be the best ending. The best ending imo is when *snip* Yeah that's all the stuff I did and then it lead to that ending video. I actually ended up reloading a slightly older save file when

Finally finished Planescape Torment today. I think I got the "best" ending but I'm not sure. Dunno how to do spoiler tags so could someone who does tell me what is generally seen as the best ending for Torment so I know if I did it? Anyways, onto Max Payne 2- so many games in my backlog to finish.

Wait...is that the official fb page? Huh...how cryptic.

John Gonzales doesn't work at Obsidian anymore? I thought he was the guy who wrote the Survivalist's log in Honest Hearts.

Is DS3 out in Japan?

They could just be dumbing down their explanations so that people will understand it on some superficial level. I like how it looks but like others, I'm skeptical/indifferent until we get some actual games on it.

Huh, the always on internet drm barely registers compared to how uncomfortable Blizzard's official in game gold farming market makes me.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

To be fair, Bethesda doesn't actually have any intelligence. Why bother? It just affects magika and they can just directly raise their magika instead. -

I'm looking for my father. Middle-aged guy. Maybe you've seen him? -
Holy crap that concept art looks amazing. Also, I'm slow but does that weird indent on Jensen's forehead have the Sarif industries logo in it? Poor guy is walking product placement.

Apparently it's PC gamer UK that gave the high rating to DXHR and supposedly that's different to the PC gamer that scored DA2 and Crysis 2. I'm still very skeptical of a score like that though...especially with a comment as praiseworthy as "Puts every other game in the genre to shame" I mean geez that's a bit much. Either way, I'm still looking forward to this game what with all the praises the leak got from even the most cynical gamers. I just hope it won't be a disappointment like DA2 or (to a lesser extent) Witcher 2.

I want to get this game...but with Troika dead I'm not sure I want to give money to Activision.

On Topic: If Obsidian ever made a DS4 (and that's the only reason I'd care for a dungeon siege 4) I'd like to see a greater choice in character building (maybe instead of having a fixed set of skills that we will all eventually gain, we instead choose up to 3 skills per stance and can eventually max all of these out with a high enough level cap- the diversity then comes from the choice of skills and the way you upgrade them rather than just which ones you can upgrade enough). I'd also like that, instead of a choice in characters it's a choice in class (clockpunk mage vs Archon for females only vs gunslinger vs swordsman) so that this way the story can be tailored around this one character with maybe some flavour dialogue depending on the class they chose (As Reinhart I felt like my character had no plot relevance compared to other characters, Anjali seems like she's clearly the main character and this issue could be averted by just making it one person) Finally I'd like a more Obsidian style storyline with a more darker and deconstructive approach to the lore as opposed to the more traditional/generic approach to DS3. DS3 had some great moments but a sequel or expansion pack could really perfect that system...although tbh I'd rather see Obsidian taking that combat (the best part of DS3 imo, the combat and boss battles were great) into their own IP rather than get limited by Dungeon Siege lore.

They would just need to tone down the EXTREME!!! antics and the romantic fan service, and a better game would easily come out. Also, I'd welcome deeper roleplaying myself, both in systems and dialogue. The sad thing is that'd result in the game being poorly received by the general public. I mean, imo from a rpg perspective (or just any perspective personally) New Vegas blows Fallout 3 completely out of the water but then when I ask my friends and stuff or look around on many forum communities the consensus is that Fallout 3 is more "epic" and "extreme" and "awesome". Making a better SciFi RPG than Mass Effect wouldn't be difficult, that game doesn't have that good a story and it's shallow on the RPG side. But man, making a better game that's also a crowd pleaser would be heaps tough.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!

Is that true? If so, depressing. Say goodbye to interesting shooters. I dunno, Bioshock seems to be a fairly successful franchise, it's a pretty decent shooter even if it's ridiculously scripted. Deus Ex Human Revolution seems like it'll be successful too given the massive Squeenix marketing and the generally positive impressions to the leak. I'm actually surprised Bulletstorm was a bomb given the names behind it and the fairly juvenile attitude it had going. I guess multiplayer must be huge issue for gamers. I hope that doesn't result in more MP only focused games now though with SP getting the shaft.
