What the hell ? Mass effect is great,but it it isnt the best rpg ever,best rpg sure is kotor. KOTOR is in another league of Excellency. Are you realy serious of what you are saying? I've noticed that since Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2, and Dragon Age: Origins came out, we've lost a chunk of our previous elitism. It seems as though every board member (grugingly) liked one or more of those games.

It's all starting to come together now, the Mass Effect trilogy is, in fact, a prequel to WH40K. The big war ends in a draw, the Reapers retreat to a neighboring galaxy, mr. Man becomes the God-Emperor and all the planets are ugly hellholes. I didn't like the story or the extremely formulaic mission structure in ME2, but the writing was good, the combat decent and it provided some more awesome Shepard moments.

Well, aren't we condescending... Maybe try the codex? I didn't find him all that condescending. Actually, he reminds me of that one enthusiastic and non-jaded fellow the board managed to run off because he.. what was it? Did he suggest that we all make a our own fallout 3? Fix all that was wrong with KotOR II? Make our own RPG? Saying that it has "more roleplaying" because it is based on DnD is a bit elitist if you ask me.

Tain't that it failed to make money, but that its good name has been besmirched by sub-80 Metacritic scores, which as we all know, indicates a terrible horrible no good very bad game. The user score matches the critics' score. Plus a 7 is pretty bad when you're operating on a 7-9 point scale that game reviewers adopted a while ago. You sir, have been ETed. Perfect.
