I guess the writers wanted to show us that you can't change the future(maybe Desmond can). I also really like Daniel Faraday, he looks like a very complicated character.

Pardon my ignorance, but why is God of War so great? Isn't it just a beat em up with QTE boss battles? Sure it looks pretty, but it seems a little shallow.

Yes, but they leave some of their stuff behind in a "wreck". There's all kinds of cool stuff like non-standard weapons, drones, relatively expensive stuff(real market and all). The best part is that you can use most of the normal small-ship stuff right from the start if you get the required skills at char-gen.

I almost tried Eve a long time ago, but what stopped me was when I found out it wasn't a dogfighting space combat sim. I love dogfighting, in space or otherwise. But when I realized Eve wasn't twitch-based, my interest dropped dramatically. But if I read something wrong at some point, please feel free to correct me. No dogfighting, sorry. But are you going to play WoW for the amazing medieval combat simulation? Just saying that if you are going to hit up a bunch of MMO trials, don't miss EVE. It's actually pretty fun, for a while.

If you're on a MMO trial spree, I highly recommend trying the EVE trial as well(if you haven't already), it's pretty fun and no server choosing

I was going to buy that, but I never did because in the end I thought it would be to boring with just action. Now I am sad. Oh yeah, it's awesome. Yes, it's not all that serious, but kicking someone into a beam and then having a bunch of barrels fall on their head is pretty damn awesome. It also gives you a great feeling of your body, you see your arms and legs and when you climb for example your head moves appropriately. And you get to kill giant Cyclopses and Dragon-like things.

God of War is the only game I've ever known to actually have shots of the human breasts... (well AOC had that but it died faster than you can say smarf!). In all honestly I admit that had I been on the ESRB I'd probably have either slated it for AO or rebuilt the M and AO boundary line. I think that they should change the AO rating to X-rated like with movies. The new X-rated rating should be reserved to games that are clearly erotic in their nature(so basically porn games). Mature would remain and include everything that does not feature prominent intercourse. Of course that won't probably happen anytime soon. The gaming generation needs to grow older and shatter the prejudice against games. Also companies need to push the boundaries and make GOOD mature games to show what the medium is capable of.

Morgoth mentioned quickload, so I though we were talking about single player. Multiplayer is easy: when you die you respawn after a period of time or at the end of the round(CS), what's the big deal? "sweep and clear" Yeah, but if this keeps up and there will be no penalty for failure, then games themselves need to change, a lot. If Halo 7 will be just a shooting gallery with pretty graphics then they might just as well ship the game with two discs: Halo 7 - The Movie and Halo 7 - The Multiplayer.

But that is pretty much a given. AT least in terms of the difficulty of the combat. btw, its not dumbing down. it's streamlining. Which always reminds me of Full Metal Jacket: It is no longer "search and destroy"; it is "sweep and clear". lol. Sweep and clear it is then. I would actually like to know how they are going to improve the Alien gameplay. I totally loved the AvP 2 alien campaign. It was so refreshing to have no guns and start out as a facehugger and advance on from there. I loved climbing in vents and overhearing conversations(kinda like NOLF). I also loved the wallclimbing, but it was horribly disorienting and the little arrow didn't really help. Maybe they will get some hints from Mirror's Edge? About time something good came out of that.
