  1. The Flotilla is just a bunch of nomands with spaceships, i don't see why it's so interesting. I'm still waiting for new cool races that aren't just humans with prosthetics. I know there were some in the Citadel, but they were very minor characters.
  2. This is actually pretty old news from July, I think. It looks like it could be fun, but the Wii only thing kinda ruins it for me. Also, Warren Spector could be making something awesome instead, but apparently he's tired of "black trench coats"
  3. Sounds like WoW is serious business.
  4. They should have done an NOLF/Austin Powers-style spy RPG instead and made billions. Now I'm sad
  5. You can try the Demigod demo.
  6. Just because of this, I hope that Tali will be unmasked in ME2 in a similar fashion as Mileena in MK2. I'm sure she's just a hive mind comprised of tiny glowing bacteria.
  7. It's best thing since Torment in terms of story and characters
  8. Most of the American "games journalists" grew up playing the NES and most of them haven't played any of the IE games if they have actually heard of them. There's a reason why there are special PC gaming sites/blogs like RockPaperShotgun and PCGamer. That's the "lost generation" that plays weird flash games that no one over 15 has even heard of.
  9. You sank their battleship And got away with the booty, I presume?
  10. So you broke it and left?
  11. Oh. I guess it varies by state and whatnot then. The Gamestops in Seattle were practically PC game-less, but that's my only actual experience. I have heard it time and again that Gamestops don't really have many PC games anymore because they can't really be resold etc.
  12. Interesting. There seem to be conflicting stories here, though.
  13. Unless you have some huge IP, those months are pretty much dead. Which is why even a relatively unknown game like Red Faction: Guerrilla managed to exceed expectations and keep people talking about it for a whole month.
  14. A crossbow would be much handier in tight quarters. I can see it being useful to snipe the mage(s) in a fantasy setting.
  15. I was talking about the American ones. There's lots of PC games in most non-American game stores.
  16. I've shot a bow, don't remember if it was a real longbow or not, though. Pretty fun.
  17. There's mana? Didn't know that. Can you map potions to hotkeys and chug them as you release endless volleys of fireballs?
  18. I guess having something logical like optional overlay icons was too hard to do...
  19. It couldn't hurt.
  20. Did they actually have small units back then? Shouldn't they have set fire to stuff and spoil the food/water supplies? I'm pretty sure they didn't have 6-man squads back then.
  21. Crossbows actually penetrated armor and didn't need years of training, that's why they became the norm.
  22. I actually think the Dig had a lot of potential for a dark ending, but they really Disneyfied it. It's still a nice game though.
  23. [quote name='H
  24. That sound like more work
  25. It's a problem of escalation, they need the giant arrows to get through the oversized armor.
