My old Radeon 1950 pro died like this as well. I cleaned and reseated the fan, but it still crapped out when the doing more graphic-intensive things. Just get a new one, they're cheap and really good at the moment.

It's not open world like GTA where you can go everywhere, but there are certainly open areas with multiple objectives that you can tackle in whatever order and using the method of your choice.

So yeah, this is coming out on the 19th in USA and on the 22th in Europe for PS360 and PC. It's got this cool Rocketeer thing going on and it's from the guys who made Crimson Skies. Basically you're a guy with a jetpack in an open world setting and occasionally you fly various aircraft Crimson Skies style. It's kind of consol-y, but might still be pretty fun. I guess the Giant Bomb quicklook gives the best overview of all the different aspects of the game.
