  1. Hey, maybe they could reinvigorate the whole genre? I would love a satirical JRPG made by a western developer, containing all the common JRPG tropes, but also having a serious message. Hmm, kind of like Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden... Or maybe a JRPG made in western RPG style to really bring out the differences? Seriously, we need more self-referential games that aren't totally ridiculous like Matt Hazard, but more like NOLF. Way too many games take themselves too seriously these days.
  2. I think you have to book them like 6 months in advance, they're in high demand.
  3. Is that the new trend? To be honest, I thought we were in the 'bash MW2' stage, but perhaps we've moved on with the recent FF release. Isn't it almost 'bash ME2' time though? It's been a couple months since release. MMOs are always in fashion, kind of like black. MW2 was a great game with a stupid story and ME2 was pretty good all around. JRPGs and MMOs possess copious amounts of inherit bash-ability. @Morgoth: Becoming?
  4. But you're better than those dirty JRPG players, right?
  5. Not defending the game here, but saying that Gametrailers' comments are from the average gamer is like saying that youtube's comments are from the average person. That's just not true. It's the "hardcore" console crowd, the "average gamer" doesn't go online to comment on random GDC gameplay videos. EDIT: Some of the animations are pretty bad and getting stuck on geometry is not the best way to show off your game.
  6. Hey, when you've hit rock bottom you can only go up, right?
  7. The only real way to play it is on the Microsoft Surface
  8. That and they're not really into the whole anime thing AFAIK.
  9. Also there's this awesome theory.
  10. I don't think they do requests.
  11. And then you could use one of those crazy wi-fi remotes to control it. No need for stupid IR remote codes.
  12. You can always rip CDs and make FLACs out of them...
  13. Who uses CDs anyway? Just hook your computer/music player up to that and remote control that.
  14. I really hope you will find the strength to carry on with your life after this tragedy. Many wouldn't, but you're special, AngryKidJoe, damn it you're special!
  15. No, every JRPG developer has been waiting for FF13, so they could copy whatever innovation from there and thus launch the next wave of JRPGs, but FF13 has been in the making for so long that the model has broken down somewhat.
  16. Uwe is just the poor man's Michael Bay. Final Fantasy, on the other hand, is supposed to be the single driving force of innovation in the stale pond that is the JRPG genre.
  17. Even if they have, I highly doubt that they have the same model receiver and cd player. Keep googling.
  18. Valve can actually makes sequels that improve on the original, but they are an exception in the vast sea of crappy sequels. Oh and I'm not really into that modern spy thing either.
  19. List Wars IX: The Electric Boogaloo

New is up. Looks like things get pretty plotty.
  21. Yay, my theory on the last page was at least partially right. Submarines 50m off the coast aside, this was a pretty good episode. Ben redeemed himself in the flash sideways, Jack grew a pair and Ilana forgave Ben. I guess Jin will join up with them and we'll have our two "teams". Oh and the reunion at the end was really nice.
  22. Who said it was a "must-buy"? Re-check your sources, man.
