It never ceases to amaze me what people will complain about, its almost like some people need to complain about an aspect of a game or they feel they lack identity . Lets take this concept of a Mega Dungeon. Most of us have been really excited about the idea. I have never seen a Mega dungeon implemented in a RPG in my life in such a grand way with so many levels. We don't know much about it as its early days so how can we complain about what it " might or might not have". What we know is that this is a unique and exciting part of the game that is being only developed and expanded due to the number of people supporting PE. How can anyone not be excited by the concept? Any negativity truly stupefies me I like you Krezack and I respect your opinions on the Way Off Topic section but this type criticism is just making you look silly and petulant

Most women are cold and self serving. Why should I care about an issue(abortion), which for the most part is a result of their irresponsibility? I can't even understand why a man would make this his number one priority unless he's grasping at straws and has little else to vote on. I hear what you are saying, but the issue is there are many people who do believe that the American legal system is exactly the same as it was under Bush. You honestly hear an aargument for example, that Julian Assange will be ttortured and executed in the USA. Some people are saying the same about Mckinnon. They still justify there objection to extradition based on how a person "wwould be inhumanely treated in the USA"

Yet we need to ask "are they slip ups " or are they really what a candidate thinks but knows how socially unacceptable his views would be? I believe the latter. I remember watching Romney describe how concerned he was that he couldn't find "qualified women for some campaign or university and how hard he looked so that not just men were represented" .It just seemed false and something he knew he had to say. Its like the "47%" gaff, I believe he believes that. You could even argue that from an economic perspective he is right, but a President is more than just numbers and hard facts. Okay thanks, but 28% is still a huge difference for the same job. Is this something that is known about and accepted or is this behavior that is actually illegal? It isn't something that is easy to enforce legally. You aren't just dealing with one company that pays men more than women. It gets even messier when dealing with bonuses and such, so a base salary may be equal, but many executives pull in more on bonuses than anything else. Okay, I see the difficulty in actually enforcing it. Its not as clear as just a salary but the difference can be in the structures in the overall remuneration a person receives .

Obama was much better this time and the polls indicate that he was ahead of Romney in this debate. So I am happy as these types of events obviously do matter to the voting public in the USA

No one on the Romance/Sex group is suggesting anything even remotely like this, you could try to contribute constructively to this debate instead of making absurd suggestions in an attempt to derail this thread. Most people want Romance\Sex implemented in a way that is mature and similar to BG. I still have to be convinced why this is incompatible with a good RPG experience?

God, romances should be included when they are appropriate, not as an arithmetic function. People are suggesting that if you include Romances there would be "far too many combinations" I am merely saying that only 4 combinations should be needed to keep almost all people happy.

Just a tip; your arguments and opinions will probably be better received if you at least attempt to explain and justify them rather than just stating them and telling people to accept them. With such attitude, dear friend, I recommend you to logout from this forum and delete your account. After all, it's their game, and you shouldn't discuss it. Regarding topic. I want romances. But I'm against 'DA' style romances. All NPCs should have prereqs to be romanceable! And they should be hard as stone. No more 'I will love you no matter if you are male or female or elf of dwarf'. I didn't say we shouldn't discuss the game and give ideas but I've seen so many messages in these forums where people are basicly demanding that devs do what they want. By large fans don't know what they want and if they give to everyone's demands the game will be a mess. We can give them ideas, our opionions and feedback, but that should be it. The devs knows much better than any of the fans what the game needs and how it should be done. I don't know why this is so complicated to understand? Let's see... straight romances male -> female, female -> male, gay romances male -> male and female -> female so that's four companions out of the eight unless you want two companions both bi-sexual but then people would complain and demand that they want unique romances for all of those possibilities. I do think a suggestion that the USA doesn't respect human rights is an egregious and gross exaggeration. We know that there have been incidents since 9\11 that include waterboarding as a technique to gain information certain prisoners, related to the War on Terror, being interrogated in countries that use totorture Cases where the human rights of prisoners were abused, Abu Ghraib comes to mind But these exceptions were always condemned when exposed. This wasn't the official USA policy even though some departments in the USA did know about it. In times of war all countries do things that are questionable. It is not accurate to say now that the USA doesn't respect human rights or to suggest that someone like Gary Mckinnon human rights would be automatically abused.

I agree, there should relationships but also the option for people to have gay relationships if a person wants to. The principle of relationships should be as inclusive as possible ( and no that doesn't mean I want relationships with animals and children, I seem to hear this annoying point from some who are opposed to gay relationships and are just being sarcastic and making fatuous arguments )

I am interested in why you feel your order should get any recognition above anyone else who has contributed financially towards PE? I am not being funny, I am genuinely curious. There are many people who are not part of your order that have paid good money towards KS Are ardent fans and believe in PE Promote the game on all forums they can So what makes you guys special? Exactly how does the order broadly being recognized in game effect anyone that has donated? It is not specifically mentioning those who donated names (unless the idea, which I believe to be a bad one, of recognizing a specific member as the op suggests is adopted). It is no more than a fun easter egg/ shout out to a group of fans who banded together to support the game, a large group of fans at that. Self entitlement sucks. It is not rewarding specific individuals more than others, it is a general shout out to fans of the game, honoring them in general. As long as they keep it subtle and make it fit in with the rest of the lore, there is nothing but good that will come from the recognition. I fail to see your point in all of this, as long as individuals are not mentioned. Collectively the order has donated well over $1,000 in additional pledges, which is the point where you get a say in lore. There is nothing disproportional about this, nor would there be even if that not the case, as again with no specific names given it would be nothing more than a fun easter egg benefiting no one in particular. I am a little confused. Isn't this whole post about recognizing one particular member? I am opposed to that, and if I understand your post correctly so are you. So there is no disagreement here

Most of us do, there was a good poll that showed that most people wanted an element of Romance\Sex in the game. But there is a small and vociferous group that jump on every Romance discussion and say things like " No Romance, an RPG is not about Romance" and aarguments start and the thread gets closed. Now I am not going to say who is right or wrong, I support Romance/Sex, but I will not presume to tell you what defines your RPG experience by telling you " what an RPG is". This would be hubris, and who likes to be told they are arrogant?
