  1. That's called free market - everything is worth what its purchaser will pay for it. Before Russia had lower gas prices for Ukraine because Ukraine showed some cooperation. Why should they provide same price cuts now? Check how much other EU countries are paying for gas. Want to be in EU - be prepared to pay just as everyone else. But the question should be " why is Russia pushing up its price now that Ukraine is looking to align to the EU" ? Obviously this is some sort of punitive measure. This is just going to harm Ukraine's economic recovery and seems childish and contradictory to wanting regional stability? Also how does this help Russia in winning over the hearts and minds of the Ukrainians?
  2. I concur about anchovies, its amazing how many people say " no I don't eat anchovies, I don't like the taste". But when you mix anchovies into a certain recipes like Caesar salad you won't even notice the difference...anchovies just taste like salty goodness
  3. Well I just see this as bad business sense that the Ukrainian energy company, Naftogaz, sells gas at less than the price in buys from Russia. We should be supporting the fact that the IMF is encouraging Ukraine to demonstrate more fiscal prudence I'm much more concerned that Russia is using, again, bullying tactics to influence Ukraine to be aligned to them by increasing the price they pay for gas from Russia http://dailyenergydump.com/2014/04/01/russia-tightens-energy-screws-angers-ukraine/
  4. I played IWD for the first time about 6 months ago and there is a major difference between it and games like BG2 ( I haven't played BG1 yet) and thats the lack of interesting party interaction. Its not just the fact that there was no Romance but rather the fact that your party members are like cardboard caricatures, there was no depth and very little affinity I felt for my party members I liked IWD but I really feel if a modern day RPG doesn't allow some kind of party interaction then it will be missing something that will appeal to most gamers around what they expect from an RPG experience
  5. What I really admire about Obsidian and people like Josh is the immense patience they seem to have to answer the same questions to different gaming journalists over and over again. So in the interview video you have to wonder how many times he has been asked " so how would you describe PoE"? And he always seems like he is genuinely interested in describing the game and its features....again and again Oh and I'm glad the interviewer asked about Romance or rather why there won't be any in PoE....let the awareness never end
  6. that shows some serious commitment to the Star Wars franchise, I like it
  7. I don't get the prudish tone, they talk about sex games as if they are meant to be taboo or just for nerds who live on their mother's basements. You think that after the pornography industry coming out of the shadows and the common knowledge that everyone with an internet connection has likely watched porn, they would have a more accepting view. Also, Live and let live and whatnot; dagnabit femanizi game journos. Are you guys thinking what I'm thinking....enhanced Romance options in RPG
  8. I saw this yesterday and I think it looks like its got real potential, I also like Ragnar Tørnquist so that only helps anything he is involved in
  9. That was really good, I didn't expect the ending
  10. For example, if Russia or China or other country would openly support some rebel group at the country bordering your own and openly hostile to your country, what would be your reaction? How would you call it? You have asked some good questions around China and Russia, but its just not a realistic question. Russia and China never send troops to assist in any foreign affair or on any humanitarian mission unless it benefits them directly. For example they didn't care about the Bosnian War or the various ongoing military missions in Africa, like CAR at the moment. Its always Western countries who send troops and provide military assistance for UN sponsored military missions Now I'm not saying all Western military interventions are altruistic but at least the West does intervene on humanitarian grounds at times. But to answer your question I would be very angry and concerned if Russia or China did what you mentioned. And they already did this throughout Africa during the Cold War when it was about the spread of Communism. But where are you seeing something similar to this in what we are discussing with the various modern conflict areas, I am missing the analogy?
  11. No Malc you are missing some facts and the reality of the situation in Syria. There was a time in the beginning of the Syrian conflict where the Syrian rebels wanted the West to destroy Assads air-forcee and military hardware like his tanks. They were prepared to do the ground fighting. There weren't the degree of Islamic extremists involved in the Syrian rebels in the beginning. This is exactly what the Libyan rebels asked for and this is exactly how the West intervened and assisted with regime change. At the moment the situation in Syria is as follows hundreds of thousands of Syrians killed millions of Syrians are refugees vast parts of the infrastructure of Syria has been destroyed and areas of major Syrian cities have been raised to the ground Islamic extremists, Al-Qaeda, are now active in Syria Certan neighbors to Syria have parts of there country destabilized due to various factions involved in Syria, like Lebanon Yes we can't predict the future but I don't see how you can possibly argue that Western intervention in the beginning of the Syrian conflict could have had any worse result than the current situation...especially when we look at Libya today
  12. Quite interesting logic here. At some point of time some people believed cleansing certain regions from certain ethnicities are "what is best for the region". Anyway, looking at how everything turned out for Iraq, Lybia, Syria and Egypt I kinda think someone asking wrong people about "what is best for the region". Actually you have unintentionally supported my view about the right way the West can implement regime change. You mentioned some examples, Libya is the correct way to implement regime change and Syria is the result of where the West is prevented from getting involved by the vetoing power of Russia and China So lets look at the state of Syria and Libya now and ask yourself what country is better off? Yes things aren't perfect in Libya but its no where near the catastrophic level of economic and social collapse that Syria is at.... So once again I do support the principle of Western intervention to assist with regime change in some cases.
  13. So I'm about 8 hours into F.E.A.R and its a great game, I am very impressed with the AI. I'm not use to enemies coming behind me or circling around and finding other positions to attack me from. And the narrative is captivating so good game so far
  14. Good choice, Melk and GhostofAnakin gave me some good tips when I first played AP last year . Its a very entertaining game
  15. Its the fact that you continue to make these biased and unsubstantiated claims about the West and NATO that forces me to get involved in most discussions, so you better just get use to it because I'm not going anywhere
  16. Bruce why must you always spout nonsense? What do you know about Milosevic? Why was he bad? After his fall, the next regime robed my country blind, they privatized all the national equities and funneled all the money out of the country, not to mention the debt my country has now. They got rid of him because he wasn't doing what Clinton and Blair asked from him and after the war his regime was sufficiently weakened to be forcefully toppled. He was not bad for this country, though he was bad for the interests of the west. "Its a question of " what is best for the region" and " what is the current regime in a particular country doing with its power, is it benefiting its citizens"" Like in Iraq and Egypt and Syria? I won't even mention the CIA trained death squads that exist to keep countries destabilized. I swear dude, you just keep putting your foot in your mouth. Sorry Sarex but its irrelevant how many times you say things like " Serbia was the victim in the Bosnian war " and "Milosevic was a great and benevolent ruler " the facts don't change. We are not going to rehash again the rise and fall of Milosevic or NATO involvement in the Bosnian war. You have explained your view and I'm not going to try to change it, all you need to know and realize is that there are many people who support what NATO did in the Bosnian war and think there involvement was justified in bringing Milosevic to the Hague to face criminal charges So you won't get much sympathy when you try to compare what happened in Ukraine to the "unfair treatment of Milosevic"
  17. Sure but we know regime change is sometimes necessary, like in the case of Milosevic. Its a question of " what is best for the region" and " what is the current regime in a particular country doing with its power, is it benefiting its citizens" Of course sometimes we can't always effect regime change, but thats the political reality we live in.
  18. By an excess of cheese I mean the physical amount of cheese on the pizza, not amount of different cheeses used (I don't count cheese as toppings either). I make pizzas with multiple cheese varieties all the time, but I never go overboard with the total volume of cheese on the pizza. Yes it is possible to make pizza with 4 or more toppings that is delicious, my point is that the combinations are few and far between. There are tons of two topping combinations that work really well, a moderate amount of 3 topping combinations that work really well, and a very small amount of 4 or more topping combinations that work really well. The point is that beyond a certain amount of toppings you are a lot more likely to ruin your pizza than make it better by contintouing to add more toppings. I misunderstood your aversion to cheese and I agree that too many ingredients can sometimes neutralize other ingredients or ruin the pizza so one needs to be thoughtful around what you use as toppings
  19. Please keep us updated around your views
  20. When I tried to replay it I ran into a gamestopping bug with an elevator again and again. And said bug will never be fixed because of EA. Pity because I really like the game. Its funny because I played Alice on PC and had no issues. I should have used a Controller but I used M\KB and that did take a bit of time to become accustomed to but once I learnt that the controls were no problem. And it is a very entertaining game
  21. No one is forcing you to use a red sauce. I've eaten many a pizza with either a white sauce or a pesto sauce. With that said, I'm assuming Bruce's pizza had red sauce. I would use red sauce with banana and bacon and ham myself, I would just go very light on the sauce as the acidity of the red sauce might clash with the sweetness of the banana a bit. Yes I used the standard red Pizza base. You guys have raised some good points around what ingredients work but the issue is much more complex and varied than just your personal taste, we should realize we can always challenge our palates by experimenting with different types of ingredients on Pizza. You will be surprised what new taste sensations you'll experience @ Keyrock Just one example why your views on Pizza need to be reexamined, there is a standard Pizza in Italy called Quattro Formaggi, this has 4 different types of cheese and it really is delicious. The question with Pizza should always be "do the ingredients work together " and not " you can't have x number of ingredients " http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/type-of-dish/italian/pizza/quattro-formaggi-four-cheese-pizza.html
  22. One of my girlfriends came to stay with me last night while on route to a wedding, we ended up going out and I bought the following designer pizza while drunk...I think I over did it a little Double Mozzarella Extra Cheddar and Picorino cheese Bacon Parma Ham Anchoives Bannana Mushrooms Garlic
  23. By the way, lol @Israel for not bothering to give their "ally" the US their support on this matter. I don't buy this theory that Jews control America and everything that Israel does American supports, the situation is much more nuanced. The Jewish lobbyists have influence in America as do all lobby groups but I would argue the influence that Israel has is exaggerated.
  24. There is something fundamentally wrong with society when Keyrock doesn't have an interest in playing games .....I am worried...is this the end of days
  25. China doesn't care Bruce. Neither does Russia. And this vote does not indicate much of anything of the Chinese - Russian relationship, which has been lukewarm standoffish for the better part of a hundred years now. Just like Israel not voting at all to support it's #1 ally's wishes doesn't mean all that much. Really, about the only people who do care are the people buying into all the propaganda, or who live in Ukraine and are somehow butthurt Crimea left, or who live in Crimea and would prefer to live in Ukraine vs. Russia. Of course, the former far out numbers the latter, and the latter actually has a legitimate reason to care, unlike the former. Russia has Crimea no matter what anyone votes, end of story. If you were at all even partially well versed in history you'd realize they probably never should have lost Crimea to Ukraine to begin with. Okay my friend, lets see the economic reality for Russia in 12 months. Then we can comment on how prudent the decision to illegally annex Crimea was
