For me its no issue whatsoever if certain members on RPGCodex don't like these forums. I don't frequent that website because many members across as RPG elitists and they don't moderate or seem to care about bigotry or offensive comments around many social issues. Any website where people are allowed to make jokes about rape, for example, I have no time for

Volo I've mentioned this to you before but the main issue some people have with your comments is that at times you make controversial but short, or monosyllable, posts and then don't engage in debate around what you think. But I have noticed a real effort on your part lately to explain what you mean. So keep up the more informative explanations I know you don't like being referred to as a Troll ( who does I know it annoys me when people say I'm a troll ) and your opinion is valid even if people don't agree. But you will get more people taking you seriously if you continue to engage in proper debating etiquette

Zora my advice is before you post any links see if you can substantiate what you think from maybe 3 or 4 other websites. The issue I have is generally you guys posts links and the source is RT....which we know is biased. This goes towards the credibility of what you guys generally tell us about Ukraine. If you follow the 3-4 other website check rule you won't post as much misinformation

Oh my hat, this event was amazing. We setup a camp on blankets and tried some excellent food and good wine. I am normally not a big wine drinker but I think I have changed my perspective. All my friends are into there wine and when I was drinking quality wine I could taste the difference in the various flavours. The secret to eating at events like this is not to eat too many large portions of food from the various stalls, so what you do is you share the food. That way you get to sample a larger variety. We ate oysters, springbok( a type of venison) spring rolls, pickled fish, duck pate, cheese platters, roasted rabbit and many other yummy treats. I also bought some imported French Camembert cheese which I'll treat myself and eat later. What a good event and I'll definitely be at the next one

Walsie is 100 % correct around the actions of the Ukrainian government. They already let a junk of there country get annexed by Russia in the Crimea. There is no, and I'll repeat that...NO, country in the world that will allow parts of its sovereign state to get broken away. They were very patient with the pro-Russian separatists but now the whatever happens in a consequence of there intransigence Its absurd that some people on these forums think the Ukrainian government is being unreasonable. The correct action would have been to vacate all buildings they were occupying and wait for the election before they decided they weren't going to be part of greater Ukraine

I've said this before and I'll say it again, the graphics look very good. I am really keen to see how Frostbite delivers the overall aesthetic experience

The thing is I do eat brain, I have eaten sheep and calf brain. Obviously when its served it looks nothing like a brain. I've had it sliced thin and with a good sauce like a Sage sauce

You kidding me about not eating Octopus before? You are such an adventurous eater I would have thought your folks would have had you munching on a nice octopus tentacle when you were "knee high to a grasshopper" ? But I assume you have eaten calamari before which is squid and from the same family as octopus...so the tastes are very similar

If I really wanted to watch biased, untrue, anti-western videos I would just watch one of the many declarations of war by one of the various Al-Qaeda associated groups that are common on the Internet if you want to find them

Some good news, UK and USA advisors are being sent to Nigeria to assist. They say these aren't military personnel but I'm sure they are special force soldiers from both countries http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/05/06/us-team-nigeria-kidnapping_n_5274484.html http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-27316182 -
Dude, you're arguing with a bot. oby is not a human, he's a very intricate mechanical device designed to string together randomly selected images and sentences and post them on forums. It literally can't think in a different way, no matter how much facts you present. That said, the invention of such an artificial construct is a milestone in AI research. Shame Russian Ministry of Information Considered Very Important Abroad and Forum Spamming wastes it on such trivial pursuits. "a bot "

It isn't irrelevant, because citing such examples as Mr Vice is meant to establish moral clarity on the issue- look how these guys treat the free press with disdain! But if others, supposedly more free, are doing much the same then there is no moral clarity, and people should be as outraged or more so than if a bunch of random armed blokes detain someone for three days. You can make anything look bad (or good, for that matter) by tailoring the terms of reference to exclude stuff you don't like and which contradicts your views, indeed it is a particular favourite technique of politicians looking to get the result they want from 'independent' panels. Seeking to redefine everything to a particularly narrow interpretation where (in some cases) even things happening inside Ukraine within the past few months or years are labelled 'irrelevant' or 'deflection' is utterly feeble and no substitute for a proper response. To illustrate why this is utterly feeble argumentation I will declare that everything that is not about Right Sector burning 40 people alive in Odessa as 'deflection' from the True Issue. After all, 40 people dying is far more important than some poor baby being locked up without his iphone for a few days. Ah, I can feel the warm glow of victory on the internet washing over me... Zora I want to ask you a few direct questions. I am not going to presume to know the answer so I would like you to tell me how you feel What is your main issue with how the West operates? Do you have an issue with the politics of how Western countries are governed, do you think they are fundamentally corrupt? I am asking for a paragraph or 2 around how you see the West and there influence on the world. I am not judging you, I want to understand where you come from

Not what he said in the slightest. Despite, he has professed his like of Twilight and regards it as a great work (which is fine) but it does cast some doubt on his taste as a writer. But I always say everyone gets to have one, a particular thing that they like that's of low quality. If he started it comparing it to Shakespeare I would be more nervous though...although Shakespeare really was just the Michael Bay of his time. But Orog he didn't say that about Twilight. He said it is an effective medium for telling a Romance story. This is very different from saying Twilight is a good work of literature http://dgaider.tumblr.com/post/58252412297/on-my-so-called-love-of-twilight

So you're okay with the state tossing people into jail for hurting people's feelings ? To be honest I don't think anyone has actually been jailed in South Africa for offensive comments but people have definitely been fired. We do take it seriously but funny enough the UK has prosecuted more people with real jail time. I think the consideration around jail time depends on what you say? But you are supportive of prosecutions of people for "offensive" and derogatory comments. Alrighty. I meant to comment earlier on this but I got side tracked. I don't think you should necessarily go to jail for offensive comments but it does depend on the circumstances. For example in the South African context we still have issues of racism. This is an example that really happened. About 18 months ago a black women took her two kids to a rugby game. At the end of the game when she was leaving a group of drunken white men surrounded her when she was leaving and started verbally insulting her in front of her children. They threw beer at her and used several racist slurs. But they didn't actually hurt her but they utterly humiliated her and her children and they were all understandably distraught and in tears Now why should be people like that not go to jail? What rights do they deserve? So.... You're saying South Africa has the same issues as the United States? Where we have a case on the books about ensuring that even the KKK gets the free right to hold a rally in the middle of a Jewish neighborhood in Illinois? You see in the South African context you could probably try to arrange something like that but you need to apply for the right to protest or march. And the courts would prudently deny that type of rally as it would be considered provocative -
Nep when do we ever stick to the topic at hand all the time

That's true, the Russians had 60K troops on the Ukrainian border and I would argue the Russian troops are more battle hardened

I still don't get it. So you are male? I wonder why MC said female. I was under the impression you guys voicechat during CoH games. does it matter? we likes to picture all of you naked... but naked and looking like monica bellucci, grace kelly, bettie page, etc. is amazing how much more interesting reading a vol posts is as long as we can hold onto such images. one o' the positives o' the internet is that it frequent don't matter if you is rich, poor, ugly, beautiful or... whatever. say something worthwhile and people will listen. am not saying that is always the case, but it is nice that we can post and not have to get special treatment just 'cause we is beautiful-- our stunning good looks being a bit of a curse. HA! Good Fun! Gromnir I know I'm not wrong around your sex, you are a female right? -
