  1. KP this is an unhelpful comment, no one is suggesting anything even remotely similar to what you are saying. Radical Feminists do, in fact a pillar of their ideology is that women should govern men. On-Topic because the Rad-Fems are part of the current state of feminism. But why would you focus on the negative or radical element of a particular movement? There is a reason we call them radical. I would imagine most people prefer to align with the more reasonable groups in an organisation?
  2. I would be surprised if these offensive and stupid death scene clips would ever be seen as a positive marketing approach for any company? Can you imagine Microsoft " hey guys, play the new Xbox 1...you get to sodomize your opponents in there death throes "
  3. I'm talking about the average. I really did not think I would have to say it. The strongest and fastest of women never were and never will be (unless we evolve somehow) as strong or as fast as the strongest and fastest of men. On average this will always show. No they are not. Equal food and equal work will produce a stronger male. This is a scientific fact unless you are going to tell me women in the past had the same amounts of testosterone as men. If what you say were true women and men could compete in physical sports without the division. But they can't. I can send you some sources, but they are in Danish. Please translate these sources to English and then share them with us, don't be lazy
  4. Yes I'm seeing her this week after work for drinks. The Nerf ammo was very well received and appreciated. But its too early for predictions on how things will work out
  5. I started playing Jade Empire this weekend and I'm loving it. This type of game just reinforces why RPG are my favourite genre, I like the choices and the excitement around exploration of a foreign world. And Jade Empire isn't even a open world RPG which is generally my real preference. Plus its exciting the subtle insinuations at Romance that I'm slowly building with my party members. Oh and I'm enjoying the combat, I like the martial arts aspect of the game
  6. Personally this ban of foreign food no cause effect to me. I prefer fresh food (meat, fish, milk, fruits etc) - this is meant i buy food only from local manufacturers. But anyway China and South America fully replace European import on our food marked, if someone prefer foreign food instead. Sorry Europe, but your expectations about starving Russians is fantasy. We actually don't notice nor sanctions, nor war in Ukraine (except huge amount of Ukrainian refugees everywhere), just continue our pastoral life. I even disappointed because i do want falling of Ruble for some Euro speculations but EU and US performance too ****ty for it. Inflation is not higger than in peace time anyway. Meanwhile for European farmers this ban is quite painful ( their business is not too profitable even without sanctions ) and mainstream media just pacify them by such cool stories about suffered Russians. Yes my friend but the facts are you can only get certain types of food from places like Europe. For example Parma Ham, Parmesan and Gorgonzola cheese and certain wines. You cannot replace this with substitutes from places like China because the reason for example Gorgonzola cheese tastes like it does is because of the unique mold that cultivates in the area in Italy where this cheese comes from So Russia is now denying itself arguably the best food in the world
  7. Don't be a hater Shady, take a look at some of these burgers http://m.cheeseandburger.com/#/America
  8. The studies showed when people are under peril, they're more likely seeking for intimate relationships, although the attraction may originate from primal instincts. Therefore, I think it relates to the whether romance/intimate relationship within a dark and gritty setting is realistic or not debate. Oh that's very clever. So then it supports my view that in a RPG where your characters would be facing death on a daily basis Romance is more likely to flourish? Not romance... casual sex is a more accurate description. Sex is a good way to forget about difficult things and pumps up a lot of substances into your brain. But it's not a romance... Sure I hear you, but realistically in my RPG if I can have sex with someone then I will be dating them as well. So Romance means a relationship for me

  10. Nah, DA2 is still fun. You just mustn't be too critical around certain features, like the reused dungeons. But DA2 does have nice Romance options which always helps Nice romance?!? You mean slutty pirate with boobs that defy gravity, a virgin elf girl next door, a troubled bisexual mage that will be angry with you if you refuse his advances, and don't forget the mysterious elven warrior with a painful and troubled past, includes white anime hair and cool tatoos. Please, the characters are all fantasy tropes and stereotypes taken to the extreme. And the scenes aren't any good either, just cut to black. DA2 is fun if you take it for what it is: A BIg Joke, because that's exactly what it is, if you ignore the plot, laugh at the extreme characters and get through the sluggish combat system you might get SOME enjoyment from it, but I don't understand why you would do something like that to yourself unless you are a masochist. But damn you can't deny the fact that Isabella is smoking hot, remember those pirate boots

  13. Wow....but I'm wearing my tinfoil hat...surly I won't be effected?
  14. Can you explain how your post is relevant to Romance that may or may not develop in a party on an RPG adventure to save the world or at least the land they are on from an ancient creature or demi-god or any other end boss in your typical RPG? I am completely missing the relevance of your post to the discussion, sorry Unless its not suppose to be relevant
  15. People used to pirate games more in the past which equals free games. The amount of games I buy now in comparasion to the amount of games I bought when i was growing up, has changed drastically. If you give a quick look to the games of the 1990.. or early 2000.. i am sure that you will have troubles finishing any of them. Video games have become better over time and we have also have become harder to please due to our search for new experiences. Volo, you need to understand that we just arrived at the age when we have too much stuff going on to dedicate ourselves to virtual toils and wanderings. Its new to us. I am still surprised by the number of people who for a variety of reasons just don't finish the games they purchase I was under the mistaken impression that generally most people finish the games they play. Let it not be said these forums aren't source of information On the subject at hand, the more time pass the more my experience with divinity original sin becomes negative. Unless you have a committed friend to play this game with, I strongly recommend to stay away from it. Its a very bad single player game, which is why so many didn't finish it yet. I haven't played this game yet so I don't know much about it, why do you suggest needing a committed friend?
  16. Interesting read but I have to question the technical accuracy of what they are saying happens. For example lets take GTAV, are the videos they posted the single player game which I can understand how that happens as a Mod could do that but in the Online version of GTAV you connect to servers controlled by Rockstar so is the video saying that Modders somehow change the software code on the online servers and allow those violent and crude death scenes? I'm not sure a Mod could do that to change the online experience for all players playing a network game of GTAV?
  17. Oh one thing I will add is I haven't ever played IWD2 so it that gets an EE then I will purchase it
  18. I agree, I am surprised by some of the choices
  19. I don't agree that Romance implemented under the circumstances you mentioned wouldn't be realistic. In fact its exactly the emotional response you would expect Let me explain further, lets say the party has survived this epic battle against untold evil and diabolical beasts. Death was possible...even likely but somehow they survived. They would return to the Inn and reflect on the battle and how fortunate they are to be alive. Alcohol would be flowing and various emotional bonds and personal connections would be reinforced. Now two of the party members also happen to be attracted to each, why wouldn't they retire to the room together? Historically we know that suffering leads to many people using sex as a form of succour. There is this view that today could be your last day so why wouldn't you pursue a Romantic interest? So in summary Romance in any typical RPG journey and adventure is not only likely its realistic

  21. http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/08/30/the-pc-gamer-top-100/ So another list of 100 best PC games of all time but from the very credible PC Gamer Not a bad list but I question there number 1 game
  22. What I always find hilarious is where someone doesn't know Volo and they think they are going to have serous debate with him for the first time, then you throw in the fact that English isn't everyone's first language and you have a recipe for some very funny exchanges
  23. For me IWD highlights everything wrong with a game where you don't have meaningful party interaction, like being able to talk to your party members or Romance Its an entertaining game and fun but you notice the fact that your party members are just paper dolls and lack any substance. You never build a connection with them and for me I only cared if they lived and died because they assisted in combat
  24. You have no clue what you are talking about Bruce. Geez sorry for making a suggestion, I'll just keep quiet and not say anything next time
  25. OH MAN 1) I'm assuming you're Russian. With all due respect, I know dozens of russians both as friends and through work (teaching english) and yet I know NOTHING of your politics. Why? Because I've yet to find a russian active in politics who actually pays attention. I'm highly curious when it comes to cultures and always ask these types of questions, but every Russian responds to questions about politics with "I don't pay attention cause it's all rigged and doesn't matter," "Putin's ok I guess" or "Putin is hot" from the younger women. Please, by no means is the west perfect or innocent of lying itself, but I have a very hard time hearing such a bold claim from a russian when - in my experience - it seems glaringly obvious the fox is guarding the hen house over there and half the population is none the wiser. I would love to hear some political explanations for why Russia's current system and manner of doing things allegedly works whereas democracy doesn't. And no not "I have an article by a fringe opinion supporting that idea!" I mean actual logical step-by-step arguments. 2) It would be exceedingly easy to take a photo of any run-down house in Russia and apply bleak-looking filters on it and say "look Russia is collapsing." Likewise you can find anti-ANYTHING arguments in any country. Your very own Ayn Rand is an example of a counter-culture to communism, and yes the USA for example does house counter-cultures to democracy and capitalism. Their existence doesn't signify utter doom impending, it's natural for counter-cultures to exist whenever the culture fails someone, which is inevitable. 3) You realize that not only do you have to consider admittedly corrupted democracies such as that in the USA, but peaceful ones functioning perfectly in countries such as Sweden, Denmark and Canada? It's very naive to claim liberal democracies are on the brink of self-destruction when the most peaceful and happy countries in the world just so happen to be liberal democracies. I'm all for critical discussion and constructive debate, but your statements wreak of blind patriotism that's too loyal to see the world around you for what it is. Trust me, I know DAMNED well there's flaws to the USA and other western democracies, but I'm realistic about their flaws. I don't go screaming about how they're about to implode when the reality is they need to shape up a bit, but it seems hysterical reports constantly leave the mouths of the russians. FFS, I remember about 4 years ago some Russian guy posted some claim that the United States was "ON THE BRINK OF ANOTHER CIVIL WAR AND DISSOLVING FULLY" and even had little sections divided up and a long BS theory about how it'd split and why, and how the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, West Coast etc would all break down and form smaller countries. Of course it all turned out to be horse **** and sensationalist hooey that's on par with a guy who spends all day writing Spiderman Fanfiction (no offense intended to Spiderman fanfic writers, I merely mean your work is by no means srs bsns, nor is that guy's "work"). Please, for the love of God, learn to recognize flaws and strengths objectively. I actually like when Russia and the USA criticize each other because both usually offer very valid criticisms of each other, but this? This isn't one such case. This is problems in democracy being at about a 4 being treated as though they were at a 10. Ok, I'm going to assume you don't know Oby and just throw this out there. The time you spent writing this would have been better spent killing fire ants one by one with a pair of tweezers. He won't listen to anything you say and any response you get will only be intended to provoke you. Don't get me wrong we all love Oby here but he's sort of like the crazy uncle at the family reunion. Sometimes it's best just laugh at what he says and otherwise leave him alone. Just sayin'. " killing fire ants one by one with a pair of tweezers" That's a good one, I have never that one before. Is that a local Tennessee saying?
