  1. Not sure if you joking but why would a drone controlled by a pizza franchise that is delivering pizza be an issue? Its designed to also reach more inaccessible areas in the USA....so more people can eat pizza than ever before, of course this can be seen as a negative but I am not talking about people abusing pizza
  2. Explanation is simple - it's profitable.\ 1. Make show about starved Africans (photos with corpses and guro) 2. Steal big summs from US budget ( from taxpayers ) for "Help to Africa". Profit 3. But money must be washed. Government buy food from US corporate food producers... yes, corporations have profit also. 4. Aid can be delivered only by US logistical corporations. yep, moneybags have profit again. 5. In Africa aid... selled to starved countries. Profit! 6. Price of cheap Murican food is smaller then price of food from African food producers - African food producers become bankrupt - African country afetr Western "help" can't feed yourself and forced to buy US food constantly (scheme so similar to how drug dealers spread narcotics ). New market conquered by Murican product - Profit again! 7. White colonialist BruceVC post propaganda about how white colonialists make good things for African peoples. 8. Africans starved not becuse lack of food in country, but because lack of money - their economics become ruined. Capitalists go to 1 and repeat all again in infinite loop. http://www.rense.com/general77/usaid.htm P.S. Bruce use substitution of concepts (non-surprisingly for propagandist) when talking about Capitalists. Capitalists are owners of businesses only, ordinary citizens of the Western countries are NOT capitalists (they more close to... brainwashed slaves), and they don't have real reasons fapped to Capitalistic masters so much as Bruce want this. Sorry Oby but I reject almost your entire post as nothing more than "anti-Western " propaganda In Africa this is the reality There are starving children, there are countries that have known nothing but grinding poverty for hundreds of years..yes Oby poverty and suffering is real in Africa. Its not all countries of course but it must exist in 15-20 %. And the West has provided lots of aid to these countries, its a fact. Check how much aid Russia has given Africa? Almost all African countries had to get loans from the IMF in the 1980's due to mismanagement of there economies after Colonialism ended. Yes ex-Colonialist countries can take some responsibility but ultimately it was a series of bad African leaders who made bad decisions that lead to economic collapse of many African countries ..so you cant blame the West for this No one says " colonial " in regards to Africa. Its offensive and reminds people of a difficult and painful history
  3. So how should human progress be determined? Because things like education for all, curing diseases and reducing poverty require money and countries that have strong economies to fund the initiatives to address some of the global issues the world grapples with ..and these should be examples of real human progress For example the West has given more financial aid to Africa than any other group of countries...and the West is ..like you know....primarily a Capitalist block. This is a huge conundrum because the West is flawed and false right? Oh yes and let us not forget the most obvious contradiction to this " anti-Western " sentiment. The West is so bad but everyone wants to immigrate to the West...even the people who hate it
  4. There is nothing isolationist about peaceful trade and travel. Nothing. Get it right. Sorry for the intrusion. You may all now resume squabbling over which leg of The State gets to stand on your neck. Of course Trump doesn't say things like " I believe in Isolationism " ....obviously not as he is successful businessman and he understands its a global world But his policies may have the unintended consequence of aspects of isolationism. For example how do you build and sustain a coalition in the Middle East against something like ISIS with Muslim countries if you say things like " we are going stop Muslims coming to the USA " ? Its the consequences of his views around foreign policy that should concern people about Isolationism
  5. Quite out of date words- five months out of date. First thing to check on any article, especially any article posted by Bruce and in this case it's in the url. Well, it was a nice quiet few days. Now we just wait to see if oby mysteriously turns up again as well. You cant possibly be suggesting I'm Oby...that makes no sense ? My apologizes, the article is outdated but its still relevant Z Zora, you notice suddenly Oby did turn-up after what you said Which is an interesting coincidence I have to agree . I dont think Oby is a troll but now he may be another member who is active under another name and he wants people to think Oby\BruceVC are the same ...but its not true. I guarantee you
  6. For your only solution you've managed to list three different things. Communism would only happen after Socialism and the absence of the state. I highly doubt the latter is going to happen anytime soon while the former is unlikely to happen without some major upheavals. Socialism would require a large shift in material conditions and probably a revolution or civil war. Mass automation would certainly be that shift, but I highly doubt socialists could overcome sectarianism to build a united front. UBI is the most plausible, and will likely be used in place of current welfare programs and as a supplement to low-wage jobs. We dont only have 3 solutions guys We have solution 4 where we continue to support the free market and Capitalism but we still look at ways to be more inclusive, corporations can be involved in mentorship programs and can provide opportunities to people that have the skills but lack the necessary resumes In fact its silly to suggest we only have 3 options....that is myopic view of the reality as we have many options
  7. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-03-18/eu-leaders-said-to-be-close-to-agreement-with-turkey-on-refugees http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/03/18/eu-turkey-negotiating-breakthrough-deal-on-refugee-crisis.html Here are some newer articles that are really just an update of the previous older one, there does appear to be a real agreement between the EU and Turkey This is good news guys...lets try to be a little positive

  9. Yes I think they positive, I like the usage of this new word " pragmatism "
  10. http://www.brookings.edu/blogs/order-from-chaos/posts/2015/10/19-turkey-europe-action-plan-syrian-refugees-kirisci Guys here is a good and objective read about the new EU-Turkey relationship and how they plan to address the refugee crisis The end of the article is an excellent synopsis of the content where they say the following , but read the whole article A new chapter in Turkish-EU relations? Overall, then, the picture is not very promising. But the very fact that the EU and Turkey were able to reach an agreement at all is evidence that pragmatism may eventually prevail, and that would benefit both. Europe would help Turkey cope with the growing challenges of dealing with millions of refugees, and Turkey would feel that finally some real burden-sharing is occurring. The EU would benefit, too—not only by the influx of refugees being stemmed, but also because it could repair some of the damage that its “Fortress Europe” policies inflicted on its soft power credentials. And, most importantly, Syrian refugees and the very notion of international solidarity and burden sharing would win too. By moving beyond the blame game and giving pragmatism a chance, Turkey and the EU might set a precedent for cooperation on other, broader issues. As far-fetched as it might be, pragmatism could open the way to revisiting Turkey’s accession process with a constructive spirit. It could also help both sides address the bigger challenge of finding a solution to the actual root cause of the Syrian refugee crisis. In the meantime, the United States and other world powers have an interest in cajoling both Turkey and the EU into giving life to the new action plan—it’s the best step forward in the daunting project of providing a viable future for Syrian refugees.
  11. Cruz is more Believer than Spartan. Cruz is more gelatinous cube than human Roll for initiative! "gelatinous cube " that made me laugh
  12. Its a long weekend in SA, Human Rights Day is tomorrow Very important day for us where we remember the Sharpeville Massacre https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharpeville_massacre And as I mentioned having a long weekend is always a bonus
  13. Yup. What the article is saying that the white middle class should die. Huh, that will not backfire in any way, no sir-ree. There's another aspect that we haven't discussed on why the establishment is so afraid of Sanders and Trump. Think of all those legal loop-holes used for revolving door policy making, all those strange national security laws which can be used to wire-tap anybody and throw them indefinately into prison and all those strange executive orders that makes it possible seize land and property how they see fit. Well, it has worked greatly as long as the president has always been sanctioned, screened and made sure to abide by certain gentlemanly agreements. Now imagine the panic if the president is someone not of them, but rather an outsider who is hellbent on out to get them and suddenly has all the manpower and legal authority by their own design to do so. Undone by your own creation, that's quite biblical. I dont think he means they should die literally..he means from an economic perspective But the article is just complete invective and unfair generalizations about Trumps supporters...they arent all that bad He makes it out like they are these absolute scum of the earth
  14. Well it would be untrue to say I did nothing they found controversial or the Mods were concerned about...but the Mods here are very fair. I have had a few warnings and I agreed I needed to be more aware of what I say But people take my jokes too seriously and then think I'm being rude or offensive....Gfted1 you know even here people sometimes misunderstand me? The thing is I'm not malicious or vindictive so it does surprise me when people get offended Could you give us an example of what one forum did to make you leave? There are many, MMORPG.COM and mortalonline.com Sometimes I wasn't banned but people stopped talking to me and I just left as it got boring
  15. Is why I change my identity every 6 years. Every previous community I was a part of I had to leave hastily ....I have never had anyone express an interest in asking me to come back. I was very misunderstood on those forums
  16. Thanks for reaffirming my view Meshugger, I wasn't sure you would agree
  17. Okay well its good that the airstrikes will continue I consider myself a military expert but I dont understand the Russian play, anyway I'll be honest I dont really care about the ME and its problems. The whole region needs to take responsibility for there own issues so I was surprised Russia got so involved. Lets see what happens, I dont see a future for Syria under Assad Its interesting Russia considers him the lawful authority....despite his refusal to make political concessions to his own people and him using chemical weapons. But anyway its not the Wests problem
  18. Everyone about this issue is being obtuse for some reason. Russian airforce is not leaving Syria. Only some of the ground units that weren't doing anything (at least officially). It's a political move that is not going to change anything. The militants are no longer advancing and closing in on Assad's strongholds, his removal by force is no longer on the table. So as far as "what was achieved". What was supposed to be achieved realistically? Russia should have gone all in trying to hold Syria together on the ground like US did in Iraq & Afghanistan? Because that ended well and achieved lots... I don't like Putin but I have to pat him on the back for not getting bogged down in anything like that (yet). Fair enough, this is the first time someone has made a reasonable point around Russia leaving But I'm not sure why Russia went into Syria in the first place if they had no intention of defeating ISIS....they do have the military capability and once ISIS was defeated then they could have left and Assad taken over like he is doing now So no I definitely dont expect Russia to stay in Syria but lets look at the politics ...Russia has claimed to be Assad's ally right. So logically they should at least destroy ISIS to help Assad? This is just basic diplomacy....so the whole thing doesn't really make sense to me? Because now Assad has to deal with ISIS ....Syria is still ungovernable because the peace talks are inclusive of the free Syrian army so ISIS should be the only threat
  19. Its not available in my country? Elerond please post links people can access....not everyone lives in Europe
  20. You cant think Russia pulling out is beneficial...what about ISIS at Raqqa? I thought the Syrian objective was to defeat ISIS....aren't they the real threat. So for me all I can say about Russia in Syria is they bombed the free Syrian army and gave Assad more control but I really thought they were going to ensure Assad stayed in power?
  21. I'll be honest I love superhero comics, I grew up on reading Legion of Super Heroes and Justice League but the only series I have ever watched is Daredevil and I enjoyed it So I have never watched Flash, Arrow or Supergirl or any other series. What would people say are there favorites and what would you recommend...compared to Daredevil
  22. I was watching this event live....its very disappointing. I'm not sure what Russia has actually achieved ....is ISIS in Syria even defeated? @ Oby I can imagine how upset you must be. Sorry about that after all this talk about " Russian military superiority " and Russia didnt even attack ISIS? What was the point of even going into Syria?
  23. Except of course this is how it is used in reality. Interesting but its exactly what I thought...its an Internet word and its a word I would never use in RL I find I dont have to explain things to any women I know and if I did I would never be condescending....that seems to be how men interact
  24. Sorry were you joking? My bad because I don't know what mansplaining means....its an Internet colloquialism but I generally dont follow Internet slang and terms because I think it makes people lazy at addressing RL social issues where you need to explain things in a way that makes sense But I wasnt offended by what you said....what does mansplaining mean?
  25. No sorry, I was about to never ever comment on the USA again but now I realize my views are misunderstood....so I have to start all over again I like you Vaeliorin, you seem to be sincere so I'll be honest Why would you think the word " disrespectful " would be appropriate around me stopping....disrespectful has never been a word I even considered. I have said it must be annoying at times But do you think just because you live in the USA you are an authority on the political reality or that must mean I surly cant have a valid point? Come on dude thats such a strange thing to say .....its like you think the USA operates in a vacuum But for me I will never stop commenting on the USA because the USA is part of much more important view I have around Western ideology and how important that is to overall global prosperity. I'm sorry you got pulled into a broader reality but its best you just get use to my comments or dispute them? Surly I cant be that bad? Okay I tell you what....if 5 other Americans say the same to me now I'll seriously consider your view...is that fair? I mean the last thing I want to be seen as is inconsiderate
