  1. Second episode was equally terrifying
  2. /?http://edition.cnn.com/2016/10/13/middleeast/iraq-inside-mosul-paton-walsh/index.html Finally, various forces are about to attack and reclaim Mosul from ISIS This is long overdue but this is the beginning of the end of ISIS as far as its caliphate is concerned Once Mosul is taken then the focus is on Raqqa. I wonder how brutal and deadly this Mosul campaign will be?
  3. It is unusual I agree and her sister who is my friend is called Enolicia ....also unusual?
  4. Ok, but it doesn't mean we should torpedo the guy. Yes, as you guys know I have a keen sense when someone is sexiist or some kind of bigot But I was wrong to be so harsh to him. What he said isnt that bad
  5. @ Zora Gromnir is right, Russia had $400 billion of foreign reserve and they have been using it to survive and pay bills but my prediction is this will be depleted end of 2017 But there real issue is Putin failed to diversify the Russian economy. And now its too late as who would seriously invest in Russia now ? So unless the oil price gets back to $100 I see no hope for them to address the economic recession they in
  6. Consider this then: Syrian war has empowered Russia. That Afghanistan-like quagmire never materialized and their intervention is seen as a big success. Atrocities might shock diplomats but average voter will find it convenient to disbelieve them. US giving up on Syria could at least limit Putin's gains. Yes, you see this is a good point. Russia gets involved in Syria and this entangles them and costs them resources This would be a good outcome, Putin can experience how dysfunctional the ME is and how it just drains your country The West at least acknowledges these types of mistakes. You must know this Sometimes it has to be seen as collateral damage and yes its a tragedy Russia is denying killing civilians and has shown no remorse. Watch this interview http://edition.cnn.com/videos/world/2016/10/12/sot-amanpour-sergey-lavrov-aleppo-boy-omran-daqneesh.cnn/video/playlists/amanpour/
  7. He asked an okay question about energy, I watched the whole thing But you right again, I was being unfair to him
  8. It takes two to tango. US could have given up on Syria when it became obvious that there was no public support for intervention. Instead it embarrassed itself with 'red lines' and now looks willing to fight Assad to the last rebel it can arm. Syria has suffered enough. It's much better for US to admit defeat today than to spin out the inevitable at a ever rising cost of lives. I'll be honest, it may seem like a terrible thing to say as I agree Syria has suffered but I dont feel anything emotionally ..nothing. I dont really care who wins the war because the entire country is broken and has no more strategic importance to countries that do matter to me I am more concerned with atrocities on the African continent because African people think like me and have emotions like me , I care what happens to Western countries and there citizens But the entire ME is mostly just about trying to keep it stable so it doesnt become a problem the West has to fix as usual But I still dont agree with your view and this is important as only one of us can be right...and if you right I will admit it The Veto is what matters because that is the beginning of when the West would have intervened like in Libya. They would have destroyed Assad's air force and other military resources like his tanks and left the ground fighting to Syrian rebels Once the Syrian rebels had defeated Assad like Gaddafi had been killed we cant predict how it would have ended because who were the Syrian rebels really? But it wouldn't be as bad as today, no chance. There would be no ISIS and most of the country would be intact, Aleppo would be fine for example So when China and Russia vetoed any military intervention they started a chain of events that ended in this disaster we see today Read this old link to see how things were back then in 2011 and what the country was like....Syria had hope back then http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/06/world/middleeast/with-united-nations-veto-russia-and-china-help-syria.html
  9. The New York Times Politics section. https://archive.is/Q9KQD I have to be honest those comments about him actually make me think much less of him....he now seems more like some Internet troglodyte and its best he remains at a place like reddit...he will find good company ........? Huh? I'm lost Bruce, what about those comments make him seem bad or a troglodyte? Am I missing something in that I read he seems like a same laid back person? You understand the background ? Most media networks completely exaggerated how normal and well meaning his one question was. Its like we are all desperate for role models ....he was extensively on CNN and everyone said how great he was But its obvious he has many controversial views and is insensitive about certain events that shook US society Bad guy legally kills kid in self defense. Sucks for everybody,” he wrote, before blaming the news media. hat were, for the record, posted online without her consent Okay to be honest ...maybe he isnt that bad ? Your post made me go back and read what I found that I thought was so bad....I couldnt find anything serious so well done for correcting me I take back the Trog comment Its not right to say things about someone if he isnt that bad...the only excuse I have is I was stoned earlier when I read it first
  10. Sure it is old but also ongoing and its getting worse. Aleppo is almost completely destroyed But the forum members I mentioned never seem to mention it and they usually have a lot to say about any Western mistakes in a war zone But how do you see the Syria crisis as a US failure? It was caused by the Arab Spring and when Russia and China vetoed Western military involvement the war continued and got worse and worse. If anything Russia and China are responsible for the war lasting as long
  11. Guys there are so many links of the atrocities currently being committed by Russia and Assad in there bombing campaign against Aleppo and other areas in Syria. They have bombed hospitals several times and have no concern for civilian life and have indiscriminately killed thousands ...as I always say " there is something that is empty in most Russian, its like they have no conscience "? The USA is considering charging Russia with war crimes and its warranted, lets see what happens http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2016/10/07/kerry-says-russia-syria-should-face-war-crimes-probe/91725626/ Now i know how much some of our forum members are concerned about the loss of civilian lives of Syrians or other Muslims in the Middle East when the USA is responsible ...yet I have heard nothing from anyone about the war crimes Russia has committed So the only possible explanation for this is you guys just arent aware of what has been happening the last 6-8 months so I posted some links for you guys....there are many more Oby, Zora, Volo, Drowsy, Dark, Chillout, LK, Meshugger, Hiro .....I did this for you , its important to be informed http://globalnews.ca/news/2977193/russia-syrian-government-bomb-aleppo-hospital/ https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/dec/23/russian-cluster-bombs-killed-hundreds-civilians-syria-watchdog http://time.com/4129222/russia-airstrikes-syria-civilian-casualties-isis/ http://globalnews.ca/news/2977193/russia-syrian-government-bomb-aleppo-hospital/ http://edition.cnn.com/2016/02/05/politics/kerry-russian-bombs-killing-women-and-children-in-large-numbers/index.html

And I wont lie this friend of mine is hot and she is an awesome person so of course I said i would love to So we have been chatting this week and her sister, Bronwynn, and I get on very well so I'm taking her to lunch today in a few hours, check the menu at the place we going to ..I might get the Eisbein or the Duck? http://www.hillsidetavern.co.za/images/HT%20Menu%202016.pdf
  14. Yeah but in those days alcohol was likely involved.Doing my time sleeping on the floor... Now where is the alcohol to soften up these old bones??? Gorthie but my understanding is the average Australian doesn't even own a bed as its considered pretentious I'm an immigrant. Aren't you supposed to be unconditionally supportive of me? The average Aussie probably also has a six pack in the fridge. Right now I would settle for having a fridge... Going to get a bed on Tuesday though and a fridge and a washing machine too next weekend (as well as internet, giving my mobile phone a break) Sorry Gorthie, you right. I do need to be more supportive ....you know me and my normal refined sense of decorum. I never offend anyone Oh I meant to ask, what about work ?
  15. Yeah but in those days alcohol was likely involved. Doing my time sleeping on the floor... Now where is the alcohol to soften up these old bones??? Gorthie but my understanding is the average Australian doesn't even own a bed as its considered pretentious
  16. he is also cute but in a doggie way
  17. I meant to ask you, how is your sister? You never mention her anymore, is she worried about Trump....tell her the same thing I told you ..its okay she mustn't worry as HIllary will win
  18. No its fine? What aspect of the US foreign policy do you question He's not questioning US foreign policy he's say (correctly) that the public is not in on every detail of the big picture so no one outside the NSA, CIA, & State Dept actually knows what;s going on. Even if the news story is true, if I read someone one chapter from The Count of Monte Cristo they would not be able to tell me what the story is all about. Shady's posts are always so cryptic, well done for deciphering that one GD
  19. No its fine? What aspect of the US foreign policy do you question
  20. You will have to produce a link from some reputable financial analyst for me to believe that. What you suggesting is not a view I have ever heard from many prominent economists People are talking about it, no one in any bank likes to see this because of the potential risk of contagion but if the risk was the collapse of the EU this would be mentioned on network shows like Bloomberg? I gave link to the financials being concerned about this and to Germany printing DM like there is no tomorrow. And you are capable to use google. Sharp I'll be honest., I always find it annoying when people expect you to find the links they are talking about The responsibility to post the link must be yours as you are making the point, lets not be lazy now You will notice I never say " I have a point to make " but you need to find that link yourself
  21. Obama is a half-witted fool. We do not want Russia as an enemy right now. This shows how reckless and idiotic the democrats are behaving. Why? Russia has already hacked the USA several times, why shouldn't the US retaliate ?
  22. This actually makes sense. As I keep telling you guys the Russians have been hacking the USA and now that Russia has been in utter contempt of the Syrian peace talks the USA is understandably irritated ....they will return the Russia hacks, they actually have much better cyber espionage capabilities than Russia and they will use it
  23. This did become obvious,....as much as I think Breitbart feeds a certain negative view I cant start thinking I can guide a certain right wing narrative. Thats just hubris Because we also have extreme left wing views....so do we now change those? So I would not change anything because it makes things even worse
  24. Gfted1 you are a very consistent and interesting person but I think you are being honest about a real misunderstanding that many men, and most people on this forum, just dont understand Most people dont get what most modern women mean when we say " this is sexist " or " what defines gender equality " This is not about intelligence, I didn't get it until it was explained to me. But I wanted to be clear on this topic because I am very committed to achieving gender equality in SA for starters ....and sometimes I need to explain this to SA women I will happily explain it to anyone on this forum but I really dont want to explain it to anyone if they dont really care. And to be honest I think you guys are fine with your definitions because if anyone cared they would have asked by now. For example that Trump women and how she defended Trumps sexism was and is deeply flawed. Yes I can honestly tell you that as a man, I can promise you that just because a women says " this is not sexism " that doesnt mean its true Of course there is a balance, we cant have men now dictating to women about issues like this but this is not the objective So anyway I can explain any terms people aren't clear on?
