Designer explains Brinks failure. I especially like the part where he calls players 'lazy' for not learning their SMART system when they made it useful in exactly one place in the whole game.

Thorium powered cars Crank science at it's best.

But doesn't Blizzard react to behaviour like that? AFAIK they may be one of the few devs that allow you to report someone for insults.
-
Yes they were.OWB slipped by a month and Lonesome road will apparently take even longer. And on the subject of NV: Take a trip to Vegas

They are supposed to revisit COH in the near future. But aside from that I wouldn't expect any new IP form them. THQ won't be taking risks right now. Blizzard sure ain't stupid about hiring. Actually Blizzard hired mostly people that had a reasonable chance of creating serious competition for them. Dow1 designer was hired long before that game could unseat starcraft as a dominant RTS e-sport. The problem with relic is that they specialized themselves in PC RTS. If they can't transition successfully to more modern genre/platforms they will be closed down before long.

So another delay and another unspecified date? Bethesda has been seriously screwing up the DLCs release. And they have just 2 more months to push out the GOTY edition before Skyrim. Maybe the delays rae to troubleshoot bugs? It's what we've been demanding... Supposedly it's not the developers fault. And Old World Blues was similarly delayed and it still end up with it's fair share of issues.

Morrowind was on console too. yeah but you know they didnt play it Morrowind sold very well on xbox. Bethesda admitted openly that it's success convinced them to drop pc focus for oblivion.

That's just a renamed demo. It's nice that it allows to try some basic multiplayer but the full game is still blizzard-overpriced.
-
Not that I disagree but isn't that an indication of a problem with it? If spectating on a free stream is more fun than playing why buy the game in the first place?
-
Graphics wise absolutely, however the physics were pretty good. I wasn't on about the graphics, I do find it amusing that you'd find that impressive. Not sure why. If your not familiar with the developer then you should know Cryptic Sea made some really interesting bridge building games. Better psychic could really improve them, assuming they'll ever get released.

A gazillion. Or about as much as a Chinese item farmer. If auctions will bring in real money they'll quickly adapt and corner the market.

AFAIK it had an offline guest mode making it more of a one-time activation.

More Diablo 3: Mods expressly prohibited

Diablo 3 news: -constant internet connection required -will feature real money auction houses

That's very interesting but how do you suggest the governments handle the problem? Issue a immigrant per square km quota? Or maybe demand some level of language fluency after say 5 years?

Has anyone even considered that he may simply be an attention seeker? It's easy to pick up any cause to kill for if all you really care about is getting famous.

I'm not saying the fight was easy but that it was out of line with the rest of the game at that point. Previous boss fights also suffer from similar problems, sometimes a boss turns out to be completely deadly unlike regular enemies found at that location. And yes after I managed to defeat her once the remaining fights were too easy by comparison. This especially messed up the last level, there was little to no challenge in fighting regular enemies after surviving that boss gauntlet and so I just did a run-through. It's just a shame that such pacing problem ruined unique looking level with new and possibly interesting enemies.
-
Or they could make that fight more in line with the rest of the game. It's not only difficult for all the wrong reasons but also the first fight in a series. Steadily rising difficulty level is hardly an unreasonable expectation.

But a scientist said it, apparently. Do you think you're better than a scientist? The problem is scientists reach conflicting conclusions on the subject. IIRC there have been a number of studies on the subject of video game violence effect on children and most were poorly done and written with an agenda. Just like with any controversial social issue the only thing science shows is that researchers themselves are biased and will purse conclusion their employer expects.
-
So you'd rather a more grim version of Brothers in Arms?
-
That's the point. It still has a lot of the same trappings with realistic weaponry and plenty of marines and it still fails due to perceived lack of realism.
-
I wish I could agree but games like Homefront (or even Flashpoint) don't outsell the likes of Crysis 2 on simplicity alone. The market simply responds very well to the pseudo-realistic military themes. I'd say it's the nature of target audience.

Because they were bought out by Epic shortly after. It's a wonder they had the time to release an expansion before working on a GoW PC. Which that, Painkiller or one of its sequels, Painkiller Overdose and Painkiller Resurrection (Battle out of Hell was only an expansion)? Weren't Overdose and Resurrection just glorified fan mods? New levels, new cut scenes, new voice acting, new art assets, new fmv's, new story, new new stuff etc. Depends on what you regard as "fan mods". Is FO:NV a "fan mod" to FO3? Overdose did start out as a fan mod. It was upgraded to stand-alone game after the work on it began. No they won't because 1) It didn't sell 2) it was complete and utter crap (kind of like an ugly GOW with better storytelling) The game was clearly good as it won critical acclaim, it simply was aimed at a audience that is no longer there. It's hardly a first shooter to do badly, Vanquish and Shadows of the Damned bombed even worse. The only thing that saved Bulletstorm from being a similar disaster was good marketing campaign and the box-included GoW3 beta. It's somewhat admirable that developers still haven't caught on that shooters need to be military-themed or are essentially dead. If Epic really goes on to make another UT they will learn it the hard way.

Bulletstorm sold poorly. Pretty unsurprising tbh. New IP, non-military, limited multiplayer - it never stood a chance.
