  1. Not worth considering a 5700?
  2. Same here in Sweden, one would think that blinker fluid is more expensive than gasoline.
  3. Chilled, drove about 100miles to meet some people, then drove the 100miles back, currently watching some dutch artists make Nightwish covers.
  4. I've been having an email conversation with the GM of a new group I intend to play with, getting to know her a bit, and she just told me that her triggers are sexual and being restrained. I'm an atheist, but.... Jeezuzz... :S
  5. Well, atleast you're not forced to sit by a desk for 7.5 hours each day and wait for stuff to happen. I'd gladly change for what you have right now I hate "working" and not having anything to do, my coworkers are jealous. A couple of weeks ago when I was forced to stay home a couple of days and one of the coworkers from the evening shift took over, she said it was the best week in months... it's possible we are extremely different people, but doing essentially nothing in months is awful. On a more amusing note, the people that sevices our yard tractors got so tired of the boss that they gave me their contact information and told me to contact them directly instead of going through the proper channels. I've been told my boss only tells them "there's something wonky with our tractor, can you come fix it?" and doesn't relay any of the information I tell her. I report the working hours of our tractors every week so that she can call for the service mechanic and plan ahead of time. She. Didn't. Undertstand. What. I. Was. Telling. Her...
  6. **** it, we deserve to go extinct...
  7. Neither do I, and I don't think this will hurt Steam particularly hard if it takes effect. I suspect gog will get shafted harder.
  8. The band of a friend of a friend, I don't speak spanish, but I like it, it's a decent sound.
  9. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-09-19-french-court-rules-steam-users-have-right-to-resell-their-games Ceterum autem censeo Steam esse delendam.
  10. Headache, bored, foul mood because my bosses are being idiots. Again. Supposed to play DnD tonight, but really not in a mood. I think I'm going to have to buy a console, I've got TV's at work for the surveillance cameras, I can easilly move one of them to the other screen and hook up an xbox or similar. Or i could get an external harddrive/USB stick with something like Jagged Alliance and atleast have some proper entertainment.
  11. The price is okay, I make about 19500sek a month, but the location is bad unless you like noisy and messy neighbourhoods, the vast majority there are unemployed immigrant families, and yeah, there are 300 people in line. 3 rooms mean three rooms to do whatever you want with, there is no furnishing, but the plan calls two bedrooms, one livingroom, there is also a bathroom and a closet. This particular company follows a point system, every day you are in a queue you get one point, and the one with the most points get the apartment if they want it. Parents when I was young put their kids up in that queue when they were teenagers, so you don't have a real chance to get one there unless noone is interested. I have 2765 points, that particular apartment you needed 2400 or so points to even get to view the apartment, so that's the median of points the people there has.
  12. Just had a quick look for my local town, it's in the "ghetto", 3room+kitchen 80sqm apartment, 6400sek rent, 300 people in queue...
  13. Well, for the chinese, number four is unlucky, supposedly. I never bought into superstitions about bad luck, but that might be because I never have any l good luck
  14. I hate "friday the 13th". People notice and hang up on things that happens every day, but make notice of because of the date... Atleast it's over where I am, but y'all americans can be unlucky for a few hours more
  15. Oh, yeah, the sound of V8's are amazing. During my upbringing there was a guy that rented space in our barn for a garage of his, and he's always had a couple of cool cars there; 67' Impala, a raised International "jeep", a 70's Lincoln Continental, Dodge Viper, Sierra Cosworth, a 70's Cutlass and many more that I can't remember, but I never had the guts to ask to come along in one, I've only ever drooled over them from a distance, heh. You mean that 1987 Grand National, with turbo? I'm so insanely jealous, that model is insanely cool looking. It looks insane O.O
  16. One 1968 Volvo 121, 1991 Volvo 240, 1998 Volvo 940. I'm still trying to save up money to buy the '67 Galaxie 500 that my father used to own, it's still in town here. I've saved around 1500$, I still need to double it. And add a zero. The more I learn about my industry, the more perplexed I get that the company I work for actually works.
  17. I'm sorry for your loss, but it's good seeing you again! 500$ isn't that bad, you'd get pretty decent tyres for it, but I have no idea why they'd align the suspension unless they've also changed springs/shocks.. My car has started sounding really great now, the back muffler has broken off the piping so I removed it. It doesn't sound much different in normal driving (Perks of having a turbo) but on idle it sounds good, and when I engine break people get scared ****less xD The volvo 240 project has ground to a bit of a halt sadly, the guy that is helping me decided to put his hand through a circle saw, so he's not going to be in the mood for working for a while.. Got the engine in the car, but I need to cut the bellhousing of a volvo 960 auto-gearbox, weld it onto a volvo 940 manual gearbox to mate the engine with the gearbox and make it fit. I've got cables in place for an aftermarket ECU, but I need to register the car with an original ECU - because bureaocrazy.
  18. Just as a funny aside; I think Sweden would have Sharia law before ´the government here would ban cruiseliners, imagine the uproar if people here wouldn't have easy access to taxfree that they've had access to for decades...
  19. Well, the scientists are agreed on the source of global warming, sure, if only the US does it it wouldn't matter; But just something like the EU disallowing pleasure cruisers that'd be the same amount of sulphur emissions of all the private vehicles in the EU. You have to start somewhere though, and I can't comment to much on the green new deal, it's not really interesting/relevant for me as a Swede after all, but if everyone would do their little bit you'd get a quite big total that might equal to if the US went back to a medieval feudal system
  20. I will disagree about the climate there, it's pretty much the definition of apocalypse - the more of the Amazon that burns down the more ****ed we are aswell. But yeah, Capitalism or immigration, neither are world ending in of it's own.
  21. Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Mencken
  22. I wonder how Calax is doing? Haven't seen him around for a long while
  23. "Face of stone and chilling blue eyes"... uhh. Also, al'Lan Mandragoran is supposed to be around 50 from what I remember.
