  1. I really have trouble seeing anything resembling the first two Max Payne games in that video. Except Bullet-Time. Because apparently the only thing that mattered about Max Payne was bullet time.
  2. PressXY/Transgender Issues in gaming Panel on youtube http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCHRXBnsy8YrkOZsWuv25Qw
  3. I'm sadfacing so hard right now. http://www.linkedin.com/pub/justin-cherry/28/a73/758 He seems to have left now though.
  4. All the best and the fans miss you. Will closly watch everything you do in the future.
  5. Unlikely though as he hasn't adjusted a new title but removed the old. Also what virumor said about his forum account.
  6. Think this deserves its own thread. From Linkedin I truly think that Ziets surpassed even Avellone in some areas regarding video game writing. It's like a dream-team split apart and I really hope that Ziets lands a job in a team that caters to his talents. (I even more hope that I'm completly wrong and he just changed positions or something like that, damnit. Though it seems unlikely as it just fits too well.)
  7. Talk about flawed. @Delfosse As you can see, most people have very different opinions on what are the best jrpgs. I'd recommend to try out those that are most recommended. Beginning with Chrono Trigger is always a good idea as it is one of the few universally recommended ones.
  8. ... The one I feared most during the last month..... George Ziets (I hope I'm wrong on this as his LI profile still says Obsidian Entertainment in the title. But maybe he just hasn't changed it yet. Or maybe it was like this before. Or maybe I'm just making excuses up to feel better) Edit: Nope, its changed recently. Damnit. :( :(

  10. Technically it's possible just not plausible. Making a AAA game costs a massive amount of money compared to the money being raised on kickstarter, and that doesn't even include the even more massive amount of money needed to market the game. So would it be possible to raise, say, $25M on kickstarter? Sure, but it's not remotely plausible. You would have a higher chance of winning the lottery or getting struck by lightning twice in the same day. Even if you found a bunch of incredibly rich people, you'd still be talking at least 2500 people donating $10,000 each. That's just not even remotely plausible. Possible yes, but so is a falling piece of meteor landing directly in your coffee cup. Doesn't mean it will happen. You're overreacting a little bit. 2'500 people a $10'000 is the same as 250'000 people a $100. And its NOT impossible that Kickstarter could reach such backer numbers in the future the more established it gets. After all, 250'000 copies sold of a bigger game counts as rather low. (Of course in that case I doubt the average would be ~100) I agree at the moment its implausible and Kickstarter probably will not be used for such big numbers, I just disagree with your reasoning. The chances are nowhere near as low as the examples you describe.
  11. Not necessarlly. It can be benefitial with both sides realizing that they are different from how it used to be. Keeping them apart just strengthens the anger and hate between legionaires/those loyal to them and Jeyne/archons. That atleast was my reasoning for working together.
  12. Considering I was a major reason she pulled that crap in the first place. Had no problem with leaving her alive. So, no. Didn't have any problems leaving her alive. Still, have a "worse" impression of the legion (especially Odo) than I have of Kassynder even after the end. And its not like any of the real puppet masters behind the whole thing have appeared so far (except maybe Azunai).
  13. Jane Jensen going Kickstarter Well, its supposed to be a secret till tomorrow but hiding behind a simple URL isn't exactly the safest method: http://pinkertonroad.com/games/
  14. Read the FAQ. It offers up a lot of possibilities. According to a comment Scott Murphy (Space Quest Co-Creator) is also ready to join them.
  15. On the PS3? Really bad. F3 already suffered from it and so did Release Skyrim. Basically at a certain point the game can become unplayable and crash almost instantly. There are examples of people that managed to get through normally but chances are good you are going to encounter it.
  16. Leisure Suit Larry Kickstarter! Al Lowe!
  17. http://www.gamebansh...iew/page-2.html It's a very positive sounding interview in general. Anyone notice the "s"? Also Onyx is not used. Wonder what engine they are going with.
  18. Takedown (Hardcore Tactical Shooter) reached its funding goal
  19. A lot of the design has been done already, though. Or am I misremembering.
  20. Because Onyx would certainly be capable of doing that and is already built up for use in rpgs including complex dialouge-trees.
  21. Hopefully this doesn't mean that they do not use the Onyx engine.
