  1. Obsessed is maybe a tad excessive but I'm certainly interested a lot.
  2. Don't worry, I can understand your reluctance on talking about dates. Anyway happy to hear that you feel you're developing a strong game.
  3. Maybe it's just my imagination but I remember the devs saying there were side missions you could choose to do (or not) in your hub in the various cities.
  4. The screenshots are obviously gorgeous, probably the only time in my life I've seen in-engine graphics surpass concept arts. However I can't say I'm particularly interested, since it seems a tweaked Crysis with a lil' bit more story in it. I'll still probably give the demo (if there is one) a try.
  5. Untill I play the game I obviously can't comment but my guess is that players without toughness will have to rely on their armors, so a stealth character that uses a fragile but very stealth-y armor would be ****ed up in open combat while a more balanced approach (still stealthy but with an armor that make a bit more noise and is a bit more resistant) would be preferable if you are spotted by the enemy.
  6. That bit stood out to me as well. I'd prefer it if you couldn't kill everyone if you have zero skills in the particular weapon. But judging from that earlier preview, I guess it's gonna be really hard and/or frustrating. That or he was talking about active skills (like Chain Shot). It wasn't exactly clear.
  7. I'm not saying you should care about the mods, I'm just saying that since this systems have been already quite succesfully implemented by the community so FNV devs shouldn't have any problem implementing it and maybe they've already (after all that's what they did with the weapon mods). As for the content I found some quests rewarding and decently-designed (even if most were silly story-wise) but most of them were just... disheartening. I trust J.E. and his minions will do a better job.
  8. Sorry, we all ready the paid the assassin and can't reach him :/ Don't worry, it was me. You are the shemale assassin I hired? I told you it was a secret, dammit.
  9. The interview is definitely interesting, however I'm not sure what point they're trying to make when they say that the game can be concluded without using RPG skills if the player is good in action games. Especially after the previews that talked about dice-roll shots.
  10. I point to FWE again. With a sufficient Repair skill you can build repair parts (usable for almost every weapon/armor) from scrap metal. Alternatively you could simply buy them.
  11. Sorry, we all ready the paid the assassin and can't reach him :/ Don't worry, it was me. Jokes (or serious business?) aside any hint on how close you're to an announcement? Other generic question that expects generic answers : do you already have something strong to show off?
  12. Well, mods show that rebalancing Fallout 3 it's possible while not losing the RPG components (actually, some of the most famous mods like Fallout Wanderer's Edition ENHANCE the role-playing/choice aspects). What I would like to see in Fallout New Vegas is a level design that minimize the NECESSITY of combat. In Fallout 3 pretty much every build should be a combat character, with or without twist. There's really no reason to not tag at least ONE combat skill.
  13. Hum, it's the first time he leads a project? Should be interesting. Not that we know much... It'd be interesting knowin' the size of the teams that are working at Obsidian now. Since from what I understand AP is finished (or has a very very small team working on it now) and FNV has a small size team, and since probably WoT has a small team too, this should be the new big project for Obsidian. Ofc, it's just speculation.
  14. Good luck in San Fran then.
  15. Finished my playthrough. Unfortunately it seems that even if you find the spy in the Followers their ending is still bugged. Started Fallout 2 with the Restoration Pack 2.0. I will probably build an altar dedicated to Killap.
  16. If true, too bad, he seemed a nice and generally helpful guy (even with all the damn NDA ).
  17. You haven't played the game but you already know about the bugs? Wow.
  18. I don't know.. it's true that it can be exploited, but what's the point? It's not like playing in Hardcore mode gives you any benefit, and switching it during your playthrough gives you the possibility of testing it and deciding if you like it or not without having to replay from the beginning if you find the game too easy/too hard.
  19. On the Beth's forums the community manager (uhm, I think he's the community manager) said it has nothing to do with their games. So yeah.
  20. You just made me happy sir.
  21. IIRC one playthrough should be around 20-30 hours. It's a game tailored around replay value not length, as far as I understand Obsidian's intent.
  22. ....Glad my lack of money spared me doing the beta-test for Bioware.
  23. Fallout with unofficial TeamX Patch and a restoration mod that adds back the spy in the Followers of the Apocalypse. Sweet.
  24. Still haven't bought and played the expansion but on my PC the memory leak with the OC were never THAT bad. Sometimes after 2/3 hours the loading times would become Witcher-like () but that was it. ....... So you're telling me they managed to make it worse with the expansion?
  25. However, the scene we were shown didn't fully convince me that these lofty goals will come to fruition. Sure, the scene happened in two completely different ways, but they still both happened in the same place, at the same time, with the same people. It's a remarkable achievement in many ways, but it only puts it on par with other games with branching narrative released months before it. Aehm, so, when the girl is pissed off Mike should meet her in another place for no reason whatsoever?
