  1. +1, also there seems to be an invisible object and some texture tearing underneath the porch near the haze mix.r that wasn’t there before the wasp update. Please patch the skeleton soon, usually you guys are really good about addressing the glitches, I’m surprised this one has been around so long.
  2. Does anyone know if gas arrows work on stink bugs or haze creatures? I can’t find anything about it on google.
  3. The point of a bow over crossbow is rate of fire, and you don’t have to wait for the reload animation to swap weapons in a pinch. if poison effects stack, which it doesn’t seem like they do, you can apply a lot of venom in a short time. However, when you consider the dps is pretty similar and the bows use waaay more ammo, the only reason not to use a crossbow is if you have a problem with enemies closing too fast and you can’t get your shield up in time.
  4. The black ant armor should look like samurai armor to match the new sword and keep the japanesey theme of the red ant armor.
  5. Sleep at night and you'll never encounter any wolf spiders unless you seek them out. of course, you still get a stray here and there that you'll have to avoid or kill. Just be careful around dawn and dusk, and stay indoors at night.
  6. Update: working fine now. I'll be back if anything changes.
  7. The scarabs are supposed to be hard AF, and if you don't have the gear to hunt them, you're not ready for them anyways. It's refreshing to have a new bug that you don't kill by face-tanking it, or strafing circles around it, like everything else.
  8. Use the survey station to search for twinkling shells. Go to that area. WALK around the area indicated on the map. Staying off the ground helps. If it sees you, it'll hit the NOS and there is no catching it. If you chase it, it will burrow into the ground and you cannot dig it up. You'll probably only get one shot. Use a crossbow, as strong as you can get it, with splinter arrow and a crow feather cap. The sharpshooter mutation may pin it to the ground and provide a second shot but if your crossbow is strong enough you should be able to one-shot them with that gear. If you don't kill it with the first shot, you may be able to hit it again while it's running (I've done that once), and if you follow it slowly enough it may start walking back towards you and give you a second chance. But to consistently farm them, you'll need to one-shot them. Spotting them first is the hard part.
  9. Playing the public test, got new patch that released last night. Game was fine until this morning. Now the only light source seems to be the player. In the screenshots I'm standing on the log fence post near the soda can looking at the tree at 5:40am. The only light seems to come from the sword and the firefly headlamp. The pink lights on the lasers are visible in the distance, and there are "reflections" on the droplets despite a lack of light to reflect. Tried going back several saves, they all do the same. *Edit* Loaded a old save from before the H&H update, it's doing the same thing.
  10. fast travel would ruin the spirit of this game. Ziplines are good enough.
  11. 2. They're way ahead of you. See ladybird in public test. 3. Why a ripped dog poo bag? It's a back yard, there's no reason there shouldn't be piles of steamers around. No one bags their dog's poop at home. 5. The characters are 7 mm tall. Stop asking for interactable reptiles and rodents. And there's already a preying mantis in the game files.
  12. 100% agree with this. It's a nice idea, but has a much steeper impact with heavier weapons than light. It may make the greatsword and mint mace obsolete. Maybe a nice compromise like 75-100-125 would work, but that first hit of the combo is pretty much useless now and it's really the only one you're guaranteed to land.
  13. Just started with the public test, noticed 2 things right off the bat: My screen resolution is fixed at 2715x1512 unless I put it in windowed mode, which I hate. The grinder will only make mushroom slurry out of the small caps, not the chunks, and the description for the spinner is at the top.
  14. This happens a lot when an update changes the terrain around your base. It’s best never to build near the under construction signs, which were inches away from the western stepping stones. Lots of people are gonna be pissed when they finish the upper pond and all those massive bases on YouTube get wiped out.
  15. I went to the clover first. Now my dice won’t move.
  16. If you’re on PC there’s a mod that removes all DOF and the yard is crystal clear.
  17. It sounds like you’d be happier playing on mild. Hunger and thirst aren’t really issues, just fill up in the morning and you’ll be good all day. The full time Scarlett embrace was op tho. I didn’t realize how much of a crutch it had become for me until the public test. Now there’s a reason to make smoothies.
  18. The characters are 7mms tall. Mantis is several inches. We wouldn’t stand a chance.
  19. Shields, floors, furniture, crossbow, the possibilities are endless
  20. I ride ladybugs all the time. They decide where we go though.
  21. Love the new update, a little bummed to find the magnifying glass is no longer by the oak tree but whatever. This game always ran great for me, even through the public test, until the 20th. 2 new major problems came with this update though, both red ant related: 1. too many red ants and they respawn too fast. I cleared the western hill of every ant I could find, the next day there were dozens running around again. They’re causing lots of lag and lead to issue #2. I built my primary base on the baseball for the obvious reason: bugs can’t get too it. However, a multitude of red ants find themselves at the baseball every day, squeaking and chirping their asses off, killing every weevil they can find, and sometimes clustering in a tight group where the ball meets the ground. The noise alone is infuriating, but occasionally one teleports to the top of the ball, right in the middle of my base. I’ve seen it happen twice, and I’ve lost countless of pieces of food in the middle of the night, even from chests that are off the floor. I’ve even lost food from my backpack while sleeping in my bed. you guys already put a mosquito on my second favorite place to build, Rash Island. Please fix the baseball, I can’t live without it.
  22. This was an issue during the public test too. There are too many worker ants now and they lay eggs too fast so the whole nest respawns in like a day. Also I think the grass in the grasslands area is taller and denser since the update.
  23. *sigh* CTDs started again last night, 6 in a row. Here’s what happened: killed brood mother, came back to baseball, saved. I have a storage basket on a table where I keep extra tools and armor. It was full so I made second one. While transferring gear from the full one to my inventory, or vise versa, the game started crashing whenever I started moving objects. It happened with shift-clicks and drag and drops. At first I thought it was because I didn’t release shift between objects, so I was very sure to release and press it again between object but no help. I tried to drag and drop only, more ctds. The only thing these chest have in common with the ones from the original post are that they are at the baseball and off the floor. These two baskets are on a round table, the chests from the previous post are on a grass floor being held by a half wall, with a stem pallet tucked underneath. I hope you guys get this on figured out, because I love grounded but this glitch is a game-breaker.
  24. Great idea. I’ve never even seen that location on a list. Any ideas on keeping the grass from regrowing through your base once you’ve cleared and built on an area. You’d think that alone would stop regrowth but I get grass blades sticking through my baseball tower all the time, even after I cut them down and clear the stumps.
  25. Idea for the devs: description of ability on mouse-over so I don’t have to pause the game and scour the forums to find out what the upgrades do. Same with armor set bonuses.
