I think it's something like, we have a decade of vaping in the UK, and a single death that relates to vaping - and from what I dimly recall, again it was someone using illegal vaping stuff rather than legitamate sources. Still, it's a single decade, so it's not as if it's a serious amount of time to see ill-effects as such. But it's also one of those interesting in just how quick many governments are to snapkick legislation vs vaping in general without worrying about the science but keeping that initial "related to smoking" backlash. Which you rarely seem to see with booze...

To be fair, if its less dangerous than smoking cigarettes.. It's still an improvement..

Giving Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey a try. Third-person survival type, but with the premise of being set 10,000,000 years ago in Africa (at least, that's where it starts), and you're slowly guiding the evolution of primates into humanity. Deveoping "skills" over generations that represent improved communication, motor functions, tool making, etc. The opening sequence includes a line about "we're not going to help you much", and by god that's right. The tutorial is very basic, and there's no real guidance on what you're doing. You have to learn as you go, figuring out what you actually need to do - just like a primate that has yet to evolve. One key thing is that so much of it runs by audio cues, when to click a button, when to release a button, it all comes down to hearing the right audio cue or everything goes **** up. Frustrating and engaging at the same time.

As an alumni of the University and the d20 Society there (which, as it might sound is the tabletop Role-playing society) I've been going back to run a Pathfinder campaign over the last year. As someone who's been playing and running games since I was a wee lad back in the days of AD&D 2nd Ed, I've found it slightly quirky that about 80% of my players are ladies. Then tonight, I turn up, and somehow.. I suddenly find myself amidst a group of 19-22 year old ladies asking me on relationship/emotional advice about dating and on dealing with the guys in their lives.
