  1. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm mostly just using the single-player mode to get a feel for it and know what I'm doing. I'll likely give one of the normal servers a try at some point to see what things are like with other players around.
  2. I enjoyed the hell out of CK2, but I think I'm firmly in the camp of waiting a long while before I get CK3. Pretty much wait for the next years updates and balances..and the assortment of DLC expansions to come out and be on sale..
  3. Started up the single-player Conan Exiles to see what its like and pick up how it works, spent about 5 hours collected stone and tree stuff, killing a few things built a small house at that first river/lake area to get to grips with how things work. Am kind of disappointed in the combat so far - yes, its somewhat brutal, but it does feel very random hack and slashy. I'd have expected something a bit more elegant and gruesome from a Conan game.
  4. I was curious and picked up the base game in the sales, I haven't actually sat down and started it properly yet...
  5. https://kotaku.com/halo-fan-builds-25-000-brick-frigate-out-of-lego-1845006422 Steve Witt has spent the last five years building a Paris-class UNSC heavy frigate from Halo that is over seven feet long.
  6. Well remember, as I recall, Villenueve was originally saying he planned to do Dune as two films. With the plague I've lost track of whether that was still the plan or whether it has actually all been condensed into a single feature. I really should google-fu it up. And Chalamet has talked about the fact that one of the key appeals to him was that Paul is as much an anti-hero / journey to become the villain rather than your typical protagonist, so I'll personally be curious how he plays that out.
  7. To go in that quirky niche thing.. A fan has re-edited that fairly terrible Wheel of Time pilot that was done on a budget one weekend in an attempt to keep the rights... https://winteriscoming.net/2020/09/02/terrible-wheel-of-time-pilot-reedited-snyder-cut-winter-dragon-reborn/
  8. The ones that left their mark on generations...
  9. Just watched BIll and Ted Face the Music. It is that seriously joyfully feelgood movie. Plus, it is kind of entertaining to go from Keanu's intense John Wick to slackjawed bodaciousness.
  10. One of our generic "mixed ridiculous short quiz/contest shows with a panel of comedians and minor-league celebrities who take no seriousness in any of it" programs... We seem to do a lot of those for some reason...
  11. https://trekmovie.com/2020/08/23/watch-dr-bashir-garak-express-their-love-in-fanfic-performed-by-alexander-siddig-andrew-robinson/?
  12. Watched the first half of season 5 Lucifer. Has an odd feel, every episode so far is a shift in perspective from the "normal" setup and structure of an episode. Some minor emotional ups and downs, a few chuckles, a dash of creative backstory. Then in the opening of episode 5 "Detective Amenadiel" I have the first serious laugh our loud moment. Chloe's "I'm going to stick to police work, and avoid anything God-related." <scene cut to slow camera pan> "Sister's of the Divine Path" and a dead nun, along with the music intro of "Personal Jesus".
