I often feel that way on here. That's why I stay on the Community forums, less rabble make it here and when they do they are intimated by the level of rhetoric that we employ. I will say this, we have world class trolls that wouldn't operate on other forums because no one would understand them. It is elitist to say that we are better because we operate at a higher level; but truly, this community is.

I feel somewhat obliged to clarify a thing here; because I come from a place that most of you would readily admit to be a tyrannical regime. The government stretches as far as what it can influence, the notion that because it is not done directly by the government nothing has been violated is ridiculous. Firstly, the bill of rights is not granted by the government, but recognized by it. They couldn't stop me from speaking my free mind within the confines of my own home and making it illegal would just be overzealous. Secondly, the fact is that government protects the rights of some while denies those of others based on the politics of the day. EG: Facebook has a right to deny their service to people they don't agree with but a bakery is punished because they don't want to serve gay weddings. Which of course the government does nothing about because of politics, neglecting their duty to uphold these God given rights. The fact is that the government influences other institutions and enforces a political view, and that is how it operated on the tyrannical regime where I come from. Not through direct action, not by sending people to a gulag, just by making sure that the detractors where declared persona non grata and that the institutions made sure to enforce the right political views. I see the same thing done by the US and just because i'm not the afflicted party doesn't mean that I can simply turn a blind eye to it. If I was capable of doing so at would at least be honest with myself and stop pretending that it was a about a better world, when it really is about fulfilling my self interest. But that might the last vestige of morality in me talking.

Well, I gotten to Skellige and if you ever play the Witcher 3 you will know what i'm talking about next. Did they really had no better enemy for an isle with lots of cliff that you have to climb than a bunch of flying mermaids? I will forever remember that one damn rock where you stand for 15 minutes just waiting for a siren to get close enough that they can be dropped into the small portion of rock so that you can kill her. Because thanks to their combat system you can't run and climb at the same time and it defaults to combat mode as soon as you stop running. Tis a poor man's Assasin's Creed.

Trust me, you didn't miss anything. I barely used electric fist and much less got a lot of hit with it, towards the end with all the sustained abilities I only had one charge with which I mostly use the lighting bolt. It always hit and jumps to nearby enemies.

Spider games combat is a bit iffy but after you understand it it becomes predictable. Just know that we all had those problems and that they happen on each of their games. But once you get past a few levels and learn how their combat mechanics work you're going to do fine, by then your problem will be how tedious the combat has become and how there isn't any enemy variety. Just treat the dodge as if it was a block/parry mechanic, hit it at the last second for massive benefits.

The tone will definitely be serious. We're talking about a world-spanning empire lead by Fantasy Stalin here. A dude who's apparently launched multiple magical WMDs during the last leg of his conquests. I find the notion of a Fantasy Stalin hilarious, I'm currently playing space Hitler on Stellaris.

Recently finished W3 on death march with pure alchemy. Way to OP build and with B&W mutations unkillable. Bleeding damage is blocked by Swallow. I don't remember if ****atrice is the one but the one with poison on top can be nullified with master oriole potion that make poison attacks heal you. Just read the descriptions if potions, oils and monsters you fight. Reading is key in the game. As a rule you block/parry humans and humanoids if they dont have 2handed weapon or are bigger than Geralt and dodge everything else. Also the best protection against monsters are gears with % protection against monster damage. Cheers This was one of the hybrids, I forget which. But the wing attack had a bleeding effect that stacked and overwhelmed shallow, my only option was to run away while I recovered health which was near impossible since that thing was faster than I. Anyways, it was a ****ty boss battle that really makes the worse points of the witcher combat system shine and a pure alchemy build is always more difficult on lower levels when you don't have good formulas. I just hate that I have to go through that grief to end up with a class that was nerfed, so you go through all that for nothing since every other class has access to the same formulas on top of their skills.

This thread makes me chuckle. Anyways, it's a game expect the same tame **** as always. It will at best be a government simulator with a good story and at worst It will be another game that thinks that "killings" a bunch of polys is edgy. Unless I get that dead baby mace that I was promised for another game I won't be impressed....BTW I meant a mace made of a dead baby not mace spray against dead babies.

Ok, back on topic. Got all the expansions and started playing again...and I gotta say **** you CD Projekt. Dodge works like ****, a ****ing ****atrice gives bleeding damage with every hit that can't be blocked, only dodged at the right angle (and only when the stars align) plus all the other problem with combat and I ****ing hate the gall of **** telling that you should play this on death march. Because I decide to spend points the alchemy tree which was meant to be overpowered but has been nerfed to hell and back because of unknown reasons I now have top play a mediocre build unless I decide to spend points on something else. So really, **** them for ruining my playstyle and **** them for their ****ty combat.
