  1. Aren't you from California? Anyways, today I lit a candle to wish Steve Jobs a happy retirement. May death come swiftly to his enemies (except Bill Gates[he dies slowly])
  2. Great, my pre-order will arrive before my repaired computer. Awesome
  3. Its hard to ask any game to break the nostalgia googles, I think that DE:HR stands on its own as a good successor. That's all they should be asking for; whimsical masses, sheesh.
  4. It's a sad day for Canada and therefore the rest of the world
  5. So in your mind NATO main purpose its to protect the interests of the west and that is bad how? Last I checked we are all from the west and at the risk of sounding cynical we haven't traded down on our standard of living to help a random stranger. The revolt was going to end with a clear winner, throwing your lot with them its a proactive way to secure an alliance. Standing by and ignoring the issue hoping that whomever comes out on top its a rational person that will maintain trade its wishfull at best. Plus with Chavez converting to "Castrorism" the US has very few sources in which to rely for a steady income, not to mention the strain on an already fragile economy. It may not look it but the western allies are acting out of desperate self-preservation.

Raining in real life, no need for mood. Seriously someone turn off the damn valve on those clouds, i've stuff to do.
  7. That oil its a major factor no one is denying, but there is a grand difference of NATO allies trying to create a center of stablility on a region that controls a resource in which the whole world depends; and the future exploitation by corporations that everyone seems to be speculating about. It has to do a lot with the fact that nowadays, oil seems to be mostly on the hands of the opposition and that we have reached a point in cultural development where we rely on a steady intake of resources.
  8. I do tend to "overdramatize" for effect, not an agenda It may not be fair to ME but beneath the illusion of choice it was a pretty linear game where the only real choices where when you resolved the objectives, and the final resolution through dialog. The in between was a series of wack a mole shooter fights where strategy was unnecessary since you could basically pick a hole and start shooting. Which was often the best strategy. The game really doesn't offer a different resolution based on class or has a multiple approaches to combat. Hoping for a fix on ME3 but it most like seems that it will be the same thing but on better buildings. Although they say that they are implementing a stealth approach.
  9. Wait, now I'm confused. Who did they arrest, the ones who originally incited the riots or people who were inciting after the fact? I actually did the Jesus thingy, but I don't see how it applies since it was on school property not the Internet.
  10. Today my NVIDIA driver gave me a code 43, which means that now i'm running in low res with no GPU. I need to change my PSN password but they don't sent the automated e-mail so now I have to call tech support. So all in all it's been a Murphy day, but i'm zen through it all. (And by zen I mean completely misanthropic just a hair trigger from snapping someone in half)
  11. I think that the main difference in the transitions of both series its that AC was more linear whilst ME became broader. AC was always an action/adventure sandbox game with great combat mechanics and they maintained that while they changed the mechanics. ME went from being an RPG/shooter to a shooter with dialog, mainly because no one likes shooter mechanics based on RPG-like progression (DX, AP, ME1) The solutions that BW took were far more drastic than anything Ubi had to face. But it was their noncommittal choice of direction which made ME2 not quite a good third person shooter and not fully an RPG, leaving a half breed that displeases both extremes of target consumers (the shooter and RPG purists respectively) What I fear its that this lack of clear direction will continue onto ME3 with mechanics that have the same lukewarm effect.
  12. Actually, I was just thinking on the amount of harm that it can incite. Your example is a clear harm since it divulges personal information to the public, but if someone put up a poster saying "Everyone who reads this, go jump off a bridge" Could it really be called a danger since no one would be likely to follow its advice? Why would you think that?
  13. I never said that, I put forth the example of AC because every game in the series bears strong resemblance to the previous one. Yet they always manage to improve upon the series by fixing their errors and making every game an improvement over their predecessor. So that while it may look similar it is only because they retain the good elements. Which its a contrast to BW and their search to make an Action/RPG that its accessible to the casual crowd by streamlining (removing all RPG elements) Personally I think they are just going to make a repeat of ME2 with some new "awesome" antic to attract attention. Guess my point can be distilled into, looking similar its not a flaw as long as the similarities are for the better and there is an improvement over the faults.
  14. They can arrest people for putting up posters?
  15. Not that there was anything wrong with that since I enjoyed FO3, but I'm left wondering if more than the gameplay carried from ME2 (please not the storytelling). Now i'm reminded of a great example the AC series, you could argue that they all look similar and they do. But each game improves on the problems of it's predecessor, if BW can pull that off with ME3 i'm down with it. Although it feels more that its another experiment paving their way into that ideal game that will allow them to keep their fans and get the COD crowd. In other words; they are looking for the fabled unicorn.
  16. I need one of the in house lawyers to answer this, but can they legally do this? Arrest them for posting on the web. Sure. Well?
  17. Whilst me on the other hand love missing certain points, because it makes subsequents watch/plays both likely and enjoyable.
  18. Wow 4 cookies, did you ask her out yet?
  19. I need one of the in house lawyers to answer this, but can they legally do this? Arrest them for posting on the web. I think it comes down to the "inciting to riot" style of.. does it really matter the medium that the "inciting" is done in? Technically I thought that it was "disrupting public order", but can you really call that on the web. Since its not part of the public order.

  21. yeah. i noticed that too... all the dragon age 2 haters probably had a simultaneous heart attack. Ok I'm back from the hospital (because of my heart attack) Please don't link to stuff like that anymore, you are going to kill me. Seriously though, ME3 feels more like ME2.v3.1
  22. I got it instantly. What kind of nerds are you people? We're nerds born after 1990
