  1. The obsession with homosexuality in games some forum members have is very ripe for Freudian interpretations.
  2. My flippant attitude is a result of my unwillingness to believe that any problems of the world will be solved on any internet message board in general, or the obsidian board in particular. My opposition to your viewpoints is due to my opinion that your viewpoint is at least as coloured by nationalist Serb propaganda, as that of the opposing camp would be by "CNN". Hence my earlier referral to what I've said before, the more you look at things FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES, the more muddled they become. There is no universal truth, apart from 42.
  3. The way I read it, it started out that way, and in the final page or so I suddenly became either Norwegian or the inhabitant of some other NATO country. Neither of which I am.
  4. Now you are putting words in my mouth and attitudes in my head - but that is nothing new, it is something you do on a macro scale in most of your other posts, as well. In fact, claiming that there is a "right side" in conflicts is pretty much the antithesis to my opinions on most matters. I point to the quote Wals has in his sig.
  5. Yeah, but Bio has a gazillion people, they better work on something else. Wasn't there once a rumor about something called Project Zulu? True, but I still doubt they'd announce anything just yet... But hey, I wouldn't be opposed to it!
  6. Isn't it always the case? No. Last years gamescom was rather drab. But it's really about time to get new stuff announced from Obsidian, Rockstar, and possibly Bioware. I very much doubt Bio will be announcing any new games, at least. With SWTOR and ME3 on the way, I'd say e3 2012 is the first we'll hear of anything new. Possibly an expansion for DA2, but I suspect if there were any such plans, they've been postponed and that team put to work on Legacy, as well.
  7. Ah, the famous "everyone knows!" argument. I hope it doesn't float at wherever you are studying. Oh please. Continue to plead ignorance at every inconvenient opportunity. Make my day. Better ignorance than wanton misrepresentation.
  8. Ah, the famous "everyone knows!" argument. I hope it doesn't float at wherever you are studying.
  9. Never heard anyone refer to school or movie theatre bombers as anything else than terrorists. Maybe you should look for hypocrisy a bit close than that?
  10. I'd also add the moral hazard of knowing that no matter how bad you **** up, you'll be bailed out. Which leads to riskier investments, since you don't have to bear the risks.
  11. Rather round the wrong way. Steam wants all DLC for games sold on it to be available 'native' on Steam, so that they can get their cut. Other DD channels aren't effected, only the one which wants compulsory DLC distribution rights. Or in other words it's a specific, and specifically, Steam TOS condition causing the problem, and specific Steam action to remove EA's games. Stick Steam DA2 key into Origin, purchase DLC, problem solved. Next problem to work on, having terrible taste in games (ahahaha). That's interesting, is this a new development or has it been going the whole time? I've never bought any DLC from Steam...
  12. I agree. Slider systems make me want to flip off a box of kittens. It's the number one reason I'll never play a femshep past character creation. At least in Oblivion I never had to look at my character. Ever. Not what I meant. The default Maleshep is based off a fashion model whose name I forget, you could've simply done the same if you wanted to decide on what default Femshep looks like for marketing purposes (nobody uses default femshep in game). And not looking at an Oblivion character is always a good thing. How can you forget, they even call the default shepard "shepardloo" :D
  13. It adapts based on the act and . It fits more into Awakening's than DA2's story, and it's set up as a separate varric flashback, anyway. Apparently the loot scales up to level 25, so that might be another consideration in picking the spot when you do it...
  14. Yeah, that's a bit rough. It looks less ridiculous in the hawke estate, but since it takes place in a separate flashback, it kind of makes sense. (ie. can't be placed into any of the three main "years").
  15. ... Yeah. It's funny, I'm about as snow white as it gets, and I chose the "dark" she-pard, not out of some ridiculous cry for diversity, but, frankly, coz I thought she was hawt. This tells me that in some corner of the universe, there's a ton of hawt girls with red highlights being totally ignored because people are idiots. I just need the directions now, please.
  16. 23 %! Of course, it's VAT, not "sales tax", which means that largely a non-issue for non-private individuals. Makes **** all difference to me!
  17. 'coz he's a fascist. In the classical sense, not in the "who are the fascists now, says the German tourist when he has to get bodyscanned at an U.S. airport" sense.
  18. AFAIK, it's a lot less about playing hardball with Steam, and more about not wanting to share the pie with them. At least all the Bio PC DLC sales run through their website and the BioBucks (which they, unlike MS, happily sell in packages that correspond to normal DLC prices - otherwise even a cast-iron fanboy like me would stat bitching), I don't know about other EA dlc. Semi-related, I've been running the current Origin since they gave me (and everybody else with PS3 DAO CE) PC DAO for free. (and I had a point here, which I promptly forgot about. Maybe that I've been quite happy with it, probably due to the way I was introduced to it).
  19. Besides, it's better to be a troll than a fascist.
  20. I decided that with the included authenticator and all that, I'm getting enough value out of it. Still, the FO3 CE is still my favourite one from the "loot" point of view. Love that lunchbox. ;D Also, headache, back pains and all other kinds of weird stuff today. I need my body to hold together for another month or so, then I can start working out again regularly (when this book is finished).
  21. I assume you've never read a "manifesto" from one of these lunatics before? I mean, back in the good old bad days, with the red brigades, N17 and all that, you at least got a good helping of marxist theory on the side of the madness. Made for a lot more rewarding reading. And "highly educated" :D, but thankfully my (actually) learned colleague already covered that.
  22. That's admirable, but when a one-bedroom flat costs roughly what lawyer's entire net income for 7-8 years represents, a lot harder to achieve.
  23. Notsureifserious. Considering they are (still) slow-tracking a patch for DAO, I think that another DA2 patch is more than likely - of course, I'm not aware with any known issues, so they might not. They aren't distributing the DLC via steam (or if they are, it's news to me), so unless it requires a new patch, it wouldn't require anything on steam's part. At any rate, I wouldn't describe a game that had (IMO more than pretty decent) DLC released for it yesterday as being "done".
