It could be related to my particular research subject, but it's almost inevitable that you'll screw up something. It's also unlikely that anyone else will notice... :D

I dunno, raw size probably doesn't help much, but strength training is definitely useful, as you tend to lug around a pretty serious amount of loot. Norway still has conscription, but I haven't read one way or the other about Breivik's involvement in it. Some of the craziest militarists I know went conscientous objectors from sheer laziness, so, everything's possible.

Mark Vanderloo. As has been mentioned a dozen times in this thread and everywhere THEY ARE NOT GOING BACK AND CHANGING THE APPEARANCE OF YOUR CHARACTER. This is the default for new players, or those who want to change the appearance of their character, NOTHING MORE.

Was at a party with the most stuck-up bunch of nurses I've ever met. Left early, but had a good Montecristo before with some Bushmills, so wasn't an utter loss.

Deus sure as hell ain't pronounced deius by anyone able to actually speak a language that is not English. It's latin dude. Nobody really knows. Google says 'deɪ əs ɛks ˈmɑ kə nə' If anyone here remembers their phonetics course, that's what I said. Excepting that I didn't use proper symbols. The ****. You know that latin is the official language of Vatican. It's not like we are speculating on a dead language here, ffs. And it's not like my dad's a retired latin professor.

The marketplace didn't think there was a crisis in mortgage securities either until the whole thing collapsed. I'd say financing 40% of your budget through borrowing with no end in sight is a crisis, and that's even before social security and medicare turn to deficits instead of surpluses. Well... and this is silly... we wouldn't be in this position if the same people pushing us towards a default hadn't blocked moves to try to raise revenue via tax increases on the top 3% Why don't we increase taxes on you instead? Why do people always assume someone else needs to pay for them? 'coz even Adam Smith understood the advantages of progressive taxation. I don't mind paying taxes. I mind people with more money than I have spending a part of the money on corruption, so that politicians will give them tax cuts.

Also, there's apparently a secret boss in Legacy - one I completely managed to miss.

Why is it that they don't marry with other immigrant residents if there are so many of them? 'coz there's no welfare in the "old country". And what do you people get out of this? More ways to spend out tax money. But yeah, it's less of a religion based thing, and more related to a general cultural thing. I'd say that kurds have assimilated a lot better than, say, the somalis. Kurds have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, so even if they mostly keep to themselves, they're strongly motivated to learn the language and have a great respect for education and working hard. Means that if they occasionally kill girls who go out with local guys, they still cause a lot less mayhem than those who consider spending your days chewing khat the best thing ever.

I wouldn't necessarily say so. Doubt people here act the same way when asking a question. Ask a clarifying question and then get "Why do you care about that? That's not the problem" as a response, heh. This playing with a knife at work thing is pretty cool though. Oh ok. I was thinking more along the lines of "you don't give me the respect I deserve, giggle". But I kind of see your point. I don't giggle or cackle. I'm more like this:

I have the expensive 360 version with the Jensen figure pre-ordered, despite the game having such pointy knees. I actually decided to skip the CE. I might have even skipped the PC aug ed, if I hadn't preordered it from Amazon last year and wouldn't get it for an absurdly low price. I was thinking about my game spending habits after the discussion earlier today. I came to the realization that games are generally fairly uniformly priced across the Eurozone. Yet Finland is one of the most expensive countries in the world. So I can kind of buy 2-3 copies of a game without blinking because I couldn't even get drunk for the same amount of money...

I'm fully patched. From what I remember in DA:O, revenants were one-man armies that ditched out a ton of damage, were immune to pretty much all magic and had a very high armour rating. This is pretty much all gone... I can easily paralyze them this time around but even without they are not much more dangerous than a generic elite opponent. Then again, they also seemed to be special boss enemies in the first game that only appeared after breaking a special phylactery. Now they're just regular enemies. Yeah, well, if you run into Beacon and Gifre, it's probably going to feel a bit different. Hopefully.

Good practice for this forum...

You have too much money. No, you're just cheapskates!

Meanwhile, I have preordered the Nordic edition for PS3 and the Augmented edition (from amazon uk) for PC.

I'd be very pissed if I moved to America and they told me I had to move to a small town outside a city I wanted to live in, because the immigrant quota was filled. Well, if you were moving to a suburb with, say, 95 % scandinavians or nordics, it might be a good idea. Otherwise, not necessarily so much...

Revenants bugged pre 1.03 at least, are you patched? Also the default difficulty is the "console normal", they no longer have separate difficulties for PC and console, so it's generally worth bumping the difficulty by at least one notch if you want the game to anticipate the fact that 3/4 of your party aren't running on AI alone. Apart from that, pretty much agree with your impressions.

Actually, to paraphrase a professor of mine... a liberal western democracy cannot accept those, whose views are an antithesis to it (whether fascists, jihadists etc.) without, eventually, ceasing to be a liberal western democracy. When the society no longer has shared values, it stops being a society. We already see the first signs of that, here...

1) Yes, there is a separate post-campaign save for the DLC, just like in DAO and (even more so in) ME2. 2) I think I answered this one, I'll say it again, slowly: it's a separate flashback, like all of the other "acts" in the game. So it's kind of a mini act. You timeskip to a separate spot in the time/space continuum. There's some good loot and cash there, so you are kind of shafting yourself if you don't have them during the final stages of the game (which at least on the difficulties I play were easier than this DLC, so YMMV.). 3) Yes! Don't overthink it! It's not serious biznezz

As if there weren't awesome driving games. Have you tried Carmageddon, Flatout, NFS: Most Wanted, Burnout: Paradise? Interstate 76. Seriously. Nothing that awesome has been released in the last 10 years. Deathtrack is still the best car game of all time. I think that came out 20 years ago? Still play it regularly on dosbox. Though I have to say, I found NFS:Hot Pursuit quite a bit of fun.

See, I'm not the only one who can play martyr here. I'm personally skeptical of multiculturalism, especially when it means integrating a culture where, say 95 % unemployment and polygamy are the first things that need to be accepted... However, I feel that when discussed on a macro level, it definitely has a strong connection to xenophobia, since it opposes diversity in general, and not bending over and abandoning core tenets of your society to appease a minority. So we're kind of back to my usual stance, I can't say multiculturalism is GOOD or it's BAD, more like a little bit of it is really good, but embracing it wholeheartedly, without criticism, allowing everybody to do their thing, except with a government-sponsored Western European standrad of living... no thanks. And, like I said when I mentioned fascism before, it is just a belief in a certain type of totalitarian society, if I wanted to just label someone, I'd use "nazi" like you did. ;P Also, shouldn't really post after having just woken up, doesn't make much sense, but then that's not really a requirement in this thread, is it?
