Might not be a shooting with guns, but in 2009 there was a girl with 10 molotow cokctails in Bonn: http://www.spiegel.de/panorama/justiz/vereitelter-amoklauf-von-schuelerin-frauen-koennen-auch-aggressiv-sein-a-624246.html She got stopped by another girl who accidentally ran into her in the ladies restroom. The surprised girl then attacked her with a knife and cut off a thumb while doing so (doc was able to reattach it, luckily). But wait, this probably was a boy who pretended to be a girl. Can't be anything else, no? Or it doesn't count because the worst was prevented? Anita Sarkeesian is a horrible person. Also this one: http://yle.fi/uutiset/prosecutor_pair_planned_to_kill_50_at_university_with_guns_and_gas/7262776 Clearly it was the man's idea. Actually, it was the other way around, but I CBA to find a link for it in English. I was making a joke. I know.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but Keep open beta starts on the 29th.

TBH, he's right on plothole.

I've been scrolling through those threads for a while now. Aimlessly, indifferently... It was worth it. Don't worry lad. In real life she's probably a colossal pain in the arse. Would be a refreshing change from the fence posts, I'm sure.

Meanwhile, I am no longer annoyed I can't watch the late Sunday (or in my case early Monday) game: http://www.canalstreetchronicles.com/2014/10/24/7062935/final-saints-injury-report-kihry-robinson-pierre-thomas-ruled-out Reads to me like they're written off that one and are saving all the guys with niggling injuries for the division game at Carolina.

You guys lead boring lives... so double post, re Halloween party costume:

*ducks* They're going to have ducks in the next AC game? Well crap, I might have to violate my rule against yearly franchises. Couldn't have the french revolution without the ducks in the seine.

I must not be very smart, because I can't make head or tail of this flow chart one bit...where does it start, why isn't everything connected, what's going on For a flow chart, it certainly doesn't seem to flow. That chart, the wage gap and the 1 in 5 women will be raped, makes me believe that feminism and statistical analysis don't mix well. Of course they don't, women can't grasp statistics, correlation or causation. Interestingly, one of the sexiest women I know is an economist/statistician. :D Have you checked if she is a woman? Yes

I think he's currently down as "additional voices" (as is jennifer hale), he tends to do vorcha/darkspawn type stuff outside of his more recognizable work.

This is really deep and ****, but today I actually got a bunch of work done after suspecting mon through wed that I've burned out. Could've been the fact its payday, but... Now crashed out at the computer, gathering the strength to do some serious soup to tide me over the weekend.

While the example used is, indeed, hilariously bad, I'm not ready to go quite that far just yet.

Drama and games journalism, soggy leg joint edition

I feel that these SJW's aren't really feminists. It's just a title they've given themselves to be holier-than-thou. The situation with TFYC is proof that helping women get into the gaming industry isn't a goal of theirs. They're just a clique of hipster douches who want to be considered intellectuals, but don't want to bother learning what they're talking about. It's unfair to hold feminism in disdain based on these people. We've already seen with the Factual feminist and TFYC that these pretenders don't represent actual feminism. I wish I could agree with your sentiment, but Hoff Sommers has been attacked for her "antifeminit viewpoints" by those claiming to be "real feminists" (the one's I'd liken to the group Volo is talking about) for way longer than GG has been around. -
Apart from the absurdity of having a Sunday night team also play Thursday, it also means I'm going to be unable to watch two games in a row live.

Time for changes in the writers' pit. Keep Kristjanson and Weekes. Edit: Patrick Weekes wrote Iron Bull, to whom I suspect that quote is going to be attributed. Oh dear. BSOD.

I think somebody confirmed it in the last thread. Hack and slasher rejoice over this regression from beautiful PNP style quest xp to farming The previous games in the franchise featured quest xp? Interesting, I didn't know that. I had an "IIRC" moment re: DA2, but looks like I was wrong. I think my views re: the mission/quest exp model are well known. :D

I think that's going to be their excuse when they don't show up on Sunday.

Stay classy, failclowns.

While I agree with the concept that Icewind Dale is little outside its combat, I'm not sure how adding an optional low difficulty mode is "stripping out the combat and challenge of IWD". You'll certainly still have that, and they might pull in a few more buys from casuals - or people who don't cherish the thought of the required level of micro on a tablet.

You consistently ass-pull the most amazing dragon age complaints. You're definitely not with the chantry or the templars. I have no idea why you should be neutral, either.

That's what I would refer to as a normal level of empathy. The hand-wringing and crisis groups for people who are not affected in any direct or indirect way by an event... Yeah, sign of the collapse of the western civilization. Now, if you didn't even feel "bummer" and felt the need to continuously flaunt it... then I'd go with a "personality disordeer characterized by enduring antisocial behavior, diminished empathy and remorse, and disinhibited or bold behavior" (ie. psychopathy).
