  1. Improvements: A zip line version that can be attached to a stem scaffold - This will allows us to easily adjust the a height of the zipline, attach a network of ziplines into one centralized node with less clutter and it looks structurally sound with longer ziplines. I think this can be done by just resizing the existing zip line mount and adding snapping points to it. Since we cannot move stuff yet in the game, I think we need to be able to check first if we can connect the zipline nodes together without constructing it (still in blueprint mode). Burgle Upgrades: Motorized Pulley System - I know later in the game electricity will be introduced and this will lead to other upgrades. Transport Pulley - Allows us to transport items in bulk (including us :D). Elevator - Why not? Currently I am happy with the addition of ziplines into the game. I recently also learned that you can use the ziplines while holding planks which at first I thought was not possible because you need two hands to use the zipline. But I really think that the list of improvements is a must to make base building more fun.
  2. I wanted to that too but I do believe that the grass plays a big role in the game. They actually serve as radars for large creatures. Everytime I see grass moving, it only means two things ( well for now until obsidian introduced new large creatures) a ladybug or a spider which makes the experience more engaging. I just enjoy using bombs to farm grass planks . I would prefer the grass not growing back when the stump is not removed and just place clay foundations over it to make my own path walk. It's like walking on eggshells for me after cutting a large patch of grass where I must resist doing anything else near it or even avoid fighting insects in the area. If insects spawns faster now in this recent patch I do believe grass should still spawn back since you can accidentally kill them permanently. The respawn mechanic should be changed back the way it was before this patch or to what I just mentioned above that grass will not grow back if the stump is not removed. Oh I will try this !! Thank you for the info!!!
  3. This is actually making me go nuts...I cannot farm plant fiber through grass now. . .
  4. I am very careful cutting grass now and no bombs for me XD
  5. I think we need the ability to regrow the grass. The longer we play the game, grass density will start to decay because of insects fighting in the background, we accidentally cutting grass stumps or using bombs to fight bugs or gather planks.
  6. Totally agree on this. We need to have more arrows per craft. When I saw the materials to craft the feather arrows, I really thought it has the same function as a grappling hook because it had spider web in its crafting cost :D. After testing, its just a regular arrow with a crow's feather attached lol. Very true. Currently combat lacks evasive movement and for that reason, I prefer to use range combat. Kiting in this game is a must since it is the only dodge mechanic we have in the game. This is the first time I've heard kiting is an exploit.... I like the idea that creatures should have a way to recover their hp. A lot of games have this mechanic and should be a standard in modern games. The HP recovery from lost aggro is an ancient mechanic and should be totally abandoned specially in survival games.
  7. I am more afraid of this sound than the wolf spider lmao
  8. We definitely need the time and compass on our hud. This will help us focus more on the task we are doing without having the need to stop and check the time and direction we are heading. Maybe it can be an upgrade for our scab through burgle just like the RS detector.
  9. True! We should be able to make more arrows out of it since it is one big feather after all. Maybe we should be able to harvest two types of material from it, one common material for crafting the arrows and one rare material for crafting the head gear and bed.
  10. Found them too in those areas and I was just farming weed stems and clay. I have more than 10 feathers now without even trying to chase the bird. It is easier to find the feather around the anthill and the western desert area because they are open areas.
  11. I believe so. There are new bugs in the game right now so maybe it glitch through the floor. Currently, you can only place trail markers on the ground. Boulders. grass floors and other surfaces is a no go for trail marks.
  12. The feather is like clay that you still have to gather the materials after breaking it. Just look around after harvesting it.
  13. I believe they are using a different software for editing stuff in the game and all other developers from other games do this. If the game developers allows us to change the terrain, remove boulders and stuff, we can easily manipulate how the bugs roam the backyard without any penalty. I am sure that in the future updates, we are going to have more buildable stuff and be able to make our own terrain with them. This will be more viable and balanced because bugs can penalize us for blocking their path by destroying the objects we built. The abilty to manipulate terrain is something that I have never seen in any multiplayer game except minecraft. I do not play minecraft but I have seen videos where players make holes underneath the spawn area of mobs to kill them from fall damage or just trap them. And if we have that feature in grounded, I will be sending those nasty spiders to oblivion everytime they spawn in . Oh one more thing, you can actually glitch floors and walls through static objects to close gaps. You just need to hover your floor/wall on a place where it is buildable then swiftly drag it to the spot you want it and then press the build button. This is kinda finicky but you will be able to replicate it easily once you have done it for the first time.
  14. I get what you mean. The developers will just have to customize these resource nodes to have different stages when struck a number of times and get different materials per broken layer. The only game that I can think of having the concept you are suggesting for grounded is minecraft and that is easier to do in that game because the terrain is literally made out of pixels with different materials.
  15. I get what you mean. In fallout 76 and due to the number of bugs and glitches in the game, players combine items to make new furniture lol. I wanted to use the square foundations as supports for my storage area instead of the grass walls, but the game does not allow us to construct a grass floor half way inside the square foundations.
  16. This will be an easier way to close the gaps instead of asking the developers to make wall or floor adjusting to the shape of the gap which I think will be very complicated. It is similar to the foundations that we can sink into the ground/boulder to adjust the height or length. With the new update the developers modified the stairs so it can now be sunk into the ground (to allow it to snap to a sunken foundation) with the same material cost. I am simply saying that in real life, if there is gap we have to close it regardless of the shape. We do not have to imitate how things are done but simply grasp the idea of it which is closing the gaps. The material cost is not that important since there are grass planks and dandelions scattered all over the map. Shaping the land will depend on what kind of terrain they used or engine. I know that there are games that you can do this stuff but based on my experience playing grounded at its current stage, I do not think it is possible. The terrain will be static and all we can do is add items above it. New resources can be easily added into the game like a clay laying on the ground.
  17. I agree with this. We should be able to build walls or floors through the static items in the game to close the gaps/holes in our bases. It is not a game breaking feature but it actually adds a more realistic base building because in real life we can do these things. We just need an undo button to delete the additional wall/floor we accidentally added inside a static object that we cannot select and remove.
  18. You will always have the choice if you want to restart the game or not. But since the game has a story line, I would love to start from scratch again after sometime just to see the other details that I missed on the first run. I plan to restart again when the major patch to have a better experience of the story. You only need a small base tbh for you to play and finish the game. One mushroom farm and one sap dew collector is more than enough for you to survive the game. I have played some of the Obsidian games like Icewind dale and neverwinter nights 2. Both of those games lets you have multiple allies and that is why I really liked it. But the tamable creatures that I am only suggesting are the ladybug and ant workers to simply assist us on base building and moving stuff plus clearing up the clutter as you will miss a lot of stuff on the ground. Currently the game does not have a decay timer on the items lying on the ground and I just added that feature with the tamable worker ants just to keep things cohesive with the game's concept. These tamable helpers are actually more of an endgame thing when you finished the story line. They will help you a lot if you are making multiple bases to gather materials on different biomes. Some people may not like having allies but I think having them is better than nothing. Just think of it as a class system that gives you the option to chose how you would like to play the game. The more options you have to longer you will be playing the game.
  19. I saw a youtuber suggesting that we should be able to move stuff after building them and I am sure that it will be a feature in the future patches. So I am assuming that we will be able to actually move our storage chests from one place to another. It will be really cool if we can train ladybugs to be able to carry these chests and serve as a caravan that we can travel around and sleep with stuff that we need. This can also be a way to help us move items from camp to camp and be vigilant of what might ambush us on the way. Multiple lady bugs would be nice and the more we have the more bugs will be attacking us as we traverse the backyard. Since we are able to gather ant eggs and actually force them to hatch by just dropping them, there should be a way for us to train them and help us gather stuff on the ground. We can assign these ants to a certain type of container and start gathering stuff that we got lazy to pick up because we are too busy chopping grass planks for our bases, bug parts lying on the ground killed by another bug and arrows that we can no longer see because we died before picking them up. This will also help reduce lag in the game if there is too much stuff on the ground. These ants can also help us pick up the grass planks, clay and other future building materials and bring them back to the storage they are assigned to. I like playing survival games from the start again to actually feel survival aspect of it. Having these two features will encourage me more to start all over again since I do not have to worry about the daunting number of materials I have to gather to make my base on a new location. This will also give me a reason to make large bases to house my trained insects because having a large base does not make any sense to me if its function is only for sleeping and storing stuff. Kudos!
