  1. Maybe Lonesome Road will start after the player talked to House, so he is far enough into the main story to know what is going on.
  2. The skill points economy *is* ****ed up already. I am pretty sure that I will be able to max out the rest of my not-yet-100 skills with the next dlc, and even if not, the next one will do it then. I personally think it's not *that* worse now. We can't change it anyway and have to live with it. The real problem is that skill checks will be nullified due to this. After all, what worth are skillchecks, if you always win them.
  3. Yeh, but Dead Money got released in the evening, I think. I doubt it will be much different with the other DLCs, so I will have only a few hours to play until I need sleep again, which is bad. Very bad. :> Yeah! :> But on the other hand, I am happy they have done it, because I am not really happy with my mod. It somehow doesn't live up to the standard I try to hold. :> That's why I don't use any mod that adds new clothes. There just aren't many good ones and I will not add unfallouty heresy to my FNV. Heh, fancy enough that the game doesn't need a million mods to make it feel more like a Fallout game. :> Also MCA tweeting about DLCs:
  4. Wonder how many noobs will whine about Old World Blues being a Portal 2 ripoff. :> Tensed to see the dlcs and I am really happy they follow each other very close then. What I hate a lot is the 17th to be the date. Thats a tuesday once again and I need to go to bed pretty early, due to workday the next day... But I'll guess one can't have everything. :> /Edit: And the Lonesome Road dlc will most likely make my Ulysses clothes mod invalid, oh noe!
  5. I don't really think so, as it's possible to control the ai range of (town)npcs, as well as all other. So it's not like they would go rampage randomly into the wide world. And if it comes to enemies or other hostile stuff... well, easy solution: Don't place them near towns. :> And as quest npcs in Bethesda games are invulnerable anyway, I don't think it would influence any quests as well. About Morrowind... I don't know, maybe the Xbox was good enough to run it well or the game just didn't had that many npcs running around in the towns and not as much objects to render (though, it also had a limited sight range with fog in the distance, unlike Oblivion which had a LOD system for the distance instead).
  6. It's not impossible, but it will require more power to run smooth. The only reason why they are walled at all is the performance... See Fallout New Vegas' New Vegas. Even though the location is super small, they needed to place walls in between to split it up, else consoles would have died. Removing the turf on pc, I see no problems here. But well... console players. :>
  7. Yes, I see them sitting in their offices, thinking "damn, we don't want det derty money, eh!"
  8. Funny enough, it's the first time I really want to give Bethesda my money. But they don't want it. Hurr durr.
  9. I really hope we will get some news soon. Waiting for weeks now, it's really getting silly. Wasn't that Utah event last week? I thought they will release a new trailer after this, but I'll guess I was wrong.
  10. Does any non-american care about this? I know that I don't care and most likely never will. Also I can't understand why everyone is going party in america, just because that dude got killed. Seriously, it's not like he was Hitler and had konzentration camps in the US of A.
  11. Heh, to post about something more positive: Beside the crashs and freezes, I have been able to play the game already a bit with the new weapon changes, etc. and I have to say, it feels really good. Some enemies now are more dangerous than before and the weapons I tested so far, feel much more smooth in combat. Also for the very first time, I really active switched ammo from default to something more effective. What really has been obvious to me is the Brush Gun. With normal .45-70 Gov't loaded, a bunch of fiends at vault 3 totally pwned me... but when I switched to Hollow Point, it was BAM, dead, BAM, dead... (always in the head, without VATS) :> Also I like that the Brush Gun is a bit slower now. Makes it feel better as well. At least for me... Now I am tensed to test out the minigun again.
  12. Damn, I think my savegame is somehow corrupted. I've loaded a different character and there the game does not crash in combat, so it must have something to do with my current game... Will install an additional Windows XP now + all Updates, to see if something changes. Maybe the freezes will stop then... hopefully.
  13. Yes, done like that and reverse, even typed in manually with "prid ..."etc. It didn't worked. And now I think it's not only a problem with glowing ghouls. Just entered Freeside again, some hostile npc tries to attack me and the game crashs. Hooray.
  14. "kill" doesn't seem to work, but "killall" does. Then the game does not crash anymore... but all my companions are dead as well. :> /Edit: I simply teleported myself out of there now. It's still bad. Also I saw other things in my savegame that aren't right: The new fence on the Freeside bus gate are only visible from one side for me (but in the GECK all is correct), also the lamp posts outside of the Crimson Caravan are active even at day, etc. Damn, don't want to start a new game yet. /Edit
  15. Damnation, since the new patch, glowing ghouls are crashing my game when they do their magic wall of radiation. And if I am in VATS mode while they attack, it fries my system and I have to perform a hard reset... That's really not cool, especially because I am in Vault 34 and everywhere around me are glowing ghouls. Tested with and without mods already, it's always crashing. Anyone got any idea what I could try? Is it possible to deactivate their second attack mode via the GECK? That seems to be the only solution I can see right now...
  16. Lexx replied to Humodour's topic in Computer and Console
Finished it today. I think the ending was great. The middle / half of the game was a bit meh and somehow too long or too much the same... but the ending is done very well once again.
  17. There is some fancy FNV concept art stuff to find. Nice.
  18. Huh, even Josh is a "contributing artist"? Hope as well, that we will get to see lots of photos 'n stuff.
  19. I didn't even knew you can and I played the game at least 9 times-- with always a somewhat different ending.
  20. I am pretty sure it wasn't when I first checked it.
  21. Looks like Obsidian is a few devs lighter. /Edit: Hah, it's even posted here. Guess I should go out more... I'm too much fixed on "Computer and Console" board.
  22. Looking at the screens, I'll guess the player starts out in NY, finds out something horrible about what the bad dudes are doing, just to follows them then to S
  23. Well, you can set your steam game not to be updated automatically.
  24. Yeh, but will never happen. Wonder if there will be a day, where I can import my own heightmap or create lipsynch files without a hell of workarounds.
  25. But this contradicts with what was written in that one article. It was said that Portal 2 might have been the last game with extra singleplayer mode, so this would mean that the next game might have coop right in the singleplayer campaign. I hate this focus on mp. In most cases, mp is just boring / annoying / without any real atmosphere.
