Took 5min to find ant eggs. They don't drop from ants. They are laying on ground in an underground area of the no name anthill surrounded by soldier ants. Very easy to see but very easy to walk past and fall in hole. If you see hotdog bits, you fell in hole.

I never mentioned crits. I never mentioned larger bugs. Just saying

I had the same issue. Got 34 lady bug parts , no heads. West side of map there's a large poison can with long wand attached. Killed 4 lady bugs in this area, got 4 heads so far. You need gas mask tho.

Anyone cut this thing down yet? I tried pebble axe and insect axe. Mint hammer is 3rd tier... Anyone found 3rd tier axe?

My first two wolf spider kills were with a bow and eyepatch. Had to terrain trap them then unload. Then made insect bow. Life is pipe with insect bow. QoL is up greatly. With aphid shoes , I just strafe and shoot. What Wolf? lol Next time I login I'll be testing out mint hammer.

There are two anthills I've seen. Make sure you are not in the abandoned one. Aphid shoes make it extremely easy. I really ran past every ant with no issues. Inside the proper anthill, as you travel downward, there's one big area with a hole in the floor. Don't fall in. I found 4 eggs next to the hole covered by a crowd of soldier ants. Ran in, picked them up, ran out. I got hit 1 time whilst I was mining rocks

A shield would be cool to look at while playing. That would need to be repaired as well though. Having a shield feels more action/adventure. Fighting big enemies and plowing through large groups. Strategy/survival is more avoiding most battles, killing when necessary and maintaining gear and resources. Yes, I would use a shield. I would have 2 at a time, barely ever repair armor (if I even need to wear it) and have no need to run from most enemies. Face tank everything.

Limb damage and headshots are almost always a thing. Since this is a game preview and not the full game, the full damage system features may not have been included.

Yup. You'll laugh at spiders. I had problems avoiding them as well. I can't believe I played 8 hours before building. Smdh. I have gear to decimate spiders now 🤣 Good luck

Tutorial is a bit vague. I guess it's for those who play a variety of games. Open inventory and go to crafting to see items you can build. My advice, collect 10 of everything. Pebbles are your friend. You can always drop stuff later

Aphid shoes. 2 aphids , 10 red mites. No more spider issues
