EOY Reviews today, yay, hate these things. I don't drink, so I guess I miss out on things, but never really understood why people get hammered. Been around them when they do, as you can imagine it's not a pretty sight. Although a drunk coworker crying asking "Why do you hate me, man?" was rather amusing.
Went to see MI, sold out so we saw Sherlock Holmes : A Game of Shadows. Was a pretty entertaining movie, the weird theoretical fighting was cool but a bit overused as was the slowmotion at times and the ending could have been better if all his work ended up for naught in the end, but still, would recommend it.
Only managed to get the game installed last night, heh, couldn't log in the first time as I missed their need to have my contact information. Looking forward to kicking around with my agent tonight, woo.
Went a bit overboard and got : PS:T, both Crusaders, WC 3 and Privateer, Caesar III, DK2, Runaway, Haegemonia, GC2, Tropico and SMAC.
Not a bad way to blow $50.
Caesar IV, paying for my poor planning. Every rating's at 100 except for Culture and Prosperity, Culture requires things that need more equites than I have, but plonking down housing for them without the necessary services causes the ratings to get worse. And the map's got hills all over. Might have to destroy an entire area of the city and start over.
Should give Civ V a go too, I think. Never got taken with it when I first played it, something felt kind of bland and un-fun about it at the time.
Productive day, for a Monday not bad. Nothing like realising that problem you have trouble solving isn't that hard once you've solved it.
Right now am watching some Tribes videos and marveling at their skills.
We've never been very consumerist with our Christmases - well unless you think ANY gift giving is that. Normally get a person what they need and maybe one thing they'll enjoy. Means I'm going to get shirts and pants for Christmas, hmm. Very small affair too, which is kind of dull I suppose.
