  1. Can't find any in stores to make your own ? I see tonnes of strawberries in the groceries here. Dubious quality mind you, but still present. Reminds me we have some from 2 years ago in our freezer. My family members always fall in love with a foodstuff then buy a lot and then forget it before they use it all up...
  2. Yep, wasn't wholly joking - math is repetition The way they teach it in Canada is a bit of a mess, at least in terms of when they start certain subject matters - Calculus here in last year of high school is ridiculously late, for example.
  3. Time to put the support inbox email to good use (they seem to block free email addresses). I'll spare everyone else the trouble and chuck it on a share later today. But for KP's question Something amusing about KSA being so low there Also
  4. I wrote I am not sure if it is, 53 nations involved and only 50k surveyed, I wasn't very good in statistics so while I can assume it's not a wank sample size that'll be an assumption. Not sure what my supposed preconception is, either. But as for non-Americans commenting on US affairs, is that what you consider preoccupation ?
  5. Well, two non-Americans counts as multiple, yes. But the underlying poll ran off 50k, not sure if that's all that useful though. Sort of funny we don't have a statistician here, you'd think cRPGs would be right in their wheelhouse (then again, having to do their work outside of work may be unappealing).
  6. Spent the day trying to reproduce the unreproducible. So gave up and watched some dude dogfight in DCS.
  7. Well a very large sample size would be and a diverse one as well, is a lot of people to form a conclusion about. Don't think they are at all preoccupied with Americans or the USA, from the many I've dealt with. They'll talk about it or them if they're in the news but if that's the bar for preoccupation.. I don't really have tightly held preconceptions about Americans, myself. Hm, suppose they do get testy when you mock their nation though, more than others.
  8. As long as it's not coins, not a bad way to do it.
  9. Sort of a small sample size to be going off of, I mean, those people are doing the same thing. Nice that your ability to overmatch them in a physical contest is relevant, although is suitably American, I guess.
  10. Not sure CDPR has crashed that much.
  11. "In perhaps the most startling finding, nearly half (44%) of respondents in the 53 countries surveyed are concerned that the US threatens democracy in their country; fear of Chinese influence is by contrast 38%, and fear of Russian influence is lowest at 28%." Will have to look up the actual poll results by country later, curious how that goes. "Since last year, the perception of US influence as a threat to democracy around the world has increased significantly, from a net opinion of +6 to a net opinion of +14. This increase is particularly high in Germany (+20) and China (+16)." Surprised they'd care in China.
  12. Sid's book was a fun read but not very deep. I guess I was more interested in the actual development work he did but he just passes over working on games, which was a vain one as I doubt anyone would remember much to that degree. At least finally figured out where MPS Labs came from in my old MicroProse flight sims. Now on to something more brainless I liked Honourbound by the same author, so should be enjoyable. Perfect set up for the next book about Stalingrad (I really have a lot of Russian focused books...)
  13. Well, no wonder it's popular.
  14. HW3's being worked on by BBI and they are led by ex-Relic fok so might not be too bad. Deserts of Kharak was enjoyable to me, others will vary, but that's what we have to go on. In FM18, ever so slowly making Brno pure Serbian - 5 of 11 starters are Serb
  15. Not quite sure that's going to work well with semi-auto weaponry.
  16. "He says he never meant to become a Flat Earther, he just found that when he thought over the evidence for a round planet, he wasn't convinced."
  17. Epic vs Apple trial has some interesting trivia. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2021-05-04-document-reveals-how-much-epic-paid-for-each-free-game-on-its-store-up-to-sep-2019
  18. Some people like being contrarian. Some people are also just stupid.
  19. Not sure if this intended, but a good joke with the thread title.
  20. With the concern over J&J was sort of funny to read some advocate saying they should give it to the homeless here. It makes sense, mind you.
  21. You forget what forum you're on.
  22. Typewriters, PS/2 ports....lot of hipsters here. Well of course I say this as I refill my fountain pen.
  23. Hopefully the characters bicker amongst themselves and insult each others' mothers.
  24. This is why I want more MTX in games
