I am reading some Tacitus while listening to a Nightwish EP.

Let us look at the pictures from the MMO and then consider these: Step forward my ass.

I do not recall anyone asking for photorealizem Dagon, nor was anyone suggesting that it would be a good idea to use cutting-edge technology. However, I would like to know what exactly you find "good" about the graphics and why you think they are a step forward rather than a leap backwards for KotOR.

I'm reinstalling Oblivion and a few mods, although I'll probably end up removing it by the end of the week.

Appealing to who though? So far I've only heard from people who do not like the style.

The cartoonish look is what they're going for, so I guess it's part of that.

Well, I do agree that graphics are not everything - but in this case they are stylized in such a way that I think it makes the game look ridiculous.

And why exactly does it look better than WoW? The graphics are crap in that and the graphics look like crap in "The Old Republic."

I guess I am not one of those people as I find that art style, in general, abhorrent.

So I guess they think only cartoons can be run on old PCs.

I doubt that making it in a more "realistic" style -id est the other two KotOR games- would task people's PC too much.

The Title is "Star Wars: The Old Republic" and it looks like it's going with the cartoonish, WoW-like graphics.

And it's the MMO.

Now, actually. It's a 2pm press conference. They are announcing it right now. And what is it and where can we hear/read the news?

I'm playing through TSLRP + DStoney's M4-78 (plus a crapload of other minor mods) just fine... Well the M4-78 mods was designed to work with TSLRP and DStoney has already said he will release another version if they become incompatible. I doubt Team Exile bothered to do that though, as their mod is designed as a rival to the Team Gizka mod.
