(like in any war) As to the exact numbers, they could be anything. I'm not a fan of Stalin's Russia in regards to its treatment of its own citizens but as far as the war effort is concerned, they did crush germany and didn't abuse the overwhelming power they had at the end of the war against the german population, even after every family lost a member. Shooting them is actually the lesser of two evils as the other Russian soldiers will burn them alive with molotov ****tails if you don't open fire. I liked the brutal depiction of the Russians invading Berlin. The only thing missing from the game was the mass rape of German girls and women for the glorious finale. You don't know what will happen the first time around, its not as though you can load a previous position in real life - hence the moral choice is existent. The rape was massively exaggerated, by the admittance of the personal secretary of Goebbels herself ("Where there was one case, we (broadcasted) three"). Personally, considering what the germans did on the territories of the Soviet Union its a surprise the Russians left anything alive in germany.

Yep. Besides this is hardly the first time the CoD series tries something like this. World at War had a similar episode where you could shoot cornered german pow's, and you could either kill them or simply do nothing. A pow is as defenceless as a civilian so the difference is not that great.

Funny that no one complained about shooting half of black africa in that Delta Force: Black Hawk Down rubbish. The body count beat Quake at certain points. Still you don't hear Africans bitching about it. Could be because they aren't going to be disturbed about something as trivial as a computer game.

The Witcher was the best thing that happened to RPG's since, Baldurs Gate II. Yes it was flawed as hell, but it had soul, the effort put into it shined thorought the game - and a total disregard for political correctness. That said, the first thing I noted when I finished playing The Witcher is that the fixed character is an idea with limited appeal. It might slide with the second game but by the time that's over it will be time for a change if the witcher is still an RPG by that time, and doesn't degenerate into a third person action game (I HATE quicktime events glaargh) . Everything looks nice in the video but the story, dialog and characters are what counts in the end, and I'd reserve any judgment until hey show us some more of it.

Manga art is bad because of its made with purely commercial intent and based on simplified template drawings, that are for the most part unoriginal and require little effort. Everyone can learn to draw manga even if they have zero talent, while no one can draw like Moebius even though a slew of good artists have tried to copy his style. That doesn't mean that there aren't genius Japanese artists, hell there are plenty of them. They just aren't in manga, and if they are its a sad waste of their talent to be constrained in such a weak style (or collection of styles) IMO.

Jack Kirby - often considered to be one of the founders of US comic book style (having not only been influential in superhero comics, but created the American Romance comic as well as doing work in the earliest horror comics) - could do 8-12 pages a day. Does that make him worse than Pratt? There are current comic artists in the US who can't even make a complete page in a day, are they better than Pratt? He drew superhero comics which are more or less at the same level as manga in terms of quantity/quality. Things have gone farther from the superhero genre you know. The point of that however was to illustrate that serious work takes great time and effort as a general rule. There are exceptions obviously.
