  1. I agree with the female ass theory, since I do it as well, but only if the game is so dumb that its unappealing to identify myself with the main character. Thus Id never play a female in BGII but I played a big boned, red headed frenzied berserker chick in NWN2,
  2. No wonder Maria didnt want to know ...
  3. Phyramid Head. I don't want to know what that says about me. Is that from Silent Hill? edit: Starwars answered it... I havent gotten around to playing SH2 yet.
  4. like homeworld, deus ex, and myth, the game has yet to be surpassed in its genre (if you define said genre somewhat narrowly) You know your games.
  5. They all pale next to Lilarcor. Hes got Motivation: "I don't know what you were expecting, but as a sword I'm pretty one-dimensional in what I want. " ... "What about now? Let's kill." Attitude: "Hands up, kiddies, who wants to die?" A Plan: "Advice, eh? Well, besides working a little on your swordsmanship. Besides that, I'd have to think. Hmmm... find someone rich, and kill them. Find someone richer, and kill them, too! Hack and slash you way to fortune! Woo-hoo! " What more do you need?
  6. I see Sarevok more as an amusing Space Marine type of character. He's so bad its good. Plus you get to have him in your party later on and (ab)use his capabilities. And if he didn't have the scar he might have just fooled somebody.
  7. The average age of a Youtube viewer is probably 15 years. The best villan could be Irenicus, or the Nameless ones practical incarnation, SHODAN, the guy from Bioshock or tons of others depending on what aspect of a villain intimidates you most.
  8. I must have missed it, like, three times. I'll read the wookiepedia entry, its bound to have three tomes + appendices of information.
  9. I was wondering where my whining imp got to. *waves to Volo* Now that you mention it I'd say he wasn't presented at all. You just kinda got to him and killed him not really knowing why except that he had the bad guy look. That and I wanted the mask. If DA bad guys are like that then *yawn*. Sarevok says: n00bz.
  10. I don't know squat about Dragons Age main quest, except that it was supposed to be a spiritual successor to the BG series and thus set my expectations sky high as far as the main quest is concerned.
  11. After spending way too much time playing games, you get to the point where you can see everything you need to know (95%of the time) after looking at a handful of screenshots. Thus, I wouldn't bet on it. I'm expecting nothing, so technically I can't be disappointed. I'm still waiting for the Homeworld of role playing games (or just Homeworld 3 if Relic is kind enough to get to it), and it looks to be a loooong wait.
  12. I don't really get that, his work on the Dragon Age mythos has been very solid. I even read his book and was surprised at how decent it was for a video game novel. He's repeating himself and running out of ideas. i keep having deja vu when playing post BGII games, probably because of the same sentence structures. Which is only natural after the amount of work he has to pull off each time. *sigh* It would be good to get some fresh blood in, its not as if Gaider and Avellone are the only writers out there who can write a story. I meant it in general. I didn't know whether he worked on ME or not. i assumed that he had a part in it at least,Now that I know he didnt I suggest that the writing team behind ME be drawn and quartered. @Maria: If the main quest of ME beats the main quest of DA it must be a sorry quest indeed.
  13. There is no Jennifer Hale. There's only Deionarra. *They really need to fire Gaider, he's burned out.
  14. As long as it doesnt go waaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!
  15. That wont be hard. So its not out yet... I'm blissfully ignorant of all things gamey but it wont last.
  16. So, does it suck as much as the last one?
  17. Why does everyone hate TOEE so much? The combat was fun and quite challenging... Dont see it being much worse than the IWD games.
  18. You've no idea. You can be but that's playing along and its no fun at all.
  19. "-Planescape: Torment: Probably the best writing in a game... ever! -Baldur's Gate I + Expansions & Baldur's Gate II" > stand head and shoulders above the competition. The worst is Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Dannor, and to think I stuck through to the end... I must be a glutton for punishment.
  20. I remember being so instantly hooked that I suffered through the 5 minute loading times and choppiness of the unpatched version all the way to the end. But not because of Geralt, more the depressingly pretty graphics and music in the beginning village and the vizima temple quarter. The everything is falling apart atmosphere of the game really struck a chord with me. I'm surprised you didn't find the humor and in jokes engaging at the very least.
  21. Avatar. Fun fun fun fun fun. It wont win no prizes for depth but its fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun. UP - ingenious. Pixar must have a deal with the devil. The Fall. A stuntman lies in hospital weaving a tale for a little girl, trying to trick her into getting morphine pills for him. The tale crosses over into reality and back, and the whole movie is a jaw dropping collection beautifully shot scenes. Let the Right One In. Swedish vampire drama/horor with the best child actors you can imagine. Best Vampire movie ever.
  22. I'm itching to participate and start a flame war but can't since I still refuse to play Dragon Age. Really Bos, failing to acknowledge that the Witcher had much more going for it than just the erotic stuff, whether you liked it or not, is complete pigheadedness.
  23. Yeeeess, another convert to my cause.
  24. He probably means the movies and the comics. The games were as good as it got at the time.
  25. No, you're playing the only one worth noting.
