  1. That's encouraging.
  2. Now I know why people become trolls. All the clever things I said, the mods took away to the scrap pile of history. One step closer to becoming Volo ...
  3. All true, looked in retrospect - which is quite unfair since they all derive their core gameplay from BG. For its time however, BG was much more successful at combining gameplay elements. The story was nice, the characters interesting, the combat good. Compared to it the rest all have things sticking out, and some like JE or ME are partly broken. First honest thing you said, ever. Sure lets ditch the rest of the pointless stuff and just put in a hoop and stick instead. That sure clears out any possible distractions.
  4. Yes, at least concerning the outcome of the original campaign. They didn't do it so much before, I dunno what came over them. You'll see anyway. @Volo: you keep tearing a hole in the universe by repeating that nonsense
  5. You're right, the overall gameplay was stupidity incarnate. Technically speaking Diablo had more options. Still the art direction was great, some of the characters were amusing and the plot wasn't too bad - so suffering through the gameplay wasn't all that difficult. I suppose I enjoyed it more than ME overall, because of the story.
  6. It was too short to form an impression. Always yanking you about places, then when you really start getting into it - you get to see the credits roll. But since I got it in a tin box for 5 euro I can't complain.
  7. @Killian: you might have dropped all expectations in games and joined the la la land of eternal fun, but don't be so harsh on us poor sods who haven't. Yet.
  8. Sorry I must have blinked and missed it.
  9. Epic is in the execution, not just in the idea. And you can either pull it off - or not. Eg: there was an intention for the plot of say NWN, to feel epic. It failed. @Purkake: I agree and its a proven thing, BG, Torment etc.
  10. I would be as well but I dont know how anyone would want to join Shepard in ME3 if he keeps on getting his people killed. I mean if the sh!t has hit the fan with the Reapers I'd rather spend my final days drunk somewhere with a woman than follow a dude who's the only one to come out of his own plans alive.
  11. I wasn't expecting a sequel I think Starcraft is like the only game to avoid that cliche.
  12. I think this will probably be the last entry in the series. I don't see how they can perpetuate such a limited setting.
  13. I think I'd be silenced for eternity if they allowed me not to save the world once, with REM's "Its the end of the world as we know it...", playing in the background. "... and I feel fine."
  14. I'll play it anyway. I hope they don't abuse the "protecting little sisters" thing too often lest it turn into an annoying gameplay mechanic. Fort Frolic was one of the best parts of Bioshock.
  15. Its not being made by the same guys?
  16. Women can create life. Everything great men do from writers to artists, from inventors to composers is an attempt do the same. Women will never be superior to men in those things because they lack mans fanatical drive to surpass the limits of his existence. They lack it, because its already solved for them.
  17. Bioshock wasn't really a game fit for a sequel, but playing the experimental daddy might be interesting
  18. But those aren't representatives of other races in any formal manner, they're thugs and psychopaths you spend a portion of the game collecting from various hell holes. As I understand it the entire operation is run by humans - Cerberus. The trailer is better than the short character ones though.
  19. 1. Run lest I throw my ranger at you 2. Run and play the best RPG ever made PS: ditch the content changing mods for BGII if you're playing for the first time.
  20. Run.
  21. The question was whether you actually played BGII at some point in time.
  22. What?
  23. Its not a conspiracy, just the ability of the US to impose its will on everyone else. Including the UN which is open to all sorts of pressures since the funds that it receives from the US are enormous, and their withdrawal would be detrimental to its functioning. Saddam's trial was a mockery, that ended with his enemies gloating over his hanging corpse. The only thing it did was that it turned him into a martyr for the Sunni muslims.
  24. Yeah I have the same feeling for some reason.
