The police caught one guy who had actually driven up from Winchester to get to London for the "looting"... But now they've actually doing things like evicting tenants from Council Houses who were involved in the riots and looting. Which could have some.. interesting fallout. But I guess it's one form off added "punishment". Punish individuals, not families.

I like how their characters looked in G1+2+Risen, except the women. PB just can't into women models, they always look weird. :> They had a rough look that was in tune with the "raw" appearance and atmosphere of the game world, especially in Gothic 1's convict camps. But that was back in the day, now when the game world looks all shiny, detailed and crisp I find those models look outdated and blocky. I love how people defend sh'art!

Hasn't Gothic series been stories about a nameless unlikely hero save an island/world? Also, I wonder if "consolization" hit this action RPG series as hard as it does some other works except the seamlessness of the world...oh, I guess I understand. Like the recent example below? Well, I have never been happy with the dialogues and story of Gothic series but there are not so many RPGs where a rogue-ish character fits the world like in Gothic series/Risen. I'm still in "let's see" area, though. mkreku doesn't like it when you point out his many flaws, it makes him upset, you don't want to see the strange man upset.

If you plan on playing Rage on 360 prepare for a... ... 22 Gig install! That's pretty horrific, utterly expected considering that basically RAGE is a massive texture streaming system with some game slapped on. I expect that kind of install to be the same across platforms. That's what you get if you don't want any loading screens. And i doubt ps3 will have that install. PS3 has install, how much is actually being negotiated. Carmack mentioned it in his keynote speech recently. It isn't actually about no loading screens, its specifically, the mega-texture approach. Everything had a unique texture - which some reuse when possible, but for the most part its a 128x128 image mapped to each small section of the world. While the technique is unique, I'm not convinced that its worthwhile, I'll see if I every play the game.
