First rule of using a firearm: Don't aim at anything you don't want to shoot. If they used proper firearm safety nobody would have been hurt.

If they had used them correctly there would have been no reason for anyone to be harmed.

Look at the statistics. Legally owned guns are used far more often in murders than in self-defense. I don't care how much you say you don't intend to harm anyone with it, it's not about *you*. It's about what's best for society. And people who murder are going to murder anyway. They don't need a gun to do it. If you think guns are the only way to kill people you're mistaken. If they're going to attack me what am I supposed to do?

Why is target shooting a "paltry" excuse. It's an activity I enjoy doing and there is no reason I shouldn't be able to do it. Maybe people shouldn't be able to cook. They have to use knives. Those were meant to be weapons.

Not many people around here are looking for exorcisms unfortunately. And if they were they'd probably go to Church or something. I think it's just easier to gather up our volunteers and scare people.

Why should I have no right to own something intended to hurt people if I never have and never intend to hurt someone with it?

If you have such little faith in humanity that you think the only way of inspiring people to do good things is faith, then I suppose you could view it that way. Personally, I'd rather not. It isn't the only way. But it can be a good way. Do you only ever do anything if it only has one way to do it?

Well, the only people I have been around who are drunk regularly are my mother and her husband, and they're drunk every day, so my experience with alcohol hasn't been the best.

These are two points I actually agree with him on. Immigrants don't need to be shot. They need easier ways in to make a living. Isn't that what capitalism is all about. Opportunities. And China is a dictatorship, it's not communist. Totalitarian does not automatically make it communist.

So they shouldn't have the freedom to be brutally oppressed by capitalism, but if it's communism doing it, well that's okay then.
