  1. Given your employer I'm not surprised. Hang in there, though. Actually, this particular run of ****tiness is not work-related. Yes, stuff is tense at work given that the agency is essentially being asked to keep doing the same quantity and quality of work (if not more), but with less money and fewer staff. And I am breaking in a new supervisor in the midst of all that. But this particular instance of personal stress is the kind of thing that puts the work stress in perspective. Short story is that the wife is about 5 months pregnant, and it looks very much like it's not going to end well. Some sort of problem in the placenta is suppressing the umbilical bloodflow such that the little guy just hasn't been growing. I'm sorry to hear that Enoch. I'm sure whatever happens you and the misses will make it through okay.
  2. Skyrim isn't out yet so no one but devs know how stable Creation is. ID Tech 5... see above posts about megatexture. Current ver. Gamebryo... nah. It's long overdue to be phased out.
  3. Me reading posts like this is like glimpsing into the future; should I stop pursuing my CompSci degree while I'm ahead?
  4. That infinite Undiscovery scene... wow.
  5. Whoops, browser crash. Anyway there's a utility I think for dosbox that helps prevent corrupted save data for daggerfall.
  6. Well if XSEED or someone else localizes it; I have a reason to buy a VITA.
  7. THIS JUST IN FROM HURRICANE LAND: I still have electricity. Huzzah! But man is it wet outside
  8. The funny thing is he was never against the big, bad publishers to begin with.
  9. Your market had water? I went there at opening time to beat the inevitable crowds and the shelves of milk were slowly being restocked. Water shelves were bare. Honestly since we're not near the shore the worst that'll happen is power outages for a few days, that and maybe a few downed trees causing damage.
  10. From what I understand, NJ guv' just declared a state of emergency not long ago. edit: voluntary evacuations for pretty much all shore areas. Holy clagnuts! Hope you guys are going to be OK. Thanks We've dealt with hurricanes before, though not often. I still have small recollections of what I think is Hurricane Andrew when I was young. I live on the western side of NJ close to the border of Pennsylvania and the now mandatory evacs are mainly for those who live on or near the ocean (as the eye of the storm is expected to hit Cape May). My house has plenty of water and canned goods just in the case the worst happens. I'm going to run out first in the morning to get batteries and a few other things. Other than that we'll just have to wait and see. Believe it or not; despite mandatory evacuations being called, some living in those areas think it's cool to "ride it out". Well, those who are doing so were given a good suggestion... This thread on reddit /r/NewJersey is good for anyone interested.

  12. No, you guys just freak out over an inch of snow
  13. Yeah I felt the quake too; bizarre occurrence here on the east coast. Happy B-day Hurlshot. I guess I won't have that problem seeing as how I can subtract five years from my appearance simply by shaving my facial hair off (I'm 22).
  14. So, uh, why exactly are Canucks supposed to be sad about this guy again?
  15. You know what's awesome about NJ? Pork roll (also called Taylor Ham), what a glorious food stuff.
  16. What for, I'm already getting free cookies. Yeah but for how long? Why get free cookies one day when you can get a steady supply over time.
  17. If Hellgate: London Tokyo can find success in Korea, I believe anything can.
  18. And it has a cartoony art style a la WoW. I give it five months.
  19. They got history, man.
  20. I've considered getting an account there for sometime, but I hear the movie streaming selection leaves something to be desired. Thoughts? It's kinda hit and miss. Many of the movies from a few years ago that were popular are unavailable, but several of the newer ones are entirely available. I'd probably end up getting it more for the TV shows. Pity. It sounded so promising, thanks for the info.
  21. Yay? I guess we might actually see some D&D games coming out "soon". Don't think Atari has published anything decent since NWN 2 expansions. BG3 & NWN3.
