I noticed they changed the plane to being shot down by a US missile now, so doesn't sound to me like it'll be a pro-American game, especially in light of what some developers said in the past about Bill Kristol and so on, but anyway the more political discussion should probably go to off-topic.

Those kids won't buy an RPG anyway. If someone wants a pretty action game, they're a dime a dozen, no need to look here. How many people say "Oh, that game was a classic because the graphics were so good."?

I care a lot more how good the RPG elements are going to be in this game, hopefully everything they're promising is true.

It's more difficult to develop for, so could take a lot longer, which costs money, which means the whole project could be canceled. At least leading on the 360, they know they can get that and the PC version done if worse comes to worse.

The answer to your question is that 360 is most likely the lead platform, thus the only version which currently runs. Whether that means the PS3 port will be inferior/take longer, I don't think anyone will know until it's much closer to the game's release. It's true that it's much easier to port from PS3 to 360 than the other way around, but that also means leading with the PS3 puts the whole project at much greater risk. Edit: Btw, 360 has a 3 yr warranty, have you tried to get MS to fix it? They're usually pretty good about that.

Finally finished Shivering Isles, so time to look for new games. Planescape Purgatorio demo and Mysteries of Westgate NWN2 mods coming out in the next few days, then there's Velvet Assassin which could be interesting, will have to read the reviews, both Op Flashpoint 2 and Arma 2 coming out Spring-Summer, look good so far, Batman: Arkham Asylum looks interesting, then Wolfenstein!, probably get IL2 Sturmovik as well, and in the fall of course AP and DAO hopefully, and may be even AOD! So for the first time in a very long time this year could be really good for games.
