  1. HL2 is a very clever game, Halo 3 is really dumb, the stupid Brute apes just mill around in the background and politely take turns attacking one by one. Nevertheless, it was quite fun most of the time, except the last two levels which ruined the game for me, not to mention shamelessly ripping off Halo 1. Also I like Oblivion and dislike MotB, and prefer to play on the Xbox, how uncool is that!?
  2. Aah, but it depends which Halo! And everyone loves HL2, whachu talkin' bout Willis?
  3. At least they're not rushing the game. But Christmas would be a terrible time to release it, it'll completely get lost in the shuffle. Oh well, looks like another year with nothing to play.
  4. Console ME almost certainly had a bug with texture loading, you could literally sit for seconds and wait for some objects to load, even the DVD can't be that slow. It seems like a similar problem to Oblivion, where if your HD cache gets messed up, you can wait for almost a minute every time you activate something. Also the Uncharted Worlds being big means nothing, since they were just repeating the same rock texture everywhere. Hopefully most of the early problems in UE3 have been fixed, and AP can do reasonably large areas with enough content. Every time they hype AP though I can't help feeling the final result can't live up to what they're promising. And when are they going to explain once and for all how the conversations will work?
  5. Ah, no, none of them can be, except by contorting all taste and logic.
  6. Seconded. But the whiners coming out of the woodworks are just part of the natural reaction any successful product has. It's the same reason people feel the need to complain about The Dark Knight. Coincidentally, it's also a natural reaction to a crap game, funny how that works.
  7. Ha, ha, quadcore. I'm pretty sure they said DAO is single-threaded in not so many words.
  8. I hear he's going to voice Atton in Kotor 3.
  9. The funny thing is the only difference between what Blago did and what every other politician does every day is he explicitly stated he wanted payment for political favors, instead of it being understood.
  10. Hmm, interesting, Japan is near the top, just the opposite of what I'd expect. Of course our debt has been going up dramatically last year and will almost certainly get much worse in the future.
  11. Nothing. Most projections show the US dollar won't collapse, and those that do show other countries' currencies collapsing more, meaning the USD is still the dominant currency. The Euro isn't a bad one, though. It's like 20% of world reserves (the USD is like 70%). But is anyone else running as huge a debt as we are?
  12. So what currency should I trade my soon to be worthless US dollars for?
  13. Just another example of Obama running his mouth without giving it much thought beforehand.
  14. No, we've been trying the not last resort for 30 years now. Obama won't nuke Iran. It'd be politically dangerous both at home and abroad. I didn't say anything about nuking Iran. That's the thing about appeasement. The price of taking a stand always seems too high, but the price of appeasement always turns out far, far higher. Oh, Thanks, Russia. http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/from-russia-w...defense-system/
  15. I don't get it.
  16. Wait what? "Balls" you say? You mean Truman in the middle of a debriefing in the war room, pulled down his pants and smacked his balls and salami on the table? "Look at the size my balls! They're huuuuuge! They're big as a clocktower bell! You know what these balls say? They say that we need to nuke the japs ASAP! Any further questions? Otherwise you can discuss this matter with my balls in person!" How did you know? That's exactly what happened! Yes it is, and it takes balls to go to that last resort. Otherwise you're Chamberlain, not Churchill.
  17. There's no way Obama has the balls to bomb Iran, so your Islamic nuke is secure, don't worry.
  18. Tsk, tsk, GD, we're all citizens of the world now. Get with the program, or you'll make the Chairman cry.
  19. What an excellent argument you make. http://www.armchairgeneral.com/the-day-hitler-blinked.htm
  20. Churchill would most likely be removed and Britain would reach an accomodation with Germany if they lost the entire expeditionary force.
  21. If you want proof, study history. Germans should've won WW2, Dunkirk should've never happened, Confederates should've won at Gettysburg and the Civil War. Is history random or does it follow a pattern, is your life random or is there a pattern? You'll never get absolute proof, that's the point.
  22. Preventing arms smuggling is not a blockade. It's the one thing the international community can realistically do to insure decreased levels of violence in the future.
  23. World opinion is irrelevant, Israel has to defend itself and not rely on anyone else, because they know what happens if they don't.
  24. You can get addicted to anything you use as a crutch to avoid dealing with life.
  25. No, there were too many to shock you, because you're sitting somewhere safe and secure.
