  1. When I start spreading heavy spoilers over this place, your silly spoon-ears will turn into whirling blades!
  2. I give up you wicked rabbit! Have it your way, I don't want to argue about this chicken**** topic anymore.
  3. "Particularly well", compared to FEAR, Half Life 2 or Bioshock, right? I mean tiny levels, stupid AI and 1 shot kills are what makes a FPS "particularly well" in your opinion? I don't consider FEAR, Half-Life 2, or Bioshock to be the standard. Those are EXCEPTIONALLY well. Nothing is "particularly well" if those are to be the point of comparison. Hell, FEAR is my all time favorite for shooting action. I never found the levels to be tiny, the AI to be stupid, and the only one shot kills I was aware of were headshots, which are often considered appropriate. But the shooting was absolutely atrocious. Nearly 1 shot kills, stupid AI, and to top it off it had a not particularly fun aim system. 1 shot kills? Are we talking about IW suddenly? Unless you had the sniper rifle, I needed to bang half an SMG magazine to take down a standard MJ12 merc.
  4. Oh I think it is. PC games usually sell a lot better in Europe than the US. Looking at the sale numbers of the two SKUs of Bioshock for example proved my point very shockingly.
  5. "Particularly well", compared to FEAR, Half Life 2 or Bioshock, right? I mean tiny levels, stupid AI and 1 shot kills are what makes a FPS "particularly well" in your opinion? Was still not good in the shooting part, admitted, but had plenty ways to reach your goals, plenty of story substance, plenty of penalties for stupid acting. Et cetera.
  6. IW on it's own was still a major disappointment. It did everything wrong, as a shooter, as an adventure, as an RPG. Whatever.
  7. Why are you defending IW so vigorously? It failed on every level. Just as Aegeri said.
  8. It's a sequel to Deux Ex, but to claim it's a bad game for being a different game is unfair and even a bit asinine. Comparisons are one thing, but comparisons as the meat of judgement is another. Being different is one thing, being crappy another. DXIW was supposed to be a sequel within the same genre, right?
  9. IW was shipped with "Deus Ex" on the box, thus people had high expectations. And it was a sequel to DX. There was JC Denton, for starters, so naturally fans are entitled to compare it to the superior predecessor.
  10. Isn't MOTB coming out tomorrow already? I'm looking forward to some player reviews...(non spoilerish, of course).
  11. Just released. Click My download is slow as hell, though (only ~100K/sec).
  12. Playing a CIA agent, with KOTOR combat system????!?!?!?!?! No.
  13. The setting could still take place in a fictional, yet contemporary world. It would justify the existence of Orcs and Elves then, hence, PC stuff...
  14. Who says it's even gonna be an RPG? Obsidian never claimed they're an RPG-only developer.
  15. Orange Box? Team Fortress 2? Valve? It's a box full of Oranges. Each Orange has a Valve attached. If you pull the wrong one, the infamous "Team Fortress" will jump out, battle their way through your silly spoon-ears and eat your brains. It's really fun! Trust me. Trust me.
  16. If rumors pop up, the official announcement can't be that far away anymore.
  17. Mass Effect probably will...just when? I hope not to late. I just saw Alan Wake also comes to PC, but Vista-only. I'M not gonna install this POS. Dead Space? Normally, EA announces the platforms and locks that down. I never saw them porting a game afterwards...but maybe (hopefully) I'm wrong.
  18. Dead Space is a new original property. Nobody can deny though that it's premise is akin to System Shock, even though the devs claim their inspiration is mainly from Event Horizon and Pitch Black. Besides, it's from that Redwood whatever team, the team that was longly rumored to make a Shock3. They figured it would be better to turn it into a new game/franchise, to avoid the heat from the rabid Shock fans (look what Bethesda has to endure now). Because why reviving an unpopular franchise (sales wise) when you just can create a new one? They figured right. Anyway, I yearn for a well done Sci-Fi Horror-Survival game. Bioshock was great, but neither was it scary, nor Sci-Fi, so that doesn't count. After Mass Effect and Alan Wake, this is #3 of console-only games I really really want to play. If that list goes up to 5 X360 exclusives, I'm gonna get a X360 for real.
  19. The official homepage is online! It's only a teaser site right now, though. Click Pros: I want it I want it I want it! Cons: Console only. Whahahaha!!!!
  20. Sure. If the contract is signed for the whole trilogy, though, I'm gonna rob a bank and buy a Xbox 360. Anyone with me?
  21. There's Pontebeer for Shock2. I'm too lazy to provide a link, though.
  22. And if they're at it, they'll port it to the PS3 as well and seek for a different distributor.
  23. I purchased the Orange Box today and just played a little bit Team Fortress 2. That's some hilarious stuff that Valve have done there. I really like the different classes and the slick Toon-Shader look.
  24. I doubt it. If it takes really that long, it would overlap with ME2 Xbox360. Given that the Unreal Engine already runs on the PC by default and they don't need to create new Hi-Res textures (because the X360 textures should be good enough), this should only take 5, 6 months. Unless they need 2 years time to decide whether to port it or not.
  25. Warcraft stopped being decent after Part 2. I want them to complete Starcraft 2 first before they think about their next big RTS. A new franchise maybe would be nice.
