So, anybody played Singularity? Is it worth 15

I just don't "get" Microsoft. They cancel promising products while wasting money on releasing turds. Shadowrun from FASA Interactive started as a singleplayer game, but some bigwit decided that scrapping it and releasing the MP mode with 5 maps would be the better choice. Also shutting down Ensemble must have been the dumbest move ever. But hey, this is Microsoft we're talking about.

Today I played this 2007 game called Shadowrun, a multiplayer FPS. An abolutely horrible game. Jordan Weisman however owns the IP now, and they already have a Mechwarrior game in the works, so is there a chance Obsidian might work together with Smith & Tinker on a Shadowrun RPG in the future? It certainly would make me and two, three other guys happy.

No scans allowed. One picture in the GS preview shows a dude with his summoned skeletons fighting a bunch of archers. It also says below the picture that you can stun enemies with your shield. Another picture snipped shows an old white bearded dude in a red robe. The special FX look really great, but characters seem to be too low-poly for my taste.

NWN2 plays fine with a mouse only.

Gamestar also mentioned that DS3 is to 60% complete. So I guess this is a summer/fall release.

I'm in the middle of Stranger's Wrath. Really good game despite having some frustrating moments.

Securom is harmless compared to this horrible Ubiloader.

Okay, Section 8 sucks hard. I really need to stop buying sucky games even if they're ass cheap. It tends to stack up.

So, here are some details from the Gamestar preview -Mouse/Keyboard controls not implemented yet; plays very well with gamepad -Gamestar thinks the game looks a bit dated (I disagree) -You choose premade heroes, each with a different background -Different endings -Voice actors are great -Gamestar could only play with a warrior in the preview build (3 stances: One-handed, Two-handed, Defensive) -DS3 is not close to completion yet, GS thinks it will be released in the second half of 2011 Well, overall a very short preview, with only one new screenshot.

There's also the unannounced stuff that will inevitably come out in Holidays 2011. For example, it's about time Starbreeze shows off their new game. Also Monolith should deliver something this year as well. And then there're rumors my old and beloved Pyro Studios are working on a new Commandos game. Good stuff.

Playing NOLF. So old but still great. If Monolith doesn't announce NOLF3 next then I lose all hope in this company. Also tried a bit Darksiders, which is fun but gets very repetitive.

Ah, I also forgot RAGE. Definitely a must-buy. Not so sure about DS3 actually, there's a possibility Obsidian didn't get enough time to polish things up. SE is also very quite about the game which is not a good sign. Maybe it will be a dead born child.

2011 is one of the strongest years when it comes to quality releases. Even something like Avatar has more artistic virtue than your Avellone written Obsidian game.

Games are driven by technology while movies are driven by art. That's why games will always be for nerds with power fantasies.

The original movie with Kurt Russel was ace. The TV series with Richard Dean Anderson sucked ballz though.

Fallout New Vegas is 40% off on Steam. In some way I feel ripped off now.
